One can't certainly tell which is come to pass. From the look of things, it seems we may remain in the 3K zones except something otherwise happen. You forget to include the organ-threatening eaters prediction, that is John McAfee. I hope it reaches $15k this bear market is becoming unbearable.

Well. Predictions are pretty much just rough guesses anyway; we really shouldn't take them seriously.

As for Arthur Hayes' prediction though, it's a pretty realistic prediction in my opinion. A lot of people(including myself) are expecting a longer timespan of price stagnation and slow downtrend.

these are all nonsense guesses because you can't predict the exact price at an exact time in long term. all you can predict about bitcoin is that it will rise up and reach a new ATH pretty soon but when and how big that ATH is going to be is impossible to say. for example in the beginning of 2017 nobody could ever predict the ATH is going to be at $20k, if you asked anybody they would have said $5k tops and some newbies would have thrown big numbers like $10k, $50k,... all possible but unpredictable.

right now the ATH in 2019 depends on when we start the rise. for instance if we start the rise this month we can expect price between $10k and $15k by the end of the year easily and a the ATH broken in 2020 and before halving price can be $30k.

Those predictions are useless and basically baseless we all know that no one can tell what will be the price of bitcoin in the next hours,days, or even years. Those what you call predictions are for me its just a "GUESS" so dont waste your time looking on their "predictions" if you believe then HOLD and if you dont then sell. easy pissy...

as you can see they are all predicting, the price with different numbers and if you will look on it the numbers are very far for ones said meaning they really dont have any basis on their predictions, and sometimes we cant call it predictions anymore because no one really knows it and it is all guessing game now.

You really cannot tell, these people are just plain guessng. So I'll add my guess which is that bitcoin will be at $5000 by the end of the year.

I mean staying at $3k for a whole year and not just that, you should know that this is not the start, this is after more than a year of drop! so basically this is predicting one of the longest down trends in bitcoin history which would be more than 2 years if it came true. and I can't see how that is a possibility!

You cut add John McAfee 1 million for one bitcoin prediction by the end of 2020 on your prediction list, that's just 22 and a half months from now.
I don't think that anybody should take those predictions too seriously, they are just fun to read and from time to time some of them comes true.

The predictions are all funny though a hopeful thought from them all. We all see the potentials bitcoin has witnessing the rapid adoption is receiving from individuals, companies and even government. Thus, we tend to try to predict how its future price will be. In as much as I like the fact that they all have positive predictions of bitcoin price, I will like to state no one can predict accurately what will happen to bitcoin price at any given time. We all just sit and watch events unfolds. Bitcoin price will pump someday and no one knows when. Can be next week, next month, nexr year or years after but then its usefulness is something we should enjoy now while we try to spread the goodnews about bitcoin to everyone in rgw world for adoption and usage.

Its hard to take anyones advice seriously.  They always have some type of agenda they are trying to push and they usually just want to fatten their own pockets.  Of course people that work in the crypto industry are going to be calling a 30k+ bitcoin and those that work in the traditional banking system say that it is going to die.  Only trust yourself or honest advice of close friends.

Well, Honestly I love the level of bitcoin right now because I’m still waiting for my money and I can’t buy bitcoin yet so the market should be more stable like this, i will buy more next week so hopefully it will stay beloe $4k, this is a cheaper price so buy and buy more. This, we never know the intentions of those behind those predictions so when it comes to any market it is better to try to rely only on our own knowledge and our analysis of the market once you do that you will soon realize that many of the predictions are made to try to grab headlines and they tend to be exaggerations, so in my opinion most likely the price will not move much for the rest of the year and will end between a range of 2500 and 6000 dollars.

All of these are permabulls (except for Arthus Hayes). Their opinion matters as much as that of permabears like Warren Buffett or some bank CEO. Wishful thinking at its finest.
I'd only trust people who were bullish before the bull run of 2017 and got bearish near the top - and the only example I can think of is Jeff Berwick.

I don't think that price would sustain for a whole year knowing Bitcoin. Also you could predict a prize for December and then suddenly it could be that price or surpass it for October and then fall in December. That is the curiosity about Bitcoin.

Fran Strajnar is making a prediction more far than right now, that is pretty interesting. Let's see if it happens.
 

All of these people are just shooting numbers out there. Mostly salty fomoers who bought at the top. Lmfao. McAffee will probably wind up eating his own junk just because the whales think it will be funny. I bet after McAffee's prediction deadline we will moon again. It'll be a big lol. Well, it's completely subjective anyway. Also, this bear market being titled "one of the longest down trends in bitcoin's history" isn't that difficult to attain though. With a multi-decade asset, sure. But knowing that bitcoin is only 10 years old, really really possible in my opinion.

But then again, it's just my rough guess.

