Bitcoin and Altcoin Prices on the Upward Trend
In a move led by Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency market is seeing a lot of green across the board. This bullish run which saw the leading cryptocurrency break the $5,000 barrier for the first time since November 2018 may signify an end to the protracted downtrend that began after Bitcoin reached its all time high of almost $20,000 in January 2019. Not January 2019 but January 2018 because the last time bitcoin witness the highest bull run was in 2017 when bitcoin reached it highest price of $20000. The return of the green chart movement is an indication that the bear market is over and cryptocurrencies are now in it green days again.

basically it is the USD market alongside BTC market for altcoins that have both which is causing this mistake among people thinking the altcoins have also gone up but in fact they have been dumped. you can see it in this chart how they lost value:

This is positive news, but it remains to be seen whether Bitcoin can sit comfortably within the $5k to $6k range or will it go back down which it has been doing a lot in recent times. It could break into the $6k range too. Lets see what happens.

As I look into some charts altcoin are being dumped now and bitcoin is the only coin that is being pumped right now. Altcoin is being sold because traders are buying bitcoins. Altcoin to fiat then fiat to bitcoin.

Maybe $5000 will be the new lows.


I'm not surprised by this move. Smart investors knows how to really play in this market. They will just shift their funds around and go where the money is, that is Bitcoin. So slowly they are dumping their altcoins and aggressively change their positions quickly.

Dont think so, for that to happen we need spikes heading way over it or a steep rise towards it.
Lets wait how this will play out over more days/weeks and hope the positive sentiment will hold on.

that is only one of the possible things to happen otherwise we can see a lot of different scenarios. for the time being every hour that passes with price at this level, it is making it into a stronger bottom buy support which can not be broken anymore. and with all the new positivity that has come back to the market people are buying more bitcoin which is pushing the price even higher so the chances of dropping is decreasing fast.

Few investors are still not on the same page with us that it is a BULL RUN, mostly people that were affected during the ATH of ~$20,000 in December 17, 2017 and point of correction sir, it’s not 2019.

Majority are still locked in that investment and will see nothing green about the market until it breaks $10,000, but realistically, like you said, the market is already green and will continue till it reached its full capacity which for now, we cannot really determine the next ATH it will pick before falling back to the Bear market. So, for the rest of this year, the market will surely be a favorable one.

yes I've seen it on several web pages. I hope that it will continue to climb, this will be the beginning of a bitcoin revival and several altcoins

I'm always pessimistic with what is going to happen and  that anytime soon there will be a break to $6k and will soon go for $7K I guess its just taking time to allow new comers to decide whether they are going to enter into this market.  It about time to make people learn  about what is  coming, when they know opportunity  is there they  will  buy  BTC and even altcoins are also going to rise along with BTC.

Time will show.Most of the bitcoin is in accumulation. The whales is needed an new investments by funds from newbies an btc's holders.This is why we see a pumping the price of bitcoin after a long dump.Soon I think the price btc will start dump .

We're on the uptrend now and bitcoin fluctuated again from $4,900 to $5,100 and near to $5,200 again. It's still testing the waters before it goes through another higher price. The market has recovered for a while and has reached 1/4 of the all time high that we have been talking to. Still this is the right time to take bitcoin as many you can and while you can before it skyrockets, there's a FOMO but as long as you know your position and bet with long term, you don't have to be emotional.

This increase has been expected for a long time, and finally came. But how the next movements take direction should be discussed. Already, we are around $5000 a few days away, and new support will be better.

There is enough time for long term minded people to buy in. We still don't have a clear confirmation of a trend reversal, and as long as that isn't the case, it's not that bad of a decision to wait a little longer. In my book a confirmed trend reversal is when we firmly hover above the $6000 level. Serious people rather buy into something that has been going up steadily than something that technically is still quite bearish.

These very short term increases make get rich quick people so bullish, that a major red candle will shake them off their moon rocket. After that they will turn even more bearish than before the pump and potentially trigger them to unload their bags out of fear. A sub $4000 dump right now will be a brutal counter move.

after the market is bearish. whether the market will continue to run and jump because we know that many investors and traders still see the development of the price trend not completely turning to bitcoin, I don't think it's the best

We need to wait more time i think to see if price continue grow more or will stay at 5000$ range, but if someone decide to enter on crypto and put a lot of money on market then a bull run or a high price can be see soon.

Not all alts are on an upward trend. It's mainly bitcoin and ethereum. I'm still seeing s lot of red in the market though of course that's normal when people are converting their alts to btc. Litecoin, ripple, cardano, these coins i hold are currently on a downward trend along eith many other alts.

At the start of the bull market for bitcoin, we cannot expect that most altcoins will follow it's path.
I can noticed that only BCH did jumped hard of the high volume altcoins and it's not a bull market yet for alts as it should be more.
This uptrend market is good, people think that the bear market is over and they will not invest with ease, and hopefully it's not another trap again.

We can confirm that the cryptocurrency market is having a bullish run but we cannot yet confirm if BTC is on an upward reversal. Yes Bitcoin's influence on the market is still there but you can see some coins being left out when other cryptocurrencies are going up because they know that only selling this worthless slow moving coins is their only way to take advantage of the bull run right now, that has been always the case in the market when they see fast movers they will immediately replace their coins for it.

I think we need more firepower if we want to go back to all time high prices. This is a good increase and we are moving further and further away from the bottom price which is amazing news, we have been so close to bottom for so long that we got scared of what it could become however the only way to go back to all time high is to have a very further away bottom as well.

If we do not really focus on getting sellers remove their orders and increase the prices we are going to just stay here and that doesn't help anyone, bulls do not have the high prices they want and bears do not have the low prices they want, so basically this price right here doesn't help anyone out.

