Constant positive growth since the beginning of this year - Bullish or bearish? Are we going to see some action from bears again or have we really entered in a bullish territory?

Again, it's very hard to predict the market even if you used Technical Analysis. And even if you visited trading view, most of them are not in conjunction as whether we are in the bull market already. The only thing we can do it wait and let the market do its own thing. Of course we wanted to see a bull run already, but at this point its really hard to see where the market is really going.

I agree, there's no clear path as what the market wanted it to be.

There are people saying that the bear is exhausted or near exhaustion. But there are those who predicts that the market will go on one final capitulation before we can see a bull-run.

So it is still 50/50 all we can do is hope that in the next two months the price will go on the $5k levels so that we will move further away from our lowest of $3100-$3200 and it could be a sign that the bull is fighting back to get the market from the bears, so let's see.

i think by the end of this year we will see a full recovery with the presence of security tokens offering good luck for everybody still holding until now you are a true hero my freind :)

This is a very good development in the space, we have a very good first two months of the year and believe with the way things are going that we are going to see another green month in March but people need to be wary of the next quarter because most of the people are still not totally confident holding their money in Crypto and are moving their gains to fiat

We had a dark red day once in December 2017 as well, so I'm not really talking about going back to ~$3000 for a day or so. As long as we can have more green days as compared to red days, I'd say that we're in bullish territory. Till now, 2019 has proved to be very bullish.

2018 was a very bad period. I hope 2019 will be better. We had a really tiring year. I think we're close to the waves of ascent. I think the market volume will grow.

We need to be more patient to validate if this really the bull run. We saw pumps from $3,600 to $4,000 but this can validate that we're totally into bullish run and we're leaving the bears behind.

If this continues up to the end of the year or maybe for next year which makes everyone thinks that bullish will come on that year due to the bitcoin halving. Impact of bitcoin halving really creates positive thought that something good will happen by that time.

Many enthusiasts states that we are entering the start of the new bullish trend already but in my opinion we are stil at the line of a bearish state as we keep on bouncing back, keep on experiencing the expected price drop correction but I believe this year is the new bullrun.

Ongoing year is predicted to give good growth through cryptocurrency. Last year similar predictions rolled out, but nothing big happend. The price fell low and slowly it has been getting recovered gradually. This gradual growth needs to continue making the market bullish. As of now we're not in a exact state to conclude whether the market is bearish or bullish.

The increase in volumes is an encouraging sign. As is the fact that we have remained well above that Dec 2018 low, which is now looking like it was the bottom of the market. We're not definitely out of it yet, but signs are quite positive.

This will continue because the market will not in the bearish trend forever. A rule in the speculation market anything that gets pump must be dumped and otherwise.
Just try to see how strong the support from the market and news. we will know that in the future.

The weekly charts of most top coins such as BTC, ETH turned to buy signals in December/January so that is a good sign for the next bull cycle. The market could still retest its last lows if it does not start breaking out first.

If to compare with the previous 4-year cycles, then this year the market will be consolidated. Thus, one should not expect a clear advantage from bulls or bears.

If you look at the market in 2015, the scenario repeats, it is not known what will happen next, there is a possibility of another correction, deeper, and after that the market will start to recover.

I want to believe that we have finally entered the bullish trend. But alas my assumptions can be false. The market can behave as you like. Therefore, we must accept reality as it is.

Too much positive responses to this thread makes me wanna believe that there is a bit more pain ahead and we're not really only going up from here. There could be a few more corrections.  ::)

It shows that optimism isn't dead thought the market shows painful charts and day by day movements. Corrections are there and we can't be confident that they are about to end quickly.

The huge correction that we experienced was probably over and we're just heading to the mere corrections. It is better not to assume that much and be neutral and positive with all things.

Bullish or bearish, I am very positive that we are still doing good as more and more blockchain projects are created by legit companies. Those who are already established and has their name in the industry and not these start-ups. People are talking about bitcoin and many are starting to understand its benefits, so for me that is also a good sign.

We are still on a sideways and its hard to tell the current trend if its a bull or bear. As far as i know, we are trying to recover and this year hopefully to succeed on this. In this first quarter of 2019, so many new developments and adoption i hope it can really help us to move upward in the next quarter.

