Title: Can Cardano Replace Bitcoin in 10 Years?
Post by: J8882EFU on April 07, 2019, 02:01:04 PM
If Cardano manages to successfully launch PoS, and it really gets so decentralized as Charles claims, I think in the next 10 years Cardano can surpass Bitcoin, not just as a utility but as a marketcap and a store of value.

Any thoughts?

I think in the far future, the BTC will be viewed as digital gold, and a place to store alternative assets, so it will remain the king of cryptocurrencies. It is difficult for altcoins to pass BTC.

The more stake you have the more coins you will get. What are your thoughts that enough to call Cardano can pass Bitcoin?
Did you read and really understand how Bitcoin works and its visions?

I understand how Bitcoin works and I believe that on decentralization, things can be improved. Big Bitcoin mines on the planet are few, and relatively vulnerable, being linked to a particular location. If Cardano succeeds in starting the PoS, in the first stage there will be approx. 1000 pools. Moreover, each ADA in each holder's wallet will put the shoulder to secure the network. In my opinion, Cardano will have better decentralization, implicitly security. Then there is efficiency and, of course, real utility, I refer to the smart-contract infrastructure.

Cardano is a very good coin with an active product and team. But beating the Bitcoin? It is just a day dream of someone! No, Cardano will never replace the bitcoin. Cardano is losing its high rank already, very soon this coin will come out from the top 10 ranks in Coinmarketcap! I respect every good coin, but when someone starts comparing with bitcoin, I go to disagree with their every word!

Not even ETH nott  EOS  can  surpass BTC why would you think  ADA will?
10 years from now BTC price also rises, its not like only Cardano will moon. All the  rest will also go up although I can't say cardano will move up to  5th or 3rd place, its price won't be more than what BTC will be.

I don't think that's gonna happen. In my opinion, Cardano is one of the coins that continues to grow and will be very valuable in the future. But I think 10 years later, Bitcoin still will be the most valuable coin in the market. Even now, Bitcoin has more than half of the market cap of the entire crypto market. In the future I think this rate will decrease. But any coins will not drop enough to cause it to replace the Bitcoin.

I think your comparison is wrong from start to finish. Bitcoin and Cardano aren't even in the same area. Cardano with ETH, EOS, Tron etc. we can compare them. Not BTC.

I really don't understand your skepticism about Bitcoin compared to Cadano. Bitcoin is the only valuable currency and influence in every aspect compared to Cadano. So I think this comparison is a bit unbalanced.

If you only need an opinion, then I guess I can provide you some, for me, bitcoin will be the greatest among all, but if cardano will be subject to a mass adoption wherein it can surpass the popularity of bitcoin, then there's no doubt it can be. But for now, looking at the market price of bitcoin which is 5160dollars is pretty powerful that we might not even think that any coin can go against it.

None of the projects has proven useful until now. I think Cardano has the best technology from all in you list. Better even than ETH. As soon as it is useful, it will overcome everything, my opinion even Bitcoin. 10 years is a lot, and mass adoption of crypto has not even begun.

I think maybe what you think can happen, because there is nothing impossible in cryptocurrency, an example is when Ripple defeated Ethereum, so I am sure if Cardano has a big project in the future and many investors believe on the project from Cardano, then the possibility of Cardano can defeat Ethereum will happen (like what you think).

For the moment, Bitcoin is the only valuable currency and influence. But if a crypto project (other than Bitcoin) becomes useful on a global scale? Then Bitcoin becomes small in comparison, only for "connoisseurs"

Don't forget ETH is also working on switching to POS so there's no reason for ADA to steal the top 1 place of Bitcoin.

It can only happen if all coins are dead and Cardano is the only sole surviving blockchain.

Let see what hapoen to the Cardano everyear if the progress is good. But they need to beat ethereum first because ethereum is the most suitable or good to replace bitcoin and I think we will wait only several year for that before the ethereum can reach as no.  1 in crypto.
I think Cardano needed mote partners and a lot of projects so many investor will invest and believe to this coin.

