Title: Waves Airdrops?
Post by: jerry0 on March 13, 2019, 07:10:38 PM
I keep my waves in my waves wallet.  I also lease them as well.  As many of you know, you get things sent to your wallet for holding waves.

1.  Are these called airdrops or not?  If not, name?  Or some are airdrops but others aren't?

2.  Someone mentioned that lot of these coins are fake coins and they are not legit?

3.  When i click on my portfolio i have coins like this

Tidex
Liquid
Turtlenode
grantsbounty
wavesnode.net
socl oceanlab
voltroon
coffeecoin
eot token
age of universe
progression
x token
y token
bullrun coin
zenycash

I have over 50 of these coins at least in these assent name.  I also notice many shows false under reissuable.  Some are true.  Can someone explain what does false vs true mean?  So false are fake coins that are not real but true is?  However that cant be true because it shows false for liquid and i know that is a legit coin.

Could i sell any of these coins i have in my waves portfolio wallet?  There are at least 50 of these coins minimum.  Some of these look fake... it shows x token, y token and you got many others looking like that.  Do you click transfer or details?

Anyone with a waves wallet and these things in their portfolio could explain what we could do with these coins?

Because there is no restriction on the Wave platform and it is decentralized. With 1 WAVE you can also create currency as you wish. But, when you use them, be careful. If you need to deposit money for selling any of them, never do it.

Most of the coins are worthless from here and you will get a tiny amount which is worthy! Everyone gets the same coins like you who hold some WAVES in their platform. Even If you check binance exchange you will see that many coins added in your portfolio! It means exchange does Airdrops to its users in monthly or Quarterly or yearly based!

You can try to check dex waves and if there was one of the coin that already listed on waves dex and you can try to sell your coin dude. i guess those coins will be listed on the waves dex instantly.

There are even more than the tokens you have mentioned in my waves wallet and I have still been seeing more of the tokens sent to my waves wallet without knowing where it's been sent from and how those tokens will be of benefit to me.

I have actually checked all through the waves DEX and I can't find any of the token in my wallet listed there, so I don't really know what we are to do with the tokens since it can't be traded.

that was some useless airdroped coin for the holders of waves. I also have that in my wallet.
just ignore that. most of them is worthless

Personally, I check all those coins sent to my wallet then SELL the coins that have value more than the fee that I'll be using and IGNORE the rest.

1. Yes, they are airdrops - more info HERE (https://docs.wavesplatform.com/en/waves-client/frequently-asked-questions-faq/transfers-and-gateways/airdrop.html)
2. Some airdrop coins are scam/spam and you can see them in the spam section of your wallet
3. It's not only you who received those airdrops, my advice is to sell them if you're able to and you think it's worth it (since you'll be paying waves as fee) BUT NEVER BUY unless you've checked the coin if it exists in other exchanges and have a great volume.

About the Reissuable Asset (https://support.wavesplatform.com/en/knowledge-bases/2/articles/145-what-is-reissuable-asset):

Re-issuable defines if an asset issuer can increase the token's supply at a later point or not. If set to "Reissuable", the issuer can increase the supply any time. It's also important to know that if re-issuable is set to true at the beginning.

I just went now to your wallet and a lot of very much the same coins , but they are all worthless, for a Commission more than give for the sale of coins )

If so then reissuable s not good.

there are lots of tokens you'll get just by holding WAVES token so if you wanna find out whether you can sell them, logon to your waves clients and go to the DEX, you check the tokens you got whether there is a market for it. Most probably those tokens listed on tidex are also listed on the DEX.

I also notice that there are a lot of shitcoins in Waves platform and I seldom see ICO in Waves platform even in the market companies and start up prefer the smart contract of Ethereum, Waves has to do something about this they are being left in the race.

I have lost interest a long time ago, don't know but the zeal to invest or participate in any wave based project is no longer there.

I think out of all these links I am seeing here
Only liquid was a waves airdrop for token holders of wave

Others are probably spammed airdrop tokens

Log in to the waves app, and the app will help you split real tokens from spam tokens

Hope that helps

Yes, that is an airdrop in waves network. I have many others in my DEX market, but unfortunately, it's not worth, and you cannot bring them in the real exchanges because it's only available in their DEX market. I think it's better to leave them alone in the DEX and if in the future, the DEX can explode like ETH market, I am sure that the airdrop will be worth to sell.

I am also getting lots of waves tokens even i am not applying any of them.

Also it is very time consuming to check every token if they have any value at all in waves dex.

How do we check if the coins are legit?  Also someone mentioned a while back that if they are not legit, then you could get a virus from clicking on that coin info... is that true or false?

waves now have their own exchange right? now you are trying to enter and try to find the assets that you have, if there is none then the coin might be fake.

