Title: Eclair on mainnet
Post by: OmegaStarScream on March 29, 2019, 10:50:37 AM
Eclair now enabled receiving payments over lightning on the main net. Just saw the tweet  (https://twitter.com/acinq_co/status/1111322747169357824)so I thought about sharing.

Among the different wallets that I've seen, Eclair seems to be the best and the one with the most active development. Which other wallets would you suggest?

This is interesting to see I do have éclair on my phone.

The only other good one is bitcoin lightning network but if éclair has enabled receiving payments and doesn't impse any sort if limit then that's probably now the best...

If you want to trade a sat as a test lmk ;D.

Bitcoin Lightning Wallet (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lightning.walletapp&hl=en) used to be recommended a lot because it was possible to receive Lightning Network payments in it since it has been released. I wouldn't recommend it right now because Eclair is much better alternative (better UI, free backup of channels to Google Drive). You might find Olympus server (https://lightning-wallet.com/what-does-olympus-server-do#what-does-olympus-server-do) interesting but it's a paid feature.

For beginners and those who have not used the lightning network, I prefer using Blue Wallet.  Although centralized in that wallet but LN payments often for small amounts.
As for the experience of lightning, the best is [Bitcoin Lightning Wallet.]
I have a bad experience with Eclair but maybe the problem is my device.
