Title: Provenance.im - Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator Scam
Post by: margana on April 02, 2019, 11:05:35 PM
https://provenance.im/ (https://provenance.im/) is a Bitcoin transaction accelerator scam.  They just steal your money, there is no support.  The "trusted business" badges and links are fake.

One of the associated addresses is: 18z24LMedkAV4dXSYHfy7YG9HW6UXQmfME

Where else can this be reported?

The stat widgets show it has over 1000 current online visitors but checking the alexa ranking it shows it has a very low traffic rank
https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/provenance.im#trafficstats  9,071,681, it could mean two things, the site is new or they are faking their widget
so they can entice new visitors that they are very popular.

-snip-

They are not mining so they don't have any way to confirm it themselves for you. They rely on the free bitcoin transaction accelerator which does the work for them and they just happen to take advantage of it from those who doesn't knows about it.

It was also a problem earlier when there was a high amount of unconfirmed transactions in mempool and IIRC someone reputed came up forward and maintained a list of free bitcoin transaction accelerators so that people knows about it and avoid using any individual to do the acceleration.
