I have read so many times where people keep saying that "all time is good for investment".
Personally, I disagree with that statement, and I believe when you look at it from my prism you will also agree with me.
Take a look at this scenario and judge for yourself.
Mr March is a newbie in cryptosphere and he has $2000 he would want to invest in Cryptocurrency.
He also plan using the $2000 to sort out some financial needs in a months time.
After going through his friends suggestion regarding the coin he should invest on.....he went for April coin.
On checking the market price of April coin, it was discovered that the price is at it's all time high.
The coin was $3 before but $10 now.
Considering he only want to do a month investment.
Will it then be wise to ask him to buy the coin at the present price or wait for the price to fall ?
Do you still believe that all time is good for investment?

Of course investing at the appropriate time is better than just jumping into the market because the money is available. As far as cryptocurrency is concern, if you enter at ATH, you might hit a retracement that you might be surprise will change the direction of the market against you. Take for example with bitcoin, people bought at ATH in December 2017/early January 2018 with the expectation for further high highs but market crashed. Hence, for those people who invested then, it was a wrong timing and so, they are either holding with losses or have sold with outright loss.

What coin is it? Depending on what coin is that. Sometimes there's a pump in price when there is a new investor coming in, then after a few weeks or months, it will be a dump.


You can invest in cryptocurrency anytime you want, you just need to read or consult other people before buying the coin.

What you really are asking here is how to make quick profit with something that is highly volatile, and my answer would be to not invest in this way, especially if you are a beginner and you do not understand how the market works. It is not true that any time is good for investment, why would you invest in something which is reached a very high price? It is true that unlike the market it is a good time to invest if the user interest is for long term profiting. Even if the plan is for short term profiting the user should be knowledgeable in cryptocurrency trading. Only with that it is possible to get back a profit unlike the market through the volatility of the cryptocurrencies.

Because the quote "The Best Time To Invest Was Yesterday, The Second Best Time Is Today" is more specifically for long term investments, not short term investments. Of course this doesn't apply to one month long investments. When talking about long term though, it makes complete sense if you're planning on holding for a long long time, and of course if you're long term bullish.

And also, it doesn't apply to everything. It also depends on what coin or what investment in general that you're planning on putting your money in.

The scenario you just laid out is for short term outlook only. Of course the first lesson is invest what you can afford to lose so that you won't be bothered by the price fluctuations and definitely go for the long haul. Nothing beats a good long term holder specially in you wanted to enter the market specially Bitcoin. If you wanted to do short then go for altcoins, as @Lucius has pointed out and you can make a good profit if you catch those altcoins who is about to get pump.

A wise investor will always look for the best time to lay down his money...and this is where successful investors have really talent with as they can feel when is the best time to say YES and of course to say NO. I don't believe anytime is the best time as the marketplace can sometimes be unforgiving with many unplanned actions. In my view, education is always the best key here. Newbie investors should seek the right knowledge before jumping into anything...of course there can sometimes be success out of just luck but those are not guarantee can also happen to anybody out there.

When you are in a volatile market any of your choice is risky and in other to survive in the game of investment you must be ready to take risks some risk pay and some don't, what is the assurance that if you by the April  coin at $3  the price will rise. This and many more questions you need to ask before considering to invest.

But market has not only April coin,there are several thousand of cryptocurrency in this market and also there are tokens in which considerable as another source of investing material...so the word “invest anytime you wanted”referred to the general term and not for specific coin

It is not good to invest your all money in crypto. It is not good also invest your all money any other thing. People has to share their risk to different investment tools. For example. %30 for gold, %30 for crypto and %40 for exchange and stock. (It is optional, you can create your basket in different stakes)

Anytime is ok to invest your money as long as you are ready with the risk. There is no guarantee of profit for investment of crypto so you should be very wise to choose which coin to invest. You should do researches then decide when is the right time and the right coin to invest. Do not rely on other's suggestion, it is your money not theirs.

Listen mate, there is no time perfect in order to invest.
The only thing that works with investment amd trading is to have presence of mind.
Before investing in a particular coin just look to it's growth for one or two week. Then decide to invest on the coin according to your budget.
Remember you can face loss also. So be prepared for that accordingly.
If you want to face minimal loss also want to get minimum profit then i would suggest you to invest in stable coins as they are best for the mentioned work.

I think there are have been times that will be good and bad to invest. Before you conduct your investment try to look if the market is in good condition because it will help you to avoid losing money and to earn huge income.

Yes! Anytime is ok to invest because they said investment is good for long term trend so whether you buy at a higher price or a cheaper one you will still earn profit because investment usually good for 1-3yrs time frame. Its good to have some knowledge about the market so you can find cheap coins with big potentials to make a new peak, just be ready for the risk.