Maybe things will just take a dramatic turn in April and bitcoin price will just explode. And an yet to be able to accumulate bitcoin because I use my money to buy shit coins I hope of increasing my bitcoin from shit coin gain. Today shit coins are just there, nothing to write about them. All of this is just a predictions. It is not bad to use this but I can say that, we should not depend our life within this predictions. For me, if all of this predictions will change, our strategy for living the way here in the crpyto currency community will just ruined. Why? Because, the time that we can freely choose what decision to take, we will depend on this prediction and to what we wanted will not be chosen because this path of predictions is making ourselves to have the second thought.

It has been a slow year for Bitcoin, however, I think the price still has a long way to go. Last year we saw a tremendous spike in the price. This year I think investors and institutional investors are slowing incorporating it into their cryptoasset portfolio's (https://www.smartbitcoininvestments.com/crypto-asset-portfolio/). Overall, since more companies are investing in private blockchains, I would imagine that the price will hit the high 4 digits if not 5 digits by the end of the year.  :)

It still is a mystery for us, and I don't think that the expert knows about that too. But how if we are predicting bitcoin price to increase in a range of $4,200-%10,000 until the end of this year and in the next year, the price will increase higher. In the middle of the next year, the price will more than $20k ;D

Looking at the current market conditions, it will be difficult to reach the prices mentioned above. But if we talk about possibilities, anything can happen. Therefore, we should wait and see. Whose prediction is the most appropriate

Tom Lee has failed so far with his ridiculous predictions but his new one is looking good. 36k by end of year sounds about right to me, especially with the halving next year

I will go with Arthur Hayes, I have no hope for Bitcoin to rise this whole year. But, of course happy to be proven wrong.

Funny really. 22 months to hit like nine hundred and ninety six thousand dollars. Lol.. Is a mark that looks unachievable looking at the very short time frame. Anyway, predictions are just what they stand for.

We can accept all of these predictions and can trust because maybe they do not give results without hard work by gathering a lot of information, but the market really does move freely and is not regulated by one person so that that often makes many predictions wrong. So I think we better wait until the end of this year and let's see where the price of bitcoin will rise.

Trying to predict Bitcoin is really not a good thing as you may end up being disappointed since no one can accurately predict what will happen to bitcoin price at any given time. Well i like the high hope which each and everyone of them has on bitcoin predicting bitcoin to grow very high at different times. It is by far the most realistic of the predictions given in the op but that does not sell, just look at the ads that air in TV and you will not see any realistic ones, most promise you all kind of benefits if you buy their product and even if people know this is not true they fall for that type of marketing every single time, everyone know this including many of those giving those predictions, if they gave realistic predictions then no one will talk about them so they give ridiculous predictions they know cannot be true but that make them appear on the news.

They seem too sure of their predictions. Many have had their predictions right though but  I personally do not act based on these predictions. I believe we must pick it a stage by stage. Now that btc has managed to cross the 4k barrier, we hope it moves upwards till the actual bull run.

Sonny Singh Prediction is what i would like to go with because its reasonable achievable base on the current market price from the beginning of year 2019. Based on the ATH and ATL his prediction are feasible base on my calculation and the halve to give the next ATH in 2020.

What makes you think that it will hit 2k+ in 2020? As far as I know, no one has ever predicted it right about the price of Bitcoin. Some of these predictions may be closer or far from the truth but no one has ever predicted it right because cryptocurrency is unpredictable.

Till date none has come up with exact predictions about the market. In recent years Elliott wave chart gives almost closer prediction about the market. Recently his prediction came true with the fall after crossing $4000 and showing price pumping. Now this is happening, and hope this gradual growth continues long term.

Some predictions are too much and some are more realistic i do hope for a price of $10k this year so lets continue to give positive feedbacks about cryptocurrency, it can help a lot. 

Mive Novogratz should stop predicting, I know he's a believer and bitcoin bull but he needs to stop for a while and let the market work on its own.

Hey currently bitcoins prices are rising due to high sentiments and people holding on their coins, but we need more positive news to push bitcoins prices upwards. In my personal opinion if we sustain 4K levels for a while, then we may see previous levels of 6500$ back. However it’s to early to presume it can touch 9k and above levels, we will have to wait for few more days or months before we can reach that conclusion.

Like you said, time will tell and in few months’ time, we will see the right one but as a believer, not only based on my opinion but based on all necessary analysis available for consumption, I think Bitcoin price at $9,000 at the end of this year is realistic to me, if bitcoin is to be gaining at least 30% increase in value every 3 months for the next 9 month. The figure quoted by each and every one of them will only be a reality after the next halving.

That mean we should be positive sir,  I am thinking that on average from this predictions bitcoin should be above $10,000 by December.  It means if we buy bitcoin now we should expect our funds to be triple before end of this year.

