Title: Standing out in a sea of ill-conceived projects
Post by: ideafex on March 20, 2019, 11:17:40 AM
First, a bit of disclaimer: we're a blockchain project ourselves, so any tough comment that we make here on blockchain projects as a whole is potentially a criticism for ourselves as well.

What we are seeing is that more serious, quality projects are being developed than ever before, and that the number of straightforward scams that been greatly reduced. Nevertheless, many projects still aren't answering the list of key questions well:

  • Where is your market?
  • What value can you create?
  • Why do you need blockchain?
  • Are you able to make it happen?

As a result, many projects have (i) failed to deliver, (ii) delivered a service / product that is inferior because they have to put it "on-chain" even though there is dubious benefit in doing so, or (iii) has a great product but the market is not ready for it. There is a collective mindlessness in the community in this regard.

We think that blockchain projects and specifically ICOs / STOs should learn from the successes and failures of traditional business venturing and entrepreneurship. This way, we can have a better chance to grow as a community.

Thread isn't belongs to meta, you can move it on Reputation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0) from lower left.

To be honest more then 80% project's team have no clear idea about blockchain technology. On the other hand 90% team are fake. However someone behind of every project but they are not fully aware about blockchain technology. Just create token and start raise fund. Most of projects concept fake. So now a days it's very difficult to found real project. The main reason is they don't have proper knowledge about blockchain and they don't know use of blockchain. Most of project know only how to raise fund and skip.

It doesn't belong to Reputation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0) as well. It is a plain discussion thread and belongs to either Bitcoin Discussion or Altcoin Discussion board, but since it discusses mainly about new projects, ITOs, ICOs etc, so I believe it should be moved to Altcoin Discussion for the topic to be discussed in its proper location.

We are not, project manager, ICO or Blockchain,
So you are more suitable to discuss here: Altcoin Discussion (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0) Or Service Discussion (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=85.0)

Surely you get the answer you want.

This is an interesting topic. I agree with you. However, what do you propose to do? "We think that it would be a good idea to learn how to block business and venture entrepreneurship." Explain in more detail.

Well, crypto is relatively new and this ICO companies are very much new as well and might take a lot of time for them to fully understand and learn how business works, even during the origination of the internet, we had a lot of companies coming up this way every day until there was a correction and the good ones stood and then the upcoming ones learnt from the good one and were able to deliver after their pattern.

I think it's same we are experiencing in the crypto world and very soon it's all going to change.

Most of the projects that come to cryptocurrency initially do not even have an idea what it is, this is the main problem of modern projects, I think that the team should have professionals.