The phrase remains true. The problem with your example is that he didn't invest wisely.
Same with people who invest in bitcoin when it was at ATH. They are screaming "why didn't I invest in bitcoin when it was at a lower value?!" yet when the price is low now we don't see: "I bought bitcoins now!".

There is no specific time for you to invest, you can do this anytime as long as you’re ready. The market is just here waiting for you to come in, in cryptomarket you have 24/7 time to think whether to invest or not. The price may be expensive for now but if you do buy more for sure it will be big in the future.

There is a reason why the big investors say that all time if good for an investment. First of all, I have never seen anybody making this statement with respect to an altcoin.
Everybody makes this statement only if the coin of investment is bitcoin. The reason behind it is that we, the bitcoiners, believe in it's technology and invest in it.
We believe that the investment will return us good profits because the technology behind bitcoin will last for a long time and hence bitcoin will stay for a long run.

Firstly, the words all time are good for investment in crypto currency is a tricky statement and only the smart one can understand because the statement was actually used to explain the logical growth or movement in price of crypto market. This is why I say sometime crypto trading is not meant for everybody and I believed this was also the reason why one of the smart crypto investor and enthusiast said "crypto are made for machine not human".
With that been said, every time are good for crypto investment for this is not applicable for everybody except the experience and smart traders.

If your hypothetical person is looking for a return within one month then that very definitely is not what I'd call investment. That's trading or gambling. That requires a completely different strategy, mind set and approach compared to someone who's looking several years ahead.

If you believe that btc price will again grows considerably, and even much more than before, let's say $ 100 000 or more than it's still very cheap to buy bitcoin now :)
Of course, if you are not so confident in such scenario than wait that btc price drop and than buy cheap and sell high.

Yes the time depends on the person and the kind of amount that is going to allocate by the investor but it doesn't mean that any time can provide you huge profits because market condition in a particular time can decide the profit margin level depending on a bearish trend or a bull run and also the price of a currency so smart investors can definitely make profits in any time but the margin can vary

Not necessarily. While definitely not the best idea, there's nothing wrong with buying in at an all time high. If you're planning on holding for years or decades and if you're expecting BTC to reach 6 digit dollar numbers anyway, then the few thousand dollars only has a small(though still significant) effect to your potential profits. People have bought on all time highs before in the lower hundreds in the past, but they're still in a great position right now. It just really depends on how long you're planning on actually holding.

I will invest my money in cryptocurrencies if the market will be in a great condition where all tokens are in high price.

The way I understand it, your post is not an example of "all the time" but "ANY time". Investing all the time is putting money on your investment on a regular basis. This will counter the fluctuation on its value. In this way, you will always get the best price.

In your example, the person just invested one time on the coin and thrown a hail mary that the price will rise. The person does not even have a personal understanding of his investment because he relied on his friend's suggestions. This just shows that he has a poor understanding of investing and should have probably have invested in educating himself first.

Investing any time is still the best but it matters the project one is investing in. If one invests in a good project, even though the price drops because of the bearish market, it will definitely rise back on a long time. Although in a bad market situation, it's better to either invest in bitcoin or a good relatively stable coin that is not readily affected by the market volatility to mitigate heavy losses. 

Needs to learned how to handle things just in case your position didn't work well, people needs to remember that timing is the best companion around this market, knowing when to place your position and when to close it out, the moment that you already understand this things the better for your investment journey, there's  time frame as long as you have nerved to take the risk.

In this price range that is holding steady, I personally believe that at any time is the ideal to buy. And that's what I'm doing. Unfortunately, regarding to Bitcoin, I do not think there is any major technological advance in the short term. We can only await acceptance and greater use by society.

On the scenario that you've given, I don't think that everyone on their sane mind would even consider buying into a coin that's already reached its peak, especially in a sphere wherein most coins are being pumped and dumped on the regular. Even if March wanted to hold the coins only for a month, during that time the top may have already blown itself off and instead of profits, March may not see profits but rather chase losses in the end.

I strongly agree with your opinion, investing one coin on the market is something that must be considered first. the most important thing is to be able to observe graphics / analytics in the future so as not to get caught up in losses.

That depends on the coin and the coin you have given as an example is total not a familiar one. I wouldn't invest to those kind of coins and your money is at the highest risk if you will depend with those kind of coins. The usual strategy that everyone does is to wait for the lowest price before buying, buy low, sell high.

It is not always necessary to invest immediately , I would advise to be out of the market, now the market can show a bearish trend , I think you need to carefully choose the entry point especially in bitcoin

Yes the right timing is also the key.
But that is one problem with crypto currencies. You just dont know when it will rise or when it will fall and that is also why they are telling you that every time is a wise time to buy.

Look, does he know that the certain example of token you mentioned will grow to $10? No!, he just saw it at present time.

I invest in cryptocurrency assets whenever I have extra funds. I believe very much in this new sphere of the world economy!