That was after being proven very wrong in 2018. Last summer, Arthur Hayes was predicting $50K by the end of the year!

It just goes to show you, almost everyone gets caught in the hype and becomes unwilling to turn bearish after a bubble. Like most people, I was also the same way in early 2018, refusing to switch gears to bearish for too long.

Now we're heading for the opposite end of the pendulum. After this bull trap tops and we approach the December bottom again, we're going to see people really start giving up on Bitcoin. And the bears are going to keep aiming lower and lower. And it's going to mark the bottom just like it did in 2015.

I do think we'll be in and out of the $3,000s for most of the year. But I'm confident we're approaching the tail end of this bear market.

I think that most of these predictions won't even pan out.

Given the predictions listed above, there are a lot of people who expect the price to somehow jump to 5 figures by the end of the year. I don't think this is possible in such a short period of time, and with all the bearish sentiments still remaining in the market. After all, people are still quite uncertain and much more conservative in their investment approach after the downswing.

It's important to note that most of these so called "experts" are just mainstream media guys that throw out arbitrary sensationalist predictions. I would bet that most are completely unbased as well, with no valid fundamental or technical analysis in the first place.

those predicting more drops at this point are purely idiots who are even dumber than those who were predicting a new ATH in 2017. these people are either trolling or are those guys who always go against the market trend because they are caught up in the previous trend which is already over :D

for this year we will see rises eventually even if it takes a couple of months to occur. my guess would be a price below $10k because to go above it means a much bigger price rise than possible without having something big happen. other than that with normal market rises that bitcoin inevitably has, price will reach something around $8k to $10k and in my opinion anything above that can not be predicted right now.

because the possibilities are still far away, and we haven't seen it yet. and I also believe that bitcoin will recover again in 2019, but can't say how and when.

I'm not sure if you understand how technical analysis works, but one of the more important aspects of it is that the trend is your friend, and the trend currently is definitely on the side of the bears. I don't think we'll see levels much lower than the current $31xx bottom if we haven't found a bottom already, but it might flash below it very briefly. I think that's actually very bullish too, because more coins get sold at lower prices, which is exactly what strong hands are waiting for.

As for the 2017 part, the trend at that point was extremely bullish, so it made sense to expect higher levels. In all honesty, people right now make fun of those who held their coins, but the price at that point could very well rush towards $30,000-$40,000 with that sort of momentum. It would only require a 100% increase at the peak so it wasn't out of the ordinary at all.

I don't follow predictions by people heavily invested in the asset.

Despite all these predictions about the high price values ​​of Bitcoin by the end of the year, we have so far observed the relative price stability of the market for a long time. yes i am aware with those .  i always read lots of notification on my google chrome browser ( its about price predictions by these so called experts ) they say the price can climb 50k , 100k  and so on  . i find it funny because thier predictions may seem to be unrealistic anymore but thats better imo than seeing negative predictions about the cryptos  .  thier predictions may/did not occur today or yesterday but i believe they can occur on the future .

I guess those names are rich people who happens to have large amount of crypto in their pocket. They are still humans by the way, just like us who has our own understanding and study about the market so we could make our own predictions. Not always a wise idea to follow these peoples prediction.

Those prediction is very high in my opinion wherein very difficult to achieve also because market still weak. And however if this situation constantly occurring  there's is only one thing will happen  for sure and the small predictions above is the only one that have a possibility in the future in my opinion,wherein unless market didn't change or enhance the performance until year end.  

I don't think it's weak because the foundation of the bitcoin is still good and every month comes when this year came become more better. Prediction is good as long as is real in reality to happen or possible to achieve. Because other people prediction is not nice because without proper redesrching they create their prediction which is very big and other prediction is very low.

Bitcoin is a unsolved mystery so no one will said the next month pump in crypto market. All the peoples are ready to invest in Bitcoin but they are all waiting for the solid proof of Bitcoin pump. Once it will cross the 5k USD automatically it will move forward. May be it will possible on next two months so keep monitor the market is important in future price prediction.

Everything here was still unpredictable with bitcoin, that's why until now recovery for price became a myth behind every speculative ideas. Many people said based on how they've observed good or bad, but sadly the actual this wasn't that into reality. We're still experiencing total bearish market, and numbers of panic holders remained increasing. Being updated with the price is still our best option for now, but if we closely monitor the price probably it will make you more frustrated when you seen the price volatility changes badly.

These are just predictions, it could hit or not but it's good that most of them are bullish this year.
I would go with the majorities thinking and I believe we will have a higher price this year, higher than $3K of course as that is our lowest.

If there is a real progress in the market, it will drive a more bullish price and it's healthy for the market, since correction is probably over.