No!

Cardano os something totally different from Bitcoin. It offer a lot of more possibility and because of that there is a lot of things that could be wrong. It is an amazing project, it will probably be used a lot. But Bitcoin is unique, it is the first and will always be the one.

I don't know there are POS coins which are also decentralized, but they are not even a threat to Bitcoin and ten years is such a long year, there's a lot of changes that are going to happen, we have no idea what the next two years can bring, what more with ten years.

This is another joke, cardano will never surpass bitcoin even you can argue and defend it with thousands of reasons. Cardano will always be cardano and it will never replace BTC. POS is not a strong reason for that.

In Cardano, every owner will contribute to decentralization and security, in BTC, only mining pools are capable to secure the network. Cardano is more attractive from this point of view.

The short answer is no, only very few people hold Cardano, and even fewer use it. So I can't see this happen within 10 years. But cut Cardano be valued the same as bitcoins is now, in marketscap, yes that is possible if Cardano keeps developing and if bitcoins do a 100 to 1.000x from here.

In terms of Bitcoin I appreciate your thoughts. I also think in near future Bitcoin will be come as a valuable asset more than a digital currency. Or they both happen in paralle. But I don't think if you still consider Bitcoin as a crypto then it's hard for any altcoin to cross Bitcoin. And if somehow it's gonna happen then it will not be cardano. Cause cardano and Bitcoin they are very different form each other so it's make no sense that you compare bitcoin with cardano. Cardano is a good coin and it will go further than we thought but its hard for cardano to cross Bitcoin.

I also think that is the same as you because Bitcoin is a coin that is very unlikely to be replaced by another coin because Bitcoin is a very popular coin and is still fostering the market today.
so in the future though Cardano is growing rapidly but I think it's also thanks to the growing Bitcoin so Cardano will always be under Bitcoin.

Cardano replacing BTC? Hmmmm, i don't see that coming to pass owing to the potentials within BTC. Think of it, BTC has passed through many stages which makes it worthwhile today thereby attracting many investors. As funny as it might sound, when you ask most people if they have heard about cryptocurrency they will always refer to BTC, that is to show that there is likely no coin that can  replace BTC.

Well, Cardano's holders have every right to promote their beloved altcoin, in the same way that all the other defenders of the multiple cryptos at the time predicted that they would displace bitcoin sooner or later. But regardless of the success that Cardano gets to have or not, there will be no way to displace the bitcoin in its well-deserved influence and dominance in the market, although at a given time it even came to leave the first place in marketcap. The king will remain so until he dies.

Bitcoin is the father of cryptocurrency and Ethereum is the mother in my opinion.
Nothing can replace these coins from top 2 positions. Cardano on the other hand is a good project but to believe that Cardano will replace bitcoin is just a misconception.

Maybe within the next 10 years Bitcoin price will be $100k or more, who knows? and at that time the most valuable thing in the world will be Bitcoin as it is now.

I can't see any possibility in Cardano to replace the Bitcoin, and there is no possibility for any coin to replace the BTC! Pos will help Cardano to boost up in the market and the trading volume and it's rank can be stable in the top six, but ADA will not able to overcome even LTC! ETH, EOS and the BTC is far away from every coin!

I don't think it is anywhere close to displacing Bitcoin even in many years to come. because we know that Bitcoin is the king and will always be the king, we have seen a lot of project even much more than this project but they were not able to replace Bitcoin.
One simple thing I discovered is that if the price of bitcoin is affected negatively, the price of all other coin in the market will also be affected by it this is why bitcoin will always be the boss of all coin and it might take years to be replaced by any other coin.

Bitcoin is a king coin, which has much deep-rooted impression in the people around the globe. Bitcoin is a parent coin. I recently found an interesting project Sound Money Coin, they also position themselves as a killer of bitcoin. Why do that? It seems to me that it is necessary to develop in parallel. It is possible to argue about it much, but so far it only assumptions. Cardano very promising blockchain project, he has a great team and ambitions. But investors believe in Bitcoin as the number one cryptocurrency and a huge part of the investment is invested in BTC, as long as this is the case, Cardano will just be a very good project that can bring you huge profits in the future.