The basic rule when it comes to any financial investment is that you cannot set a time period to cash out, it must depend upon the market situation and nothing else if you are looking for a profit, for every investment the price is an important factor and never invest when the price is at an all time high valuation, invest when the market is low in any financial market and wait for the long hold.

If we say that 10$ is a final price - then yes, investment failed. But in the case of bitcoin we can't know how the price is going to develop and maybe 10$ in not the end and in few time good times will come and the investor will take his profit.

Your point is clear and well understood but what if the price of the coin doubles from $10 to $20. How do you know the $10 is the highest point the coin price will grow to. There was a time Bitcoin price grew to $10 also and people felt that was the height but we saw it grow far beyond that. In crypto world anything can happen at anytime. I have seen a coin rise from 5 cent to 40cent then dropped to 1cent and two weeks later blew to 90 cent. I don't think it is failed because you can invest in altcoin which has a low price so you can get much amount and then hold it for a long time. The low price coins you should buy is the coins that have the potential to increase in a long time, and I am sure you can find those coin. But if you decide to invest in bitcoin for $10, then you don't make a big profit unless bitcoin price can increase more than $100,000 in the future. But I guess bitcoin price can get high in a long time.

Good times to make invest is when that asset oversold, and there are alot of different asset to choose like crypto, stocks, forex, gold etc. And each this asset has different price action and different trend, currently all crypto already oversold so its times good to invest in to it, but later when crypto overbought we can make invest in others asset like stocks, gold, ETF etc.

I'm not familiar with April coin, but investing in general is good at any time.
My understanding is that we are still in the early stage so everyone of us now are still early investors, with this technology that has a huge potential and if successfully adopted, it will bring more money to investors. The law of supply and demand is vital and adoption is a good thing for our investment.

All I can say is that it's never late to invest, so invest wisely.

I believe instead of investing fully at any time, why wouldn't someone figure out the best way to invest ? The diluted version.
You just buy bitcoin (or any coin you prefer) monthly instead of at once ? That way you can always have bitcoin at best prices and you DCA will always be closer to what it is right now.

Do not change how much you pay unless your saving chances, for example if you invest 100 dollars a month don't make it a 1000 dollars all of a sudden, keep at 100 dollars and put that 900 aside and you can invest 9 more months. That is what I have always done and it has worked perfectly for the 2018, I could have lost so much money if I invested all at once but I do not do it. Of course I had the opportunity of cashing out during $20k so I am a bit luckier than most people.

TThat's happen to the trader last 2017 because they invested to the crypto when the value is very high. But we cannot blame them because even the price is high it is possible for the value to become higher and they will still get more profit if that happen but it will not happen because after the value of the cryptocoins increased almost 1 year they decreased also almost 1 year too and this year is good year for everycoins because they have chance to increase.

Yes in the first place you will not understand why they're all saying all the time is good to invest. Because it depends actually on the circumstance which is for example if you can afford the price and you saw that the coin has a potential then it's normal ppl will say invest all the time which no need to ask if you're really  sure there's a future on it.  Especially if the price is very cheap which a big opportunity so no need to ask and invest what amount you can afford to lose every time that what others want to point out IMO. Which not convincing others to put into risk situation.

It depends on what coin it is. Sometimes, its better if you read and do some research before investing on a certain coin. In this case, I don't think that I will invest in that coin because it went up already. There are so many coins to invest on and there are better and cheaper coins to invest on. Don't focus on one coin only.

All time is not good for investing!  It is not all season one plant a seed and harvest.  Remember that trading and investment has a face and you have to follow the face in other to be able to invest right.  If investing is your desires you most invest knowing the accumulation and distribution faces of the investments cycles.  You can only invest and make profits when the assets is at the lowest price and sell when it is at the high price.

It is very big misconception for those who think that we have to use the price of a coin to judge its achievement or usefulness, are we really expecting a coin price to keep growing till it become uncountable, they should please make me understand, so the coin should keep growing from $10 to 100 to 1000, to 1 million, to billion and then to trillion for one. For God sake, the coin was created for payment and not only investment, the ratio between buy and sell is what will determine the price of the coin, do we expect people to just keep buying and holding the coin without even making use of it for payment.

I believe that  one cannot be that stupid enough too to just jump into the market without studying the market, when it is written all over that the best time to invest in a coin is when it has bottom, although it doesn’t necessarily mean that it has to be when a coin bottom alone, it could be along the line too provided it has not reached all-time high price, because if we are to advise investment for only bottom price, a lot of investor will stop coming in till they witness another bottom once the current one passes which might slow down the growth in marketcap but I will still say ironically that all time is best provided the coin is not at its high price then.

Yeah, i agree there is no certain time to invest and so you can invest anytime there are circumstances that investment should be done after a long research and market study. There are just season for investment on cryptocurrency because of volatility and trend, just look at bitcoin it does not move everytime but it will anytime.