Waves blockchain was one of the most disappointing for me in 2018. Asides its cheap usability, I also learnt that developers can create Dapps on waves platform for a ridiculously cheap price and they are scarcely regulated. It explains why there are huge number of shit coins on the platform

The only that is legit airdrop as for my knowledge are the Mercury, WCT and the coming Vostok token. These are just the ones I know are good tokens to trade which were airdropped to waves token holder. Vostok were't distributed yet. As for the reissuable, its for the tokens that can be re-edit by its creator or not.

In my opinion, not all of them are coin / tokens from airdrop but for waves I myself am still confused sometimes coins who do not have balance waves are still able to get airdrop which is quite valuable (cryptogram) but on the other hand addresses that have waves don't get it, but I'm sure these waves are almost same like ethereum which allows us to get a coin / token spam

I have read an article saying that waves really conducts a lot of airdrops. And, by that airdrops the article says that airdrops from waves will have a value. You just need to wait for them to have a value. .

I don't know if that's true. I just read that somewhere.

I have more than a hundred of these tokens. You can try to sell them, but as a rule, they are worth nothing. These are spam tokens.
You can also burn them (there is such a button "burn token") or hide their display.
Or you can just leave them and ignore these garbage tokens.

I have many of those coins on my wallet too and I really don't know what to use those trashs for. I will have to pay transaction fees to burn them. The rate of spam on the waves blockchain gets me thinking how many are comfortable using it

honestly I haven't been on an airdrop for a long time or searched for profits from airdrop. because I think the airdrop rules are too complicated and the results are also not much. but platform waves is one of the best and best airdrop platforms.

My waves wallet also sometimes getting unknown shittokens from nowhere else. But, if I got shittokens like this I prefer to sell it to waves than hodl it on my wallet...
If I can't sell it, maybe I prefer to burn these shittokens...

OP, you are lucky and must be having a lot of Waves in that wallet to be getting such a huge number of airdrops (50?). I keep just 4 Waves in my wallet and I have zero airdrops reliable in my wallet. I get sent tx notification with nothing in the whatever token I see supposedly sent to me. It's always something like this 0.000000. it has been that way for months now.

because the more the airdrop years get worse because the airdrop doesn't produce anymore, so it's better if I just join in the campaign bounty rather than on airdrop

Waves is good but not all time. airdrop is gives free  token.  but some Time,, it's coin is so poor.  and it price is low. so I think,, it is good.   so you can participate any Waves airdrop campaign.

waves is always in the business of airdropping all its holders with loads of tokens that are created on its platform and then you login one day and find so many waves platform tokens in your wallet and the part that doe not actually seem to catch my fancy is when they get exchanged and yet they do not arrive at even one waves coin

I guess these tokens are just created by waves fans and it's deliberately shared with the another users wallet, yeah,, of course with certain conditions. It coming without a project, naturally it becomes worthless. At present even tokens that are officially launched by a project, often become worthless, especially just random airdrops like this.

Nothing to do with worthless assets. Will stay in our wallet like a trash. I have coins also in my waves wallet but most of them are crap. Very rare that you can see a valuable waves asset. Is it because it is too easy to create a waves asset?

Sometime I feel it disturbs my view, I mean we have lots of tokens, but it's just a collection and not worth it at all. You're right it so damn rare to see a valuable token in there, the really valuable thing in his DEX is only bitcoin and ethereum. I think yes, it's really easy so that so much garbage pops up because of it.

Hey all so im looking at my waves desktop wallet now.  I click on portfolio and i see assets like this

1.  Bitcoin
2.  bitcoin cash
3.  bitcoin sv

I have a very tiny amount such as like 0.00003 in many of these.  It shows the price and the total value usd such as $0.50 and $0.35 and $0.27.  So basically these are legit right?

Then i notice i got

1.  Liquid               8 of them worth about $3 total
2.  Minersreward  150 of them worth about $18 total
3.  Progressive   50 of them worth about $98 total
4.  Surge           70 of them worth $2000 total
5.  Waves community token   30 worth $22 total
6.  Wavesreward token  50 worth $125 total

Obviously surge is incorrect right?  So those other coins are legit?  Thus the wavesreward token and minersreward are legit?

When i click on transactions received, i notice i receive minersreward, waves but then i receive things like

Received Suspicious, Received Read attachment, received admin.  So these are fake right?  So make sure you don't click on it?

In waves network, everyone can makes any token based on waves network with only for small fee of waves.
That is why you got many tokens, but usually those are just some worthless tokens that have no real use case.
