Is Elixxir something that could compete with Zcash? saw this thread on r/zec reddit and want to know everyone's thoughts

zcash is a strong privacy-based coin, of course, this will attract higher investor purchasing power because it has dependable potential for protection, I think zcash will not be rivaled by Elixxir.io

A new excitement for Elixxir market. And I think it's a very good project. But it's a little early to compete with Zcash.

I am really excited to see all these privacy coins and platforms start to roll out. Curious how it is going to play out with kyc and aml in particular if the government happens to get involved. Will there ever be privacy interoperability? If so I think zcash and elixxir would benefit from each other

It all depends on the kind of hype this project is actually going to create, because zcash is a coin that has already gained popularity and might be difficult to dethrone, though I didn't say it's not possible because I am very sure that anything is possible in the crypto space.

Hence, let's watch out and see what happens in the market in the nearest future, though I think zcash is still a very good project to hold because it will definitely be affected by the bull run coming to the crypto space in few months time.

Anonymity in cryptocurrencies is a very important part of this whole cryptocurrency world. The thing is that today many people understand that BTC and other coins have pseudo anonymity. We need really anonymous coins.

It still too far away for Elixxir to compete with Zcash because they are in 1140 according to CMC, but it could happen in the future if the teams of Elixxir could still support the project. We know that Zcash still have potential to increase higher and that happens too with Elixxir, but I don't think that Elixxir will be the next coins that have the potential to compete with Zcash.

I think that this project will be able to take away part of the audience from Zcash, but it will definitely not be able to bypass this coin.

Elixir can be established themselves as a good privacy coin but it will be hard to compete in the market, and competition with zcash isn't possible. There's already XMR, Zcash, ONION which have enabled more private transactions. ONION can be the competitor of XMR and Zcash once they enable DeepSend. I don't think any other privacy coin will be there to compete.

It seems to me that in this market, in addition to technology, investors decide what can compete. If investors decide to invest their money in another project, then that will be a new favorite. Do not compare the coins and chasing the subject who is better or worse.