Meaning to say that after 10 years, bitcoin won't be the king anymore? come on, we all knew that no one knows the future but with this, another one that wants to claim the supremacy of bitcoin. If people will stop investing in bitcoin and stops using it as a store of value, well it's possible. But I don't see that it will happen whether it's going to change into PoS. There's a lot of coins that's already in PoS but never got that attention that bitcoin got after all these years. Day will come that people will rely on one cryptocurrency and that will be bitcoin, not any other coin.

I think cardano is difficult to go beyond bitcoin, even though in terms of features or technology it has been developed. But there is a possibility, but it is very small for me to see it. If we think Bitcoin until now still continues to dominate cryptocurrency, and in its popularity it is still always on the altcoin. That's what makes me optimistic that bitcoin is difficult to replace with any altcoin.

i think cardano can't surpass bitcoin cause bitcoin is the core of the cryptocurrency right now and beside that cardano have to beat the other coin like ripple and ETH. so in 10 years i think cardano can't beat bitcoin to become number one in cryptocurrency

Cardano's development is not even yet in the complete stage so it is still very hard to predict it will replace bitcoin. And in my opinion I guess, even if it is fully utilized and functional, bitcoin cannot be replaced by any altcoins in the market. Its strong and solid supporter believe that bitcoin is the king and always be the king of cryptcurrency.

I watched on the crypto market how projects went back from the very bottom to the top 100, but I don’t think Cardan is such a breakthrough technology that it will be able to predict Bitcoin by capitalization.

Like seriously? Cardano not even ETH. Well, I find this extremely hard to believe as BTC is highly valuable and heavily invested by almost anyone in this space. There is hardly no one within this space who don't own BTC. So saying Cardano will overtake BTC, I don't think it will come to pass.

Not even in 100 years to come. Cardano is not even in the same category with the dapp King called ethereum. Maybe your statement is borne out of passion as a Cardano holder but I am sorry, it can't be compared to bitcoin

It's possible but a way too far to happen. Simply because of the price gap and the difference between its popularity and demand. I think cardano can replace bitcoin around decades of years and when bitcoin would lose its potential as it would decrease continuosly so that some of the altcoin may surpass its price.

There's nothing to compare, Bitcoin's position in the crypto world is very strong and there is no way that it can surpass bitcoin in a near future, so better to stop thinking about it because Bitcoin (https://coinswitch.co/app/exchange?from=usd&to=btc) is the mother of all coins so it is very difficult to beat.Bitcoin is the No.1 cryptocurrency in the coin market cap and it is one of the potential cryptos that we can hold for a long term.It is gaining adoption and some people have started using BTCs in real time, like buying a Lamborghini or buying a mansion. It's easy as well as advanced. Once you understand the technology behind it, you will definitely embrace the beauty of this digital currency.

Do we know there will be cardano in 10 years? Or even bitcoin? It is very unpredictable market and i can't comment even a year later and you are asking 10 years later.

Cardano certainly has a lot of promise, but it also has a lot to prove. A lot of the price has been based on anticipation of future functionality, rather than something that has been tested in the real world. I would say be careful. The potential is certainly there for it to succeed massively, but there is also a risk attached.
As to whether it can overtake BTC's marketcap, that doesn't seem likely in the near future. Longer-term no-one knows, but if BTC does become the crypto 'store-of-value' coin, then it will likely remain number 1.

What do you mean by replacing Bitcoin?
To take Bitcoin's first place, to be used as a store of value, to be used as a base pair on the cryptocurrency market?
Anyway only time will tell, 10 years is a very long period of time in the cryptospace, is equivalent with maybe 50 years is forex market.

Title: Re: Can Cardano Replace Bitcoin in 10 Years?

