This is freaking huge in my book.

That looks very handy.

I tried using the offline transaction generator. Two things--  It doesn't seem to work in IE (but does in Firefox), and it doesn't seem to work when you add a transaction fee (but does if you leave it at 0).

What version if IE were you using? The bitcoinJS library that strongcoin uses does not work in IE7.

IE9 on Win7.

Using windows 7 you should specify 32 or 64 bit, also which bit depth browser you are using as both are included.

64 bit.

The problem with it not working when adding a tx fee seems to affect all browsers.

It would be awesome if you could build a transaction from more than one private key (to be able to send the sum of the BTC value of all).

It'd be awesome if this tool still worked.

Has everyone migrated to another method of signing offline transactions?

I believe the tool is not needed anymore as there should be built in methods in most wallets for this now.

The biggest issue with this way of signing is that you still rely on a physical connection between your online and offline computer, the USB stick. If malware finds its way on there, your system may become compromised.

Best to use a hardware wallet which handles the signing and only does sending and does not allow anything to be loaded on the device.

I just missed meeting up with the OP a couple years ago while in LV for the conference at the MGM. I did grace Smoothie with my presence though. I think he was jealous of my pink tutu.

This thread is really old. There are more recent threads on the topic.

You can look into Electrum or Armory as a way to aid your offline transaction needs.

I may be old fashioned, but depending on Electrum or Armory (Armory now offline), which in turn have a bunch of other dependencies, is not a solution to such a simple problem.  Problem being a way to prepare a transaction and then sign offline.

I understand the point about hardware wallets, but in my case I prefer to use an offline Raspberry Pi machine.  I am looking for a lightweight solution to signing offline, such as this, but there's nothing I can find.  This should be an easier problem.