I can not answer that question, while it is hard to know what happens in 1 hour. Yeah, we are very close to bullrun this year, but every increase results in the return to the same place where it came from.

We're in no man's land at the moment. Bears seem to be exhausted after trying to push the price down to 3200 and below, and bulls seem to be ready to make a new push towards the last resistance level ($4200) very soon.

It's hard to say that we're entering a bullish phase right now since there isn't a significant price action that makes you believe we're heading towards a bullish market, but it does seem that we've left the bearish sentiment behind over the past few months, so maybe we'll consolidate around the current prices until the bulls trigger a new rally.

The market has positive signs, but it seems that the growth is very weak, the trading volume is still very low. This suggests that the opportunity to create a mutation for the market is very difficult, so I still think we will have to wait a long time for the next rally.

I am seeing this as a good way for a bull Run again the beer market is going to last very soon then we can make this market more profitable and also making the value be more higher forever investment if we hold on it will be a good idea for everyone.

I don't say the market is constantly growing only there are also equal Lee ups and downs happening to this market but the good thing is the improvement is more higher than falling so it could be a chances for a new Bull Run again.

The market was unpredictable in all the time. But everyone have some prediction of upcoming possibilities so I expect it will be move forward gradually. Even every minutes also important in crypto market so I always calculate the long term relationship of growth. May be this year some bull run was possible but after 2022 surely crypto will lead currency economy.

On a bigger frame, it's always bullish, but what I'm trying to ask here is the bullishness on a smaller frame, midterm. It's always possible to guess!

No, I'm talking about "total overall development". It has been on a rise since the beginning of this year. Overall crypto marketcap is now about $140+ billion, from $100 billion in the beginning of the year.

I think 2019 will be better in 2018. We have already experienced a great decline. If there is more decline, perhaps there will be no investors in the market.

Unlike last year when all positive news coming to the space were not affecting the price positively, this year has proven to be different, the first quarter has proven to be good time and the market is recovery, hope the second quarter would sustain the growth momentum

Prices are tendencially not increasing much and that's a sign for me that there are not enough buyers. If there were enough buyers, the reversal after a drop would be higher, including huge volume but there isn't yet anything like that.
A real bull market is still very far away.

on this situation we still have no specific theology because of being still so unpredictable of market and since it always suddenly make fluctuation without any reason. For me in my view  probably on this year its time for market to bullish but not to much in my opinion because like what we always witnessed there's always a factor that always bring the price down. So im not expecting too much on this year especially on this circumstance.

More sideways on me. We can still see more sideways for the year 2019. I'm still bearish since the start of the year, still no confirmation nor breaking the resistance, Bitcoin still can't even stay on above $4,000 for a week. I can confirm that bullish territory will be on above EMA 200, we are still far on EMA 200.
On technical analysis that we are still on bearish. Wait for some good news or adoption before upward price action.

It is very hard to predict whether or not we will have a bull market this year as last year the market let us down. Again, being a smart trader would be the best thing that you can do. Hodling for months won't give you a lot of profit and based for my opinion the longest hodl would be at least 10days specially this month there are a lot of project that will have their mainnet or updates by the end of this quarter and early q2.

Knowing your strategy for short term trading is a must, if you are planning to short this out then you need to be very careful, we can't assure if this
small rise will continue to be stronger, the trend still can't determine if this will lead us to a bull or just same market conditions that we've seen the whole 2018, just being positive will lead you to still gaining from any market conditions just be more focus with the way you will interpret your position.

From the beginning of year we were experiencing a big change in the market. Though it is unpredictable, the market keeps showing good signs of growth. Going low to $3000, now bitcoin has recovered above $4000. Same way can expect similar level of growth in the upcoming days of the year.

I'm not aware of that chart option (the EMA 200), can you tell more about it? It sounds interesting, as I remember that Coindesk Markets tweeted about ADA entering above EMA 200 right before the big upwards push of ADA. I wonder how hard it is for bitcoin to do the same.

The market is showing signs of recover and it is a good sign for all the investors and with the longest bear run in the history of this short market, things are looking good, but never expect the bull run anytime soon, the recovery phase is slow and it might take a long time to see another bull run, but expect the spikes in prices every now and then. The market is trying to hold above $4k now and if it can break the resistance level, then we will see the direction the market takes.