This is no need to ask for this question cause that is really impossible to happen. Even that Ethereum or Ripple don't have that chances knowing that how much potential they are, how much more for Cardano to make it? Even crypto will still be existing for 50 years, I still believe that no other coins could replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin have a unique creation which could be having a huge gap with the other crypto coins.

You already answer your own question  .

10 years have already passed but bitcoin is still the number one crypto .  i guess that is an indication that no one will replace bitcoin  .

I heard cardano before and i see that it got alot of supporters .   cardano might be better when use as a currency use because we all know that alts are more faster cost cheaper in terms of tx fees  but for other usage , no one still beats the original  .

Actually, it'a pretty stuppid to say that Cardano can defeat bitcoin ::) ::). As observing, it comes without nothing that there has been many coins created and it is too valued a highly potential coin, and also people started making a comparison between bitcoin and some potential coins. However, till now, probably many of them get rid of comparing bitcoin with one another. Because obviously, bitcoin is considered the king of the whole crypto market, hardly does a coin can take its position. I don't know  whether or not any coin can defeat bitcoin  in the future. But at current, bitcoin is the most dominent and reliable coin in terms of cryptocurrencies.

I think it's hard to beat Bitcoin for 10 years, lots of investors and dev. who continue to develop bitcoin so that the position of bitcoin becomes very strong, and this we can see bitcoin dominates up to more than 50% of the cryptocurrencies marketcap.

Look at another side if you got an information and then you should compare it and make a conclusion. Although I don't know what will happen in the future but I guess that is no an assurance that cardano will have a high price and even could surpass bitcoin price. You have to read this information and hopefully you will evaluate it https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2019-April/016811.html , because you take bitcoin as a victim from that information.

On top of the bitcoin you actually can build anything other coins/tokens do , as long as miners agree to it . Did something replaced cellphones currently ? No , they just got upgraded better ones . Thats what will happen with bitcoin i guess :)

Cardano is objectively better than Bitcoin. And because I used the word ‘objectively’, it means I’m right.

At a basic level, Cardano is Just Another Blockchain. It’s proof-of-stake, not proof-of-work, but I don’t think the trading-card stats tell much of a story.

I think their strength is in their approach.

Bitcoin is not just about investment as we see it, bitcoin is more than what we take it to be now and gradually, people are beginning to use it for its utility purpose and before all these ones you mention can cough, BTC would have been almost accepted by virtually every crypto holdlers which will make them never to pay attention to any other coin for utility and investment purpose other than Bitcoin.

Nope.

At this point, I can confidently say that Cardano does not have a chance.
If they managed to get up and running a year ago, then yes.
But the platform still isn't fully functional.

Meanwhile, you have other platforms that are performing well and have penetrated the market.
A lot of these are just as good as cardano and have already established themselves.
And, of course, there is ethereum.
Even with all of the problems with scalability, it is still the dominant leader by far.

There have been so many cases of inferior tech beating out "superior" tech due to other market circumstances.

Also, comparing ada to btc isn't really beneficial because, although they are crypto, they are very different.
That would be like someone comparing stocks, one is Apple, the other is Tesla.
Totally different markets for both of them.

Because investors have stuck to it like a dollar. Does the world economy need this piece of paper? I think no, she is not worth anything now. But it continues to be equal. So on Bitcoin. If investors transfer their assets to ETH, what will change? the whole market will go to the top because on the basis of Eth there are 1000 projects.

If Cardano manages to successfully launch PoS, and it really gets so decentralized as Charles claims, I think in the next 10 years Cardano can surpass Bitcoin, not just as a utility but as a marketcap and a store of value.

Any thoughts?

Just like that and they are going to surpass Bitcoin, what kind of logic is that so many coins have boosted that it can replace Bitcoin but Bitcoin is still the number one coin in the market and still going strong, they have to go through Ethereum and Ripple first before they can claim that.

