Title: The blockchain as a global DNS to all data?
Post by: keiha on April 02, 2019, 09:55:39 AM
Put the name on the blockchain to locate the originating IP address.  The server at that IP would be queried for supporting protocols (http, etc.)

Perhaps the blockchain data could be formatted:
DNS://yourdomainname

Yes, but this would be on BTC's blockchain.

Also... this is more than http.  It's data.  You could register a database.

How would that be more useful than the current, distributed DNS? We outgrew hosts files 30+ years ago.
