Title: Re: Buying fan for Radeon HD 5870 Post by: ezdvd on November 16, 2011, 01:36:22 PM the fan on my 5870 shot out the bearing and i was having zero luck finding a replacement. i got a zalman ZM-VF3000A off of amazon for just under $50 and it was totally worth the money. my 5870 now runs at ~50 C

I'm not sure if you can pull the fan off it or not, and I don't think I'll try for you. It's a Buy It at Your Own Risk. ie., I don't want the thing back. The most that shroud was used for was maybe a month and I never cranked it, only gamed on it and let it run at stock.
