Title: Fusion Silicon X2 - Info and discussion post
Post by: bittawm on March 26, 2019, 03:43:45 AM
Minable coins:
myriad groestl :xvg dgb
Blake2s: xvg
keccak: smart

myriad groestl :300ghs
keccak: 75 ghs
Blake2s: 1.2 ths

It mine all 3 algorithms at once (simultaneously)

Power : 980W

Currently this is one of the most profitable miners

It also has relatively low power consumption

We have heard of dual mining before but not 3fold Mining

Please PM me or look at my other threads if you want to purchase one

Do the maths on how many of these the network can support.

I've seen short clips of the X2 on sites that sell them: but no end-users have one yet to report in?

A friend of mine on discord received a few of them and has been mining with them for almost a week

Sounds very interesting. I have no idea how it goes with this miner. Can you run just 1 algo and what's the performance when the 3 algos run simultaneously vs when the full power goes to just 1 algo?

Also can you share the price publicly?

yes you can choose to mine 1, 2 or 3 algos and from what I understand you can turn off unprofitable algos and just mine on other ones

Very interesting

Price is $3600 shipped in Bittawm's group buy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5121740.new#new

I'm down for 1. We need 5 more.

Anyway as far as I know it's 950w no matter what settings you put in, and you have to mine 3 algos, can't just do 1 or 2, although if you didn't care about 1 or 2 of the algos you could use default pool info lol. My friend said his are making $50 a day (He even said $60 with the right coins/pools).

I already ordered 1 for $3800 shipped at hyperbitshop.io but hasn't shipped yet, they said 7-10 business days.. they were also available at akminer.com (they might be back in stock again now) for $4k

Thanks for the info on price. Considering the price and the current (potential) profit, I'd say it is a very good buy.

I just asked my friend that has a couple in his hands and is mining about this for confirmation.. will update when answered

EDIT: He said "no but, there are 3 boards.so maybe each one is dedicated to one algo. SO maybe disconnecting one board will do the trick"

So it's not certain but seems unlikely, but he also said each algo is plenty profitable, so no reason to shut them down for now (if you could)

Minable coins:
xvg, dgb (myriad groestl) :300 ghs
smart (keccak): 75 ghs
xvg (Blake2s): 1.2 ths

So quick research on the network hash rates for these algorithms in case anyone was curious like I was on this; also was curious how many they are producing total. Or are they like Bitmain and don't disclose this? Here below is current global hash rates and percent of that this order for 10 asics would be

10 asics would yield at current hashrate:

3 TH/s on XVG  (myriad groestl)
Global hashrate: 39 TH/s
~8% of global hash rate
One asic: $31/day

and 3 TH/s DGB (myriad groestl)
Global hashrate: 175 TH/s
~2% of global hash rate
One asic:$23

0.750 TH/s on Smart (keccak)
Global Hashrate: 14.75 TH/s
~5% of global hash rate
One asic: $3.85/day

12 TH/s on XVG (Blake2s)
Global Hashrate: 818.44 TH/s
~1.5% of global hash rate
One asic: $5.40

bullshi*.
some kind of constant hashrate for 2 weeks. not WAY up. maybe 10-20%. hashrate fluctates

I'm hoping that since X2's were a limited-distribution: that everyone who ordered one now has it online. So maybe difficulties will level out? Not like the kick-in-the-pants the equihash pools will soon be taking...

yep i think the same. as long as fusion doesnt sell more batches..but i doubt it. but they are not flooding the market, thats very nice from them

Either Fusion is self-mining with X2s or Baikal has new miner (successor to G28) which they are testing/self-mining.

Either way, not good.

As a data point: when I have all 3 algos hashing I see 1320w at-the-wall through a Bitmain APW3++ on 120v. I don't know where they got 980w from. Can someone else with a killawatt chime in?

Is anyone having their miner drop from 300ghs to 200ghs?

Also anyone OC? What versions do you guys have? There is version 3 models and version 4 (3 can't be upgraded to 4) Mine is 3.10 and it's having stability problems

Yep, mine was stuck at 200ghs for like 2 days. Actually, all 3 was having low hash and started at the same time.
Been good for a few days now.

Can you check what version you have in the system page? Mine is 3.10 and has this 200ghs problem, as does my friends with same version. There is a version 4 that is stable i heard but you can't upgrade 3 to 4

Mine is hosted too, both of ours are probably hosted by the same people as bittawms are hosted by, we all have the same 200ghs problem :/

Another friend of mine that had a dozen mining in his own farm, had versions 3 and 4, he said 3 is the best, especially 3.10.. he can overclock them. But our 3.10 is having this low hash problem so idk whats up. He has some v4 and he said if you upgrade to the new v4.18 firmware it fixes stability with the version 4 ones.. the 1300w problem is super odd.

I really hope we can fix this 200ghs low hash problem soon. Maybe we can try overclocking ours (assuming you have 3.10 too) or underclocking. Or we can try upgrading the version to 3.13 or 3.16

Try to run myrgro on miningpoolhub, smooth 300ghs and no up/down, 0 rejects as smooth as it can be.

The problem with this miner and I hope they fix that soon is the stratum protocol is not 100%, miners submits a lot of old shares to the pool after deliberation with mining-dutch, he fixed his pool for us X2 users.

So, it's a combination of miner/pool, or incompatibility of the combo.

Note: When myrgo runs smooth on MPH, the rest of the algo's follow suit becoming as smooth or less rejects over time.

Also, I talked to fusion directly via WEchat and they said there will be 2 batches coming, i assume 1000 each, all of these are without CE or UL certs, there is no handbook but come with 6 mos. warranty. MOQ10 22000RBM, shipping is on you, also how to declare them since they have no certs, also probably the reason why they dont offer them on their website or anywhere visible.

Hmm,

I would like to have NLpool.NL to have a piece of that cake with all those nice high hashrate miners.  :o  ;D ;D

We already have Smartcash and Maxcoin in our pool for over a year with the Keccak algo and we have the Blake2S coins like XVG / XSH and Neva. ... the other coins are to small for Blake2s.
Tonight i will add some extra coins for the MYR-Gr algo .... so that we have the complete set for you guys to mine.

For the first 50 miners i can offer you a 4% weekly bonus over the total you have mined on our pool for the month May. To participate please contact me at Discord or Telegram and send me your wallet address so i can do the payments.

Cheers!
