I'm not a miner so I can't give that much additional info and an opinion about the factors for the incoming bitmain miners. But with PayPal making its first investment on blockchain. This made me wowed! I can't think of it that they are into it, a well known payment processor is starting to get into the technology behind cryptocurrencies that's solely created to be an alternative payment option with their business. Due to longest bearish in crypto market now we all observe the little movement too, as 5000$ was lowest value  if look in previous years start so the recovery is good sign and hope it will now continue as many many good news are coming.

Bitcoin $5000 is soon, in less than two days Bitcoin provides benefits to its investors. this is the thing we've been waiting for, it's been a long time since the decline here, now it's time to change the trend.

More mines join in the bitcoin network means the difficulty of bitcoin will increase and that will create a strict competition between every miners. that makes the price of bitcoin will increase because to mine bitcoin will be so difficult.

Finally, what we all expected for occured.
Bitcoin successfully broke the strong resistance at $4200, that kept it stucked for months.
Now, the next strong resistance of bitcoin stays at $6000, it might keep bitcoin stucked for coming months.
Who knows how bitcoin move next and how long will it take for bitcoin to break that next resistance?
Bitcoin might break it within weeks, or within months, or till the end of 2019. Let's see, and simply enjoy the recent break of bitcoin, that brought happiness not only for investors, but also for miners because they get more money for their confirmations on bitcoin network.

It's a great thing to see that bitcoin and the whole crypto is keep surging even after 1 day. I wish the bulls will keep running.

Well actually I'm less worried about bitcoin price lately ,with the news surrounding cryptocurrency world everyday things can't go wrong for cryptocurrency and many investors are joining so adoption rate will grow ,even if price keeps surging now Im expecting more when the halving season arrives

rumors of Paypal integrating bitcoin payments have circulated for years, but the company has never really gone the whole way with cryptocurrency. until today it's really happen, hope for the good news bring more company investing in blockchain.

Bitcoin Network hashrate didn't grew, in fact it is lower than in March.

I have no experience in mining so I can add little information to this, but the recent rise in the bitcoin market is a great news considering the fact that the bearish market have lasted for a very long period of time. Seeing bitcoin increasing to $5000 shows that new investors are now beginning to look in bitcoin direction and PayPal first investment is another good news.

I'm a miner but not a bitcoin miner, i mining only LTC and DGB for now, but if price continue grow will be profitable for me, because now if i sell and pay electricity i'm in a loss. I will need something that bitcoin to go up over 7000,8000$ and altcoins to keep or grow in price for bitcoin pair to be profitable.

The bitcoin price surging is something would happened, to see the adoptions in various sectors. The latest news I heard that SEC has approved Bitcoin ETFs. This should lead a market boost.

First time I read Paypal is now investing in blockchain, I think this is the big factor that made Bitcoin to move higher, now I believe we are moving in the bull run, Paypal is such a huge company, and they have so many users, they all can be converted to believing the power of cryptocurrency.

Does it mean that those miners who temporarily shutdown their gear during the bear market because it's not profitable to mine anymore suddenly woke up and mine bitcoin again?

I think the surge is due to a whales suddenly pouring huge capital in the millions and pushed the price to +$1k in the last 2 days or so.

And it's not stopping, the run had just started, and I do hope that those 'new miners' will have a significant impact to the hash rate so that more and more people will FOMO again. And it will also affected the altcoin market as obviously, all trading pairs are based on BTC.

If I may get you right, you mean paypal too has already adopted the use of blockchain technology for their payment system? If this is real, I can bet that the whole cryptocurrency idea is just about to boom, do you know how many users of paypal we have, imagine all of the getting introduced to cryptocurrency, there will really be a boom.

I have always expected something extra ordinary to happen in the cryptocurrency space this year, more are coming to join the list, now we have these projects like Facebook, twitter, visa, Samsung already on board or coming on board, and now this great news of PayPal which I am yet to confirm myself.

Well my point of view has changed after I heard that the surge happened due to a whale buying 20,000 pieces of bitcoin and that cost around 100 million dollars so what I think we need right now is more adoption ,its as simple as that ,ADOPTION!

Paypal investing in blockchain, it's totally new for me. I think that's a good initiative for crypto market. Regarding the surge, I don't think it will last an long. Soon there will be a correction and btc will be back to $4.5k-$4.7k resistanc.

Ohhh, that's informative. More miners, means tougher competition, higher demand and higher price.

I don't think we have to be surprised because we are seeing an increase in the price of bitcoin because this is the prediction I have been making since the beginning of the year, and I saw a lot of persons in this forum making same prediction. This is just a tip of the iceberg because we haven't begin the see the major bull run in the price of crypto which will begin to happen in the next few months, my guess is that it would happen in the third and fourth quarter of this year.

There are lots of reasons are being indicated for this rally and the one which seemed somewhat reliable is , a secret buyer who bought bitcoins for $100 millions and due to arbitrage trading prices are reflecting to all other exchanges which led up to $5400 in few exchanges. I guess the major resistances around $5k was tested and hence it may get passed easily in coming days with the rally toward $7k levels.

Chartist are excited pulling the bulls out of the woods. Bitcoin crossed an important level which has many believing a change in sentiment is in order.