Totatlly agree! Being positive is basically one good traits and also we should hsve strong hands. Set a target and of course set your stop loss can save you a lot of money. Whats happening is that specially in binance, they will pump a coin and dump it for weeks then suddenly another pump will happen. I really dont know what are the strategy of these whales but of course do not ride a train that took off you will get rekt!

I think bullish will come. I mean, we already stable for long time and maybe people already buy and stock bitcoin for future. It means maybe someone or some big groups already have a lot of bitcoin and they ready to make it pumped.

It looks like true but not only bitcoin but whole of crypto has been getting a lot of increase. The pump will come in the future and it looks like the stable market means a preparation for the next jump . maybe next year the bull will come.

To me we are entering into a bullish market and everything is pointing towards that.  If you look at the way things are going you will agree with me that the bearish trend is over and the market is in sideway trend which will lead to corrections and when $4250 trading area and the resistance at that area is broken then we should expect a great recovery that will result in the next bull run!

Markets cannot be fluctuating all the time in fact it is known that most of the time markets move without any clear trend so in my opinion what we are seeing in this year is a market that is neither bullish or bearish, it is just going to move in a range without showing signs of growth or decline, this means that this year is not going to be very good for investors but it is going to be great for traders and those that love to speculate with the price.

I think its bouncing back time, the past years has been troublesome for all crypto people and now, the market is going stronger than ever. I hope we all got the chance to take advantage of the high prices now.

the problem with altcoins is that there is a lot of them. it is not just 10 or 20 that people invest in, instead there are thousands of them that people can choose from.
because of that and also because the hype is over and the money has gone out of the market this "bounce back" will never happen. instead for at least a year we can see only small coins be pumped like they always do by the pumpers and nothing else move at all.

I think not yet and we cannot yet say that bear market is over. For me bears will become weak if market grows over 200 billion in volume and for bull trend i will be convinced if market volume goes over 300 billion.

I think the middle of this year the market conditions are getting better and appear greener, and nearing the end of the year there will be a bullish trend, I believe there will be hope for 2019.

Bears have been acting since December! There were strong kicks there to keep the BTC below $4500. If the BTC today near April is above $4k, it's a big win today for the bulls. The truth is that it is difficult to predict any movement! Yes, we enter a high territory, but always important not to abandon the caution and respect the sellers, maybe something happens and the BTC goes back below $4k! We'd been in bear season for quite long since bitcoin ATH last 2017, the progress that happening now is potential for bull but not as what we expect that happen before BTC reach its ATH. It's still a good thing that the market recovery after the year of becoming too bearish.

As we can see right now, there are repeated bullish and the correction is still performing in the market. The bear market from the last year was already been recovering. If we are just positive about the market, huge bull will come the way at $4500 and up.

After we hit 80-85$ for ethereum, the market started growing. Not huge grow but steady growth. I want to feel good things about it but we have been fooled before. Still, i think we are in or about to be in a bull market.

as what is happening maybe yes but not really a bull IMO.because there is no constant growth since market show a positive sign which is seems like always small bump only. For me probably this will end soon if it didn't enhance performance because it still in danger in my view.

In my personal opinion, I am based on the study of the market by Wyckoff's theory, and due to this high volatility it is due to the accumulation, it may be that in this phase there are some drops or price increases, but the important thing is that the bears and bulls will appear at any time, because this stage is ideal only to buy and hold, some bears make their movements and some operators take advantage to buy cheaper and continue to keep, the bulls always seek to obtain gains in their movements, it is classic to see fight between bears and bulls in the market.

I think the trend for this year will be more bullish because operators are going to look for higher levels of supply to buy, since at low prices there is no floating offer, everyone wants to sell at higher prices.

Bullish like what everyone said. There a lot of people who predict this year will be year of crypto again since 2017 and maybe with next hardfork, it will complete what it need to pump bitcoin and other crypto.

I see slowly the market is starting to grow even though there are still some other declines, but I hope that this increase will be in the long term and is the beginning of bullish.

Sometimes i feel we are already in a bull trend but then again it can be a corrective phase in the long downtrend and the market can move down again, at the moment market is positive and if long term resistance lines are broken and price sustains over that then we can be sure of bull trend.

I think the bull season started. How more can a bull come? The market is very convenient to save money. The right purchase orders can make good gains. The bad days when everything fell.