I think the statement is useless for now, this year and even for the next few years, some people have begun to think realistically about what actually happened in cryptocurrency so that everything even a kind of investment will also be a difficult thing.

Yeah this its was really funny, because a lot people saying in bear or bullish told to us to BUY BUY & BUY Cryptocurrency whent the trend bullish or bearish. And after we the investment got some significant lose they bully us. Really hate about these.

that's the same thought when the price of bitcoin dropped from $ 10,000 to $ 6,000, many people say $ 6000 is very cheap and good for entry. but in fact, the price actually goes down.

People who are telling you that any time to buy an altcoin is good are wrong but it's a different case with bitcoin. I really think that every moment is good to buy bitcoin with a small exception of short living bubbles.

There's maybe 2 months every time when you shouldn't buy and with Bitcoin it was that run from 10000 to 20000 and not because it will never go there and leave you at a loss but because you will have to wait 4 or 5 years for it.

No one can able to find out if the price already reached its ATH and if you can able to risk it out the buy while its being pumped then the decision is yours but
remember that everytime theres a price increase there would always be a corresponding correction and if you are wise then better to enter with those opportunities
or shall we say just wait for pullback for best entries and make shorts rather than waiting for big swings.

We are old enough to think what is right and wrong, maybe you are in the wrong timing in buying  and so you'll just end up into losing. In most cases that people will buy coins during the bull runs which is not good to start as possible price drop will happen next and will probably be losing if that happen. So it is the best time to start during bear season and wait for market to rise and to make profit.

All the investors are concentrate in good growing cryptocurrency so all are buying the positive uptrend cryptocurrency. But no one is thinking the next day result so they loose the investment in sometimes. I know it is not a gambling so it will move forward in next bull run and all are hold the investment in future journey.

You can invest anytime as long as you have the funds. You'll gain profit eventually, only if you have patience. You just need to understand how the price works. For me the best time to buy is during at fall. Take advantage of it while others are still in panic and selling at a cheaper price.

But the best time we can invest is when everything is on the lower price so we can take the advantages to get many coins at a low price. And now, we see the best time to buy many coins while the price is the low price but if we realize, the very low price was happening in the last year, and perhaps, some of us could use that time to buy all profitable coins.

That is why we don't need to spend all of the balance we have because we could see a moment when the price is fallen deep like what we see now. But right now, I think we are a bit too late to buy at a very low price because many coins have already started to increase, but I guess, you still have time to select the other profitable coins because they are not already increasing.

Just be careful when you choose one or two coins, you need to watch closer and analyze deeper so you can buy at the low price so you won't have to worry if the price still getting down.

I think your thinking is too backward because most of the value of all the coins depends very much on the need to invest in this market. Each year the value of the coin may increase or decrease differently and there is no exact time for this. I personally rely solely on analysis and evaluation to determine the target to sell. It may be wrong but it will make me avoid a lot of risks

We can certainly do investment with crypto at anytime but the best and big chances that we all making profits when the market were down as it eventually rise back in few day after. We should be wise in here cause we don't know when that happen and we should have to be in the right timing and to make it right.

I believe it's easy to choose the coin to invest as there's information they provide and at the same time we can see the feedback of the people regarding the coin, what's more important IMO is the timing, because if the market now is in bull period and price is pumping, then you invested, surely you will loss because it will correct.

The right time to invest is when the market is bearish as you can find good coins which are undervalued at that time.
2018 last year was mostly bullish period, you can invest that time and wait for the market to recover this year.

I think, for an investor, there should be factors that should delineate when to invest. For some, here are there considerations: (1) The status of the coin that is being invested upon. Is it gaining, is it falling, or is it beginning to gain? Those the questions that some consider as guidelines. For me, I usually consider those coins that are beginning to gain because I don't intend to wait too long before I can cash out on my investments. I tend to buy those that are beginning to show good sings of increase so that after a couple of weeks or a few months, I can get the most bang for my buck. (2) The amount of money you're willing to use to invest. Some people tend to jump the gun on this aspect because the common idea in this market is that we should buy as much as we can when the coin value is at its lowest; however, some people forget the fact that it's not a surefire hit if one coin has decreased in value, especially the question of when it will regain what it lost. Some coins don't recuperate from it, and thus, you will be left with a lot of lost asset as an investor.

If we look at the statement in the long term perspective, I think it is right. In the long term, the value of Bitcoin would be way too high and it would have spread around the world with huge businesses evolved around it. I think there's no time frame in investing on crypto in general, any time you can invest that you can afford to wait either longer time and take note that only invest if you have spare money aside from your daily budget. From the time you've purchased crypto then you can wait when it will grow up and have a target of profit that you wanted. When your profit was there then that's the time you can cut it off or reinvest gain to double your profit.

We are already well above $5650 in the market right not and it is rising with great speed.
