Title: Reputable user looking for $300k loan in btc
Post by: Tiramani on April 04, 2019, 06:40:31 AM
Thanks for your help, the loan has been filled!

Hi all!

My name is Tiramani. I have operated one of the most successful and trusted  OTC trader profiles on localbitcoins.com for the past 5 years. https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/TIRAMANI_BLICS_LLC_INSTANT_BTC/

At the moment we are expanding both our crypto business and other businesses so we are re allocating our funds and need more operating capital.

My offer-

We are seeking $300,000 loan and paying a  10%  yearly interest rate. Would prefer crypto loan pegged to USD but can be flexible on this and other terms depending on what you need.

If you are interested please reach out to me via the contact info listed on my localbitcoins profile.

You claim to be a a "reputable" user from LBC, however LBC accounts are traded here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5118923.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5110138.0

I found the above after a 30 second search. There are probably more examples.

Further, I am not sure the LBC account you cite has a reputation in excess of the loan amount you are asking for. I am also unsure if a loan default would be able to sufficiently harm the reputation of your LBC account, and harm your ability to do business on LBC.

First of all, you're not a reputable user of this foum. Reputation in other forums / platforms have no value here.

Second, you don't provide any kind of collateral. You should read the stickies of this subboard first, especially this one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.0

If you completely ignore this sticky and make a loan request with no collateral, without having massive trust on the forum, the chances of you getting negative trusted feedback and therefore having a Trade with Extreme Caution tag is almost 100%.

Involving a reputable forum escrow to hold any collateral is mandatory.

Ok well I’m posting my real name so any lender can do their due diligence and understand that I’m really me and not a hacked account and they would be encouraged to come meet us in Las Vegas to understand our operation.

I think my rep as a real bitcoiner and business operator has more rep thank your bitcointalk account but I can let the lender be the judge of that.

Your sticky says collateral is not a rule and not required and that is why I posted my offer here.

Firstly isn't his sticky, is ours. Even if it's sounds a bit hard for your ears, we are a community.
Secondly, if you want to do any deals here, you will follow the proccedure as it described and not as you like to describe it.
Plus that your rep here (you ask here don't you?) is 0 so nobody will make business with a 0.

So you can offer a proper and valid collateral (according to our stickies) or if you don't have any (which i'm certain that you don't have) to lock this thread before your newbie account worth less than 0.

If one were to assume you are not a hacked/purchased LBC account (I am unsure if this is a good assumption), a potential lender would need to know what mechanisms they can pursue if you default. The most ideal mechanism would be the recovery of liquid collateral such as altcoins, however if that is not an option, then a lender may need to pursue obtaining a personal judgment (assuming you are taking the loan in your personal name), and would need to know what income/assets you have they could enforce a judgment against. If all of your income is derived from your business, a judgment may be more difficult to obtain.

In any case, I think the loan you are looking for is larger than most loans made around here. I believe there are a number of platforms that specialize in startup financing that would probably give you are better chance of getting the loan you are looking for funded.

Yes all good questions for a potential lender. Certainly the loan contract could be enforced in court to take my assets, which i am happy to discuss with the lender.

As for any other angry posters that are disgruntled because I won’t fit into your box, this post isn’t for you. If I wanted to use collateral for a loan I would get it from any of the low interest loan services like genesis trading etc, not on a forum.

I am looking to take advantage of my significant reputation and customers that have worked with me before and trusted me with much larger sums of money than this who are interested in sharing in the profits of my successful businesses.

With such high volumes of trade on Localbitcoins, I am sure you've made a good enough banking history to ask for a loan from a bank, use that money to buy BTC from any exchange you like, Coinbase seems the first choice.
Here it's mostly loans for small amounts, and even for such small amounts you need a valid collateral, which you're not offering here.

Then go and ask them - the customers that have worked with you before and trusted you with much larger sums of money.

Here you have 0 rep, so you won't get a loan without collateral. Why is it so hard for you to understand this?

I can get 13% per year lending USD on Bitfinex.

Why should I go with you?

That seems highly risky, I would recommend reading up on Bifiniex's problems before doing anything like that...