They are more knowledgeable than we are about trade, but not about cryptocurrency. Because things are much different here and we all see the same thing. These possibilities may be, but the probability is very low.

The chances of their predictions actually becoming a reality is high, especially the one predicted by coinswitch. There are already signals presently now that shows that a lot of major big institutions are warming up to enter the market which is quite possible for it all to happen these years and if they can all adopt its usage at once, we might see a drastic review in price of Bitcoin upward because most of these institutions are coming in not as whales but to adopt the system, especially the one of Bitcoin and use for their daily transactions.

It was just a plain predictions. But the thing is, they are very much positive that bitcoin will rise up to the moon in time. Just like most of us here, we are also hoping bitcoin to reach $20k above. Who else doesn't want huge profits? I bet, no one. If the market will move forward and the corrections will make it, that predictions will be possible.

Yeah, all these predicators are optimistic, they predict that bitcoin price will increase in the future and it's really so good, I mean like our hope remains. Personally, I think that bitcoin price will increase until 10-15k$ range by the end of this year, I'm a bit realstic at least, with this high price, I'll make a huge profit, so I'm still patient and waiting for the bitcoin price to increase.

Those predictors are so optimistic about bitcoin price really! Especially Fran Strajnar, who said 200k $ by Jan 31 2020.. It's something like a dream for me, anyway, I think the closest prediction is 15k to 20k by the end of this year like Sonny Singh said. I don't know when bitcoin will start to increase in value, but I think the high increase is soon, we should stay holding our bitcoins and waiting for the market to be highly pumped.

We all remembered the craze of Bitcoins getting 20k USD and we still need Bitcoin to rise up more.

I'm leaning towards the block halving to be the mean catalyst for the price to go high and most probably hit some of those predictions. As far as I can remember, it was 4 weeks prior the the halving that the rally started and then a slow 4 months after and the eventually bubble in 2017.

What I don't like with the ETF approval or even the BAKKT Bitcoin future offerings is that it's beyond our control. It's good to happen though, but I'm betting that the block halving is a big event to happened next year.

If you look at those predictions, almost all of them are really looking for a new all-time-high. Fran Strajnar prediction though, for me, is not gonna happen, well I do hope it will, but let's be realistic $200K? Nah I doubt it. And just like the rest of you guys, if a eventual bull run happens in the future, then there's no stopping it, most probably around $30K'ish in 2020, but that's just my wild guess and don't take it seriously.  ;D

Contrarians as minority have done way better going against the majority so far, and there is no reason to believe this time will be different with how the mass has been an amazing counter indicator.

I still see people be somewhat bearish when it comes to Bitcoin, especially with how altcoins have been gaining more momentum, and this is exactly what gives me the confidence to accumulate more Bitcoin and firmly hold it.

Altcoin euphoria always ends with a lot of blood and the money that will flow in Bitcoin will cause a sweet leg up, especially with the block halving being an important event to focus on.

All predictions are only limited to predictions, no one can provide certainty about changes in Bitcoin prices. So we have to do personal analysis and usually the instinct will affect the luck that we might get. These are all things that are difficult to understand, but for all of us who believe in cryptocurrencies, we will be very confident that this is a new era where cryptocurrencies will become a global financial system in the future.

I suggest mate don't expect too much on this situation because there's always a factor that always exist and manipulate the price suddenly. Especially when bitcoin regaining value because mostly always dump and take that opportunity just to obtain quick profits  . So dont assume high value in the future and must wait for results before adding a prediction.

Anyone can do its own research and made his assessment, we do need to do our homeworks and study everything so we can speculate well, opinions by those well known personalities can take some weight as believers usually checked them out and also there's some followers who also chasing their believes, but still it's just assuming and there's no assurance who's gonna make a good call.

Its hard to predict what price BTC will end the year. I can probably predict what will happen at the end of next quarter Q2 so somewhere around end of June 2019.

Basically we are approaching a very strong and very important support level, basically the $4200-$4400 is major resistance and we are slowly approaching it. Above this area, there isn't much resistance until the $5800 low of 2018.

Hence the way that bitcoin behaves in the next couple of weeks will plan out its behaviour for the next quarter. There are many people who were expecting BTC to break the $3K and head to $2500 and there are many shorts which are underwater. Hence a big move is coming.

This is just the exact thing happening that you have said, so many people you see also speculating on this forum are either using another person’s speculation which they don’t really know how the person came about such value, so as you said, we need to start doing lots of our own research, technical analysis is not supposed to give too many figures for prediction if done well and rightly because its being done on same market we are all using, so If I do my own work very well and I used technical analysis to predict a value, another person should be able to use same analysis to also arrive at same value except fundamental analysis which I know it cannot all work for everyone at once.
