Title: CoinFest 2019
Post by: The Bitcoin Co-op on March 15, 2019, 09:29:47 AM

It's about that time of year, again, where cryptocurrency enthusiasts around the world unite in thanks and celebration. It's been a long, hard winter for us all, but now is the time to put our differences and troubles aside and remember the great teachings of Satoshi.

For those who aren't in the know, CoinFest is an annual decentralized convention that occurs simultaneously around the world. Run by volunteers as a non-profit and funded by generous sponsors, it has always been free to attend and always will be. It also only holds crypto assets and occurs at venues that accept or support cryptocurrency (such as by accepting it for payments).

Some highlights for this year:

  • CoinFest Vancouver will have a Mass Blockchain Wedding and a Blockchain Gaming (http://www.blockchaingaming.com) Expo.
  • CoinFest UK (http://www.coinfestuk.org) in Manchester is now three days long! Expect hundreds of attendees, as usual.
  • CoinFest is now scheduled to occur at 5 different cities across Africa. The main event in Nigeria (http://www.coinfestng.org) will now be two days long.
  • All the usual festivities in the Netherlands

It mostly all went as well as expected, and www.coinfest.org (http://www.coinfest.org) will soon be updated to show the glorious details.

I went to CoinFest  2019 in Manchester and it’s a real MUST for crypto fans. Loads of interesting and informative talks, presentations and cool workshops. To be honest whatever level of crypto knowledge you possess, you can always learn more and CoinFest is an excellent place to do so.
Apart from all the talks and exhibits it’s a great way to meet fellow enthusiasts and have a few beers too.
I’ll definitely be going next year. Thanks CoinFest  :)

Thanks for the enthusiasm! ;D I need to visit Manchester during CoinFest, sometime, but then I can't organize the one in Vancouver for the Bitcoin Co-op. :P

Keep organising the one in Vancouver! if it’s as good as the one in Manchester, you’re doing a sterling job. Kudos to all for organising this event around the world and keep up the good work, I’m SURE all  of the attendees appreciate the work that goes on behind the scenes and hat what makes it such a great event. Thanks again.