I think any coins or tokens can possibly surpass bitcoin but a way too hard to happen. Because bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency, and i think it is hard to tell that bitcoin can dump its price in the next ten years of crypto.

I don't think that it could replace Bitcoin although it is a good project,
But let's face the fact there are also many good project's and it didn't even come close on taking over Bitcoin.

yes, I agree with you
I'm not sure about Cardano (ADA) if I have to replace Bitcoin in the next ten years.
even though everything is possible. but that is very difficult.
- I also believe that Carnado is unlikely to have the opportunity to replace bitcoin in the future because right now, we can look at the position of the bitcoin and cardano on the CMC, a great distance, capitalization and the trust of the community for Bitcoin is too strong when compared cardano, and this gap is not easily offset when the development of bitcoin is still very fast. In addition, the history of bitcoin is always to beat all competitors who want to compete with it, looking at eth and xrp, they are too strong but bitcoin is still stronger, instead of thinking about replacing bitcoin, cardano should look for another opponent

cardano replaces bitcoin? I think this is impossible, even within 10 years. cardano might be good, but it still can't compete with bitcoin. it may be more realistic to challenge ethereum or ripple. but nothing is impossible here too. so it might be good if one day cardano is ranked 1.

first what is the reason why cardano can beat bitcoin. This is what we have to find out in advance and I think bitcoin is superior to cardano in all parts. so it's hard to beat bitcoin when a lot of people support BTC, even with 10 years it won't happen. cardano is far behind utility, marketcap and others are still far below bitcoin.

I think in the far future, the BTC will be viewed as digital gold, and a place to store alternative assets, so it will remain the king of cryptocurrencies. It is difficult for altcoins to pass BTC.
Indeed mate thats why its impossible for cardano to take place as bitcoin sill continue to dominate the market for being crypto king.not unless in future people will leave the support for bitcoin and convert to another one.but I doubt it will gonna happen as i am seeing bitcoin can even reach a hundred thousand bucks in 10years

it seems impossible but we don't know what will happen later but considering this bitcoin has a large community and the price is always increasing, I think it's impossible for cardano to go beyond bitcoin. but anything can happen, in terms of price, it can be said that the cardano price comparison is also quite far from the price of bitcoin.

I think before it happen cardano must surpass first the other potentials altcoins in the market such as Ethereum, Dash, Litecoin,

I watched on the crypto market how projects went back from the very bottom to the top 100, but I don’t think Cardan is such a breakthrough technology that it will be able to predict Bitcoin by capitalization.
Yep, Bitcoin is too big for it and is in charge of half of the cryptocurrency market cap. There’s a lot of gap. One coin I have always thought would be able to take over from Bitcoin, that’s if it is possible, has been Ethereum. But, the way I’m seeing it, none of them will be able to do such a thing. Bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency, others are just an alternative as they are being called already.

Funny thing is that these new coins are fond of giving promises that they can never fulfill. Bitcoin is the biggest cryptocurrency there is and I don’t see any other cryptocurrency getting bigger than it is. When we talk of cryptocurrency, Bitcoin has made a household name for itself, and therefore whenever people talk of cryptocurrency, the first thing that comes to the mind is Bitcoin and it is the only coin that controls the market. An end for Bitcoin is as well an end for the whole market.

BTC was never about utility alone, all these benefits you mentioned about Cardano are already covered by bitcoin, does that name even sound like what will be popular to ear in future irrespective of any technology they want to go on. Do you know what rings bell in the ear when people seek for the beginning of cryptocurrency, they speak and see BTC alone, as EOS is coming up with their added value technologies.

Yes, they will gain lots of recognition and more stronger community but by that 10 years too, do you know how many stronger people would have joined BTC community? And by then, BTC would have already be getting very stable for it to be useful for store value.