Bitcoin and altcoin prices needs to go up much more than this, I suggest if they all go 2x from here than we gonna have a big party once again.

If there is no large amount of money that enters the market very quickly the rise will not last very long. Even if we had a 30% increase during the last days. We could even face a new crash, at least I won't be surprised to be honest.
5000 dollars is now the psychological barrier not to fall below in order to continue to create positive sentiment in the market.

I do not see a global uptrend , I would call an uptrend when bitcoin will still be able to fix above 6000 , then I think there will be a bullish trend , and now I think there is still a chance that we can fall below 3000 !

Some positive dynamics is better than nine, but I agree with others that it's too early to say that Bitcoin is truly moving towards the run for ATH yet. It might be a temporary thing followed by new period of bleeding. When the price started growing, we could see a spike in trading volume. It's been gradually going down now. It's good if the price at least stabilises around $5k for now.

I am not pessimistic about Bitcoin, and for me it has long been clear that the bearish period is over. I realized this at the end of November last year, and of course, now that the price of Bitcoin exceeded 5,000, there were few doubts that the trend had finally changed. Now even the most hardened pessimists were convinced that the time had come for the bulls.

Indeed, today many coins have increased and this crypto's view seems to be fresher and the crypto lover is optimistic. This market movement makes many analysts move to give their opinions and certainly great expectations are always there.

Yeah if you compare to the past some months, then you can surely see some upward growth of many altcoins.
Often people make mistakes in choosing the right time to invest in a particular coin for which they make huge losses also.
But thank to the ones for whom the prices have gone up now and now is in  a reputable conditions.
Specially the investors are needed to be think as they made the demand higher of the altcoins and Bitcoins for which the price went up high.
Hope this growth will continue and we will be able to sell our, Bitcoins in  a higher price.

I know altcoins are moving in price too alongside Bitcoin but these price movement is nothing compared to what we should be expecting when the main bull comes in, I don’t know if altcoins price movement will follow the last trend because during the last trend, my portfolio grew when bitcoin was going sideways and not bull run.

But I am surprised that I have still not seen much growth now except the ones that are top 30 which is normal, I think some altcoins depends on the bullish mode of BTC while some does not depends on it, some gets their own bull even when BTC is down. So, I cannot say all altcoins will be affected by bitcoin's bull rally.

In the past also, for example, etheretum hit its ATH of till time after ~2 months of bitcoin's ATH occurrence time. It means altcoins are having their own trend cycle and does not need to be based on bitcoin and its market conditions.

being sincere, these altcoins are very dangerous investments, see the high increases they had and see the current prices:

Ethereum: came to be worth $1300 and today is worth less than $ 200 and I doubt it will revert back $ 1300

Bitcoin Cash: I feel very sorry for the people who buy this altcoin, it came to be worth  $ 4000 and today it is worth less than  $300, and I doubt very much that it will ever reach the  $4000 again. People who bought at the $ 2500 level have reason to be very disappointed with this altcoin

NEO: without doubt that this is another altcoin that was a great disappointment, came to be worth  $160 and today is worth  $11.

Does anyone really think about investing in these altcoins? in my opinion bitcoin is a more secure investment in relation to altcoins

The current uprise in bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies market price is the first recovery faces when bitcoin take a down turned from $20,000 or there about!  Those that were able to buy when bitcoin went below $3200 are now taking profits from the recent gains.  I still believed that another uprise is about to commence and taking good investment decision is the right thing to do.

Well, the investment made below $3200 were the best to profit by this time. Some form of price fluctuation along with a down market is been experienced now, possibly this will turn bullish anytime. As the bitcoin market is downturn the altcoins were also behaving in the same way.

Those who accumulated during its bottom are the one will gain a profit by this time since Bitcoin price growth unexpectedly and so does altcoins too. If this barrier won't break we might even see another price growth so it is better to accumulate already by this time. So far i haven't seen a bull trap which means this could be the real one to bull run.

I have never doubted bitcoin but I always have been in doubt with other crypto currencies.

They can always be sold in an instant in exchange for bitcoin. Yeah, any crypto currencies for bitcoin just so they could get out and make it into cash.
At most countries it is permitted but other coins are not yet on their list for cash out. So they will still take the path of exchanging it for bitcoin.
It might be a slow run but it is better for all of us rather than its price jumping into another which makes us WOW or mostly depressed.

We are the same here dude, I also never doubted bitcoin. Altcoins will remain altcoins and bitcoin is different from altcoins, I usually pick good altcoins in the top 100 altcoins in CoinmarketCap so that I know when bitcoin swinging the price and altcoins do something also like what bitcoin did. I believed that this happening now is just a piece of news that full of fud and fomo.

The price now is slightly better and on a very good positive uptrend and many investors already gaining trust and there are a lot of people considering this as the start of bull run, but newd to beware of the fomo and fud news that start coming out, I still doubt about the reason of the rising, hopefully this is the start of something good

I can see that, it gives relief to me, I was afraid that it will fall lower but it has been stable at $5,000 and now it's trading at $5100.
Small price increase but it's considered as big improvement, we haven't seen this kind of strong bullish movement in the past, we just want to see it fully bullish so we can bring this price to a higher level. There was new big news to cause a big pump to where we are now, I'm expecting one soon.

It was a really big relief, I had thought all our enemies that wishes to see the price fall below the $5000 will succeed, but I am glad the bulls  didn’t give them the chance to do so, I wish I have more money more than what  I can afford to invest, I would have also contributed to keeping the gap high.

But, I guess it’s only big investor that can keep the value back to the $5400 it dropped from, but I know that gradually, even without the input of the whales, we will slowly get back far above the price, time and patience is necessary for us to put into practice, our time will come when we will reach the ATH for this market.
