Title: Transactions from gambling websites, lets talk about it. Post by: coinlocket$ on March 09, 2019, 11:03:31 PM Hello, I was looking on one signature and "casually" I've found this transaction as input 2 addresses on the same wallet to others addresses.
Now if the transaction was made from private wallets with many addresses as input in one single transaction we could call them alts. What about when it happens on a gambling wallet? This is one of the transactions with more accounts (on the same signature), I have many of them but for the purpose the thread we need only one example. https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/136f93756cf1404aa61331e882006c8faf8da12b153394aa0faf655a1bcd7c1b https://puu.sh/CXD0s/bd922e989a.png 35tekgtk3SEzD6zcbEWTf1V3dmEuwQzczW cydrix (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1070655) 3BQLWLpTLxLdJEEiRNMGUxtv5wNu2YsGfa lablab03 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1166529) ->> 39szfQKEEDafVVgBGFxyfNHraXRinKkRoL 0.00396795 BTC 3GWXfup8pSkTJ1Kq6u2mHfLCsdd3TWEW9j 0.004 BTC Edit forgot to add the gambling wallet, on some campaigns we have over 50 https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/00000dd86b2f6402/addresses if I'm not wrong is from FairProof.com Title: Re: Transactions from gambling websites, lets talk about it. Post by: suchmoon on March 09, 2019, 11:15:38 PM What about when it happens on a gambling wallet? You can't draw any conclusions from that. The site used a couple of inputs for a transaction... which seems to go back to the same wallet so not quite sure what the purpose of it is but there is no other link here between any of the four addresses. Title: Re: Transactions from gambling websites, lets talk about it. Post by: shasan on March 10, 2019, 02:02:18 AM For exchange or gambling wallet input or output, addresses can be many and in this case, you can't call anyone to alter. If the input address of personal address is many then you may call it the same person so if used by multiple people then you can call them to alter. In this case, you mentioned has taken from service either that is exchange or from gambler or something else, so base on this transaction you cant call them to alter. But if you can find others relation then you may call them to alter.
Title: Re: Transactions from gambling websites, lets talk about it. Post by: The Cryptovator on March 10, 2019, 06:33:14 AM Are two address belongs to same wallet ? If not we can't call them alt account just because of transaction from gambling wallets. Same like also for exchange wallet, if you and me use same DeX for sell token it doesn't mean we are alt. If address created for same wallet and use it on same signature then we can assume that they are alt. I think we need more careful about detect alt account, we shouldn't tag someone by suspicion only (IMO). Transaction made on each other also not strong proof of alt account. We can exchange something each others, so it would not consider alt account also.

Just because one or more ETH addresses send tokens to another ETH address, does not make them all Alts... but no-one listens, they're already off on their And as coinlocket$ has so neatly highlighted here... even trying to use multiple BTC addresses used as inputs in a single transaction only proves that those addresses are from the same wallet, but doesn't actually confirm wallet ownership. As this case shows, with regards to gambling or exchange sites, deposit addresses (and the wallet containing them) are actually owned by the sites... not by the individual users... so there is no way that you can link two users of a given site as being alt accounts based on their BTC deposit addresses for that site. Title: Re: Transactions from gambling websites, lets talk about it. Post by: shasan on March 10, 2019, 08:33:39 AM Are two address belongs to same wallet ? If they belong to the same wallet still you can't tell they are altered. As service wallet can have a lot of BTC address. As I told on my previous post. Hope you got the point.Title: Re: Transactions from gambling websites, lets talk about it. Post by: coinlocket$ on March 10, 2019, 02:46:19 PM What about when it happens on a gambling wallet? That's what I was thinking but from here I have another question: Why on 20k addresses on the wallet, the site uses as input 2 addresses casually from 2 users on the same campaign here on bitcointalk? What are the odds? I can find several transactions as that one on the codex signature. Keep in mind this wallet seems very shady, on some campaigns over 50 accounts uses this wallet and this is very strange ??? https://puu.sh/CXVkD/5569ce8d61.png I will start to investigate more on those. What are the odds? It has occurred as the amount was filled from those two ID for that transaction. I think it is a coincidence that they are on the same campaign and they both are bitcointalk user.Title: Re: Transactions from gambling websites, lets talk about it. What are the odds? I can find several transactions as that one on the codex signature. The odds could be quite high if the site needs a certain amount for a TX and those campaign inputs have very similar amounts. Or perhaps the age of inputs played a role, which would also be very similar among campaign participants. We can't really make any conclusions from that. Post by: S_Therapist on March 11, 2019, 03:48:47 AM How many times was this conclusion wrong in comparison to the times it was right? Right. Quite disappointed by the meriters who think this is the right way to do things. Most of the times, they are alts. Anyway, once I was asked by one of my friend to send him little ETH for covering his fees. I sent but later I thought we both have accounts in bitcointalk and what if someone just links us as alt?Meriters possibly liked his speech that doesn't mean that they agree with. Also, people should not merit a post only because they are agree with the statements. Title: Re: Transactions from gambling websites, lets talk about it. Yes, I know everyone can insert fake data on the spreadsheet but don't worry I will double check if they are fake. Title: Re: Transactions from gambling websites, lets talk about it. At this point there is no way of catching them not until they posted the same wallet address from one of the accounts or if they have used the same social media account like what you have caught earlier in your thread. If wallet transactions cannot be enough to tag them this is the only thing I see how other DT members will agree to you. As I said on the last post, the list posted is not the list of users has been accused. The list is a list of people who have the transaction in commons and since the transaction can be from a gambling website this proves nothing. I think we need more careful about detect alt account, we shouldn't tag someone by suspicion only (IMO). Transaction made on each other also not strong proof of alt account. We can exchange something each others, so it would not consider alt account also. I have said the same thing several times on the "Known Alts" thread... Just because one or more ETH addresses send tokens to another ETH address, does not make them all Alts... but no-one listens, they're already off on their Lol, funny how you don't know that half the forum uses this method to escape being linked their accounts. What accounts are linked in reputation is just less than 0.01%.