I think we can already think of bullish but respectful and attentive to any possible bearish attack yet! This market is very unstable and the supports are basically illusory. The feeling is that sometimes they are in seas of countless sharks and whales, but incredibly there are more fish to feed them. Study and practice, besides the power to believe are indispensable.

I think not yet but until now the market continues to show a very positive trend. I hope this condition can continue to run well and the market can pump higher. I think if the market can continue to overcome positive trends, it can certainly foster investor confidence.

The beginning of 2019 looks much better than the whole of 2018, when prices were constantly falling. Many traders say that according to technical analysis, we are at the end of a bearish trend and the beginning of a bullish trend, so I think that now is a good time to enter the cryptocurrency.

Seems bullish until now since the beginning of February and people call it as baby bull run since we didn't reach any big spikes on these days but no more dump on the most predictions so hopefully it will become true.We will be at the bull run when we enter the next quarter of this year.

That's much better for me than making a flash pump or flash dump. So if growing only a little continue, that's good, we can say it's natural if that happens. More sideways to come and we can accumulate more Bitcoin, as of now we need to grow, we need mass adoption before the price  action will change and hopefully the bull run will come.

I think when February the cryptocurrency price increase is very little and it can't be said as a bull market, maybe a bull market can be said to occur when the price of bitcoin can experience a price increase of more than 50%, I suggest you don't miss a moment like that you can because there are still a lot of cheap coins.

Real changes but it's neither bullish nor bearish i think. You're right that the movement has been sideways with a little upward incline. That's not bullish for me. Though i'm not really hoping for a bullish market the scale of what 2017 made. I think this current movement for accumulation is already a good sign that the market is on it's way to real recovery.

You are right, bulls have not happened yet, but at least we can see the market is really moving up and down normally, and that is one reason to trade and invest. This market is very positive despite a decline but so far is still within reasonable limits.

How do you climb step mate, from ascending till you get to your final destination, that first step you placed your leg, for the fact that its low and little, does it stop it from being called STEP? Same way here, we are already in the bull market but just not the full blown one, we are still in the first phase of the bull market and we will continue to get into it gradually until it becomes a full blown one.

The market has already shown this sign since January and we can see the effect from the total market cap too, we might not really be where we want to be now but we are actually not where we use to be after the last bull turns sour for us by forcefully pushing us into the bear market.

I don’t wanna give an exact answer because i know about how volatile the market was,but if we will check the market prices now?And if this continues to grow days come then maybe we are entering the bullish territory and this means good for us.
Looking from the cryptocurrency activities from 2018 this time the outview of many predictions are pointing to the coming bullrun

most people now look like that, bulls may be nearing now. because this market also looks strong and experiences good growth. no need to worry about what happened to the decline that occurred, because it was only in small amounts. now prepare me our assets to immediately welcome bulls.

None can give an exact explanation on this, the market volatility is highly concerned and we don't know when things gonna change. I haven't gone through the entire growth pattern of the previous years, but from the present year's market I believe growth to be assured. From day one of the year there were more specific growth and falls with bitcoin. Now what we experience is pure growth without any external interference. Hope to see this get continued.

Of course, in the beginning of 2019, we see only certain increases in cryptocurrency prices, but only during this week the results were much better and the growth was more active than during the past few months.

the development also very higher in recent times so it can be a good development from this the beginning year but we cannot make a quick decision is probably not working in our time so wait for some time to take the right decision and make it profitable at the end.

At least the price has showed up that cryptocurrency will have potential to leave a bearish market at this time. Such as bitcoin, I never saw in a few months back the price increasing up to 12% but now I can see it, also the price bitcoin has been increasing around $1500 just in a few days and now the sentiment has been changed I guees the price will go up again.

The bull is actually here now and the time the OP was talking about constant positive growth from the beginning of the year was when we started entering bull trend but we were just at semi bull then which many people are fighting hard to believe the market was already on bull trend until recently that bitcoin proved them wrong.

This is the reason why we saw recent spike in BTC price the moment the market showed green, may people started investing out of FOMO which made us see a very fast increase in marketcap amounting to over 20 billion dollars and I think this is not a small amount.

Nearly 40 billions have been added to the total crypto market cap since I posted the thread.
