Post by: markstivn98 on March 11, 2019, 09:56:41 PM
How can I convert what I have from Ethereum to bitcoin
in the inside of the blockchain portfolio.
Is this possible or I can not convert it to bitcoin.
 please explain.

You need to sell your ethereum into bitcoin through exchanges like binance, localbitcoins, coinbase, bittrex and other well known exchanges.

You can scout to the forum's Currency Exchange --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 and deal with someone(exchanger) for that. Only trust those reputable people.

The blockfolio app is just for viewing coin prices and how your portfolio has been doing. There's no provision for exchanging coins in there. Instead, you should use exchanges like Huobi, Binance, Okex, Kucoin etc

If you want to swap your coins (ETH and BTC) instantly without having to sign up and log into the above-mentioned exchanges, use coinswitch

I made an easy explanation here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5115860.msg50083602#msg50083602

Blockchain has a built-in exchange and I think you don't need to go far.

You can check these links below.

https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018352731-How-to-exchange-cryptocurrencies-using-Swap

And here is for buying ethereum and vice versa from blockchain(Partnered with ShapeShift)

You can use the below link to sell ETH to BTC:
https://coinswitch.co/coins/ethereum/ethereum-to-bitcoin

If you are using wallets like Guarda, Exodus they have a inbuilt feature were you can swap coins within the wallet. Hope this resolves your query.

If I have understood what you have written, you are looking for exchanging your Ethereum to Bitcoin through blockchain.com wallet. If this is the case, follow what BitMaxz has shared, otherwise, you have to do it through an exchange.
You can also try here in marketplace. Some people probably will be interested to exchange. Don't forget to use escrow in that case.

I suggest you use some service like instaswap changelly easyrabbit coinswap etc...

Every coin has an minimum. You can check it by selecting which pair you want to trade.

The time varies but it’s usually fairly quick (a few minutes the last time I tried, while some people get their coins stuck for a few hours). It’s all about luck.

But why are Bounty campaigns pushing eth instead of bitcoin?

Most of the bounty campaigns are paying in ERC20 tokens which is not ETH,o make sure that you want to convert token or ethereum!

As far as I know, the minimum amount is that you have something left with your wallet after the transaction fee then it will be convertible.

It's safe. I use it a lot. Changelly is good, but it's nice to compare different sites do get the best rate.

They take advantage as they charge a small % of your conversion. If the Volume is small, that's ok because withdrawal fees in exchanges are high but for high volume exchanges are usually better.

You usually receive the converted coin in less than 30mjnutes.

Thank you. I want to exchange a small amount.
Do you advise me to collect them until they become larger? Then I replace them.

I have never used changelly after being so long in crypto. There are tons of exchanges where you can exchange your ETH to BTC so long as the exchange is in the business for a long time, you can assure to get your BTC out of the ETH. Most of us prefer binance actually, its the most popular so far that we know today.

What particular portfolio? I believe there were portfolio that can connect to other exchange and you can change your eth to bitcoin or to other alts. But I can recommend you bittrex to trade your ETH to BTC. It's the safest trading at a trusted exchange.

I think you have good knowledge in exchanges because if you really want to exchange your Ethereum to Bitcoin you are not lavish in crypto exchange. If you want to increase your post count this is not a place so don't play with others effort.

The more you accumulate, less you will spend on miners fees when converting.

However BTC price is more stable than any other Altcoin. So, in long term, it's better to exchange your alt for BTC as fast as possible.

I can attest that this exchange site is reliable just like on what he said i do prefer this site too but i dont know if they do already impose KYC thing just like
what happened with Shapeshift.

Have you already try to use that in-built swap thing with blockchain?

From the list I only have experienced with changelly so I can say that they are safe. But there were some noise about a few months ago saying that they will confiscate coins is they deems it's dirty. But if you're exchanging small amounts, I guess they're safe.

ETH is very liquid, you can exchange that in the top existing trading sites.
With over $4 billion daily trading volume, I'm sure anytime you can get the best price - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/#markets

If you are using wallets like Guarda, Exodus they have a inbuilt feature were you can swap coins within the wallet. Hope this resolves your query.

You can checkout the reviews of the exchange they are good. Also, there support service is available across the clock so even if you have any queries you can just get assistance in no time.

Initially when I was using there site I had create a very small amount to check. For me everything went fine so I use it regularly. Last time when I was swapping XRP to BTC I forgot enter the destination tag while sending. But, when I contacted support they helped me out and executed my order.

You can compare prices across top exchanges and buy through any without creating an account

It is possible now that blockchaininfo.com has incorporated Ether wallet in their system. The internal transfer mechanism works just fine. Log in to your www.blockchaininfo.com and look to exchange and work through the local exchange section. It will convert Bitcoin to Ether and vice verser.

Did not you use any exchange before dear?  Just register binance and deposit your eth to the deposit address. Sell your ethereum with BTC. And withdraw your money to your private wallet. Its simple. Good luck

very rarely, cryptocurrency wallets provide favorable conditions for exchange. Of course, if they use certain exchanges, they can be profitable. But nevertheless, I always use precisely exchanges or exchanges, since I myself choose the appropriate conditions.

They have no choice than to do that because when it comes to Bitcoin blockchain, there are so many limitations to creating an ICO while ethereum easily permit the creation of ICO and lots cheaper to them than using Bitcoin blockchain.

In fact, most of the new ICOs now are mainly ECR 20 token base while 50% of the older ones are ECR token too, though we have lots of Ethereum competitors too and the major one we might see pushing ethereum aside now is the invention of the Binance chain too  that will soon join in the competition.

You have three options to do this. Your first choice will be to trade on any market, which will be the safest option for you. Your second option will be to trade directly over your wallet service depending on the wallet you are using. Blockchain.info wallet service is one of the reliable services that will allow this exchange to take place. But the process here takes some time and there is a bit more commission fee compared to the market services. Your third choice may be to trade directly with other individuals, but I don't recommend this option because this is the most risky option among the options I've mentioned.
