Title: What are the rules against spam?
Post by: arbiter5 on March 15, 2019, 10:36:48 AM
Title. What's the criteria in determining if a certain user is spamming or not? Like this guy that's been hot on the Bitcoin Discussion subforum lately, posting generic topics. Just today, CryptoEP (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2561348) posted 4 topics already that aren't even slightly interesting. He already has created 12 topics with his account that's only been registered for 3 days.

CryptoEP (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2561348)'s topics: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;threads;u=2561348;sa=showPosts

Not sure about you people, but I think this guy is just obviously posting to rack up some post count.

I'm sure that's an alt of EriksonPartners (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2555867) (reported here) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5118069.0). He'll be banned soon.

I gave him a warning earlier about the spam, but you're right, it is him. Banned.