If you put a POLL online now and ask how many people will choose to invest in EOS to Bitcoin in 10 years’ time, I am very sure the ration will be 5%(EOS) to 95%(EOS), do you know how many other projects EOS will have to bit to achieve its goal in which it will even be impossible to beat those projects talk less of replacing Bitcoin, within that 10 years span, there are still many wonderful projects that will have the same product EOS will be offering making people concentrate less in the project but as Bitcoin is number 1 cryptocurrency, people will always like to associate with it first before any other coin can be considered.

I used to think ADA will replace ETH, but taking on BTC, that's quite a challenge. Bitcoin still has lots of juice left, so whether or not PoS is launched (and mind you Cardano isn't the only one aiming for PoS, even Ethereum is on that list), so it's a really long shot. But who knows, a lot can change in 10 years.

In the early days, Bitcoin seemed only practical from a cryptographic perspective and over the years has grown on a majority of institutional class investors to become truly valuable in all of its value propositions. So yeah, Bitcoin has got a decade of experience and traction ahead of new generation DLTs.

Cardano had its chances and the developers could not make use of it. Back in 2017-18, there were a lot of talk about the technology behind Cardano. Bitcoin has been here for a long time and still dictating the market now,  if bitcoin will fall, I'm afraid our dreams will turn to nothing.

It`s impossible because Cardano is platform like Ethereum. Cardano and Bitcoin have different use cases here, why would one replace
other?
There are good platforms and I think there is enough space for all of them to work. World is big, we will need many platforms. It`s true
decentralization, people will be able to choose what to use or use all of them for different needs.

I cannot think this would not happen. The cryptocurrency market is so much competitive and liberal that any coin showing good performance and winning the customers can overtake any good and big coin. In that regard, cardano may replace bitcoin in 10 years. But seeing every aspects of both bitcoin and cardano, cardano could not replace bitcoin in the next 10 years. I think bitcoin will lead the crypto market as a legacy coin and it will remain at the top always.

If Cardano manages to successfully launch PoS, and it really gets so decentralized as Charles claims, I think in the next 10 years Cardano can surpass Bitcoin, not just as a utility but as a marketcap and a store of value.

Any thoughts?
I wonder how and why you guys created a footless speculations because nothing proof ADA to have the capacities with the level of community support to replaced Bitcoin. Besides, the last time I checked the coin in subject hardly replace ethereum in the smart contract business scheme not to mention replacing Bitcoin in terms of uses and store value.

Agree, i dont think ADA will replace bitcoin in next 10years. Bitcoin is solid crypto and having biggest liquidity in market. I am believe Cardano is good coin but i dont think will replace bitcoin as store of value. I am prefer choosing mineable coin

In a recent Interview, Cardano Ceo claimed to say Cardano is more decentralized than bitcoin as we already know these  kind of statements were made only to attract the new investors but in reality Cardano is no way competitor for bitcoin
I also watched the interview and we both know that no crypto currency is 100% decentralized but I believed hes reffering to where hes planning to take the project to i the future. However, Ada seems to be gaining more wings but the interview in subject is just a hype to boost investors morals toward Cardano

I do not think that cardano will beat bitcoin, the king coin, in the next 10 years. In fact, it can never surpass bitcoin in anytime. But I maybe too early to say this as cardano is just a young and bitcoin is old or parent. Cardano has a long way to go in terms of its development. But bitcoin is the first coin and has made much good impression in the people around the world. Given support from the people around the world and the way bitcoin is being accepted, cardano can never beat bitcoin.

This idea is very futuristic but real. The Cardano blockchain is much more functional and progressive than the BTC blockchain. BTC is currently very popular in investment circles because of its huge capitalization and hype Vokrug him. But we should not forget that the future belongs to a quality and innovative product. And Cardano is more perfect than BTC.

Yeah it's only for hype. In my opinion Cardano is far from to replace bitcoin, even there are some altcoins that suit better to replace bitcoin. Even after 10 years Cardano will never replace bitcoin. News like this is also happened to other alts too, they said this alt will replace bitcoin and bla bla bla.
Agree, lots of similar news, lots of information about altcoin that can replace bitcoin in the near future but as time passes quietly, what I see is still the dominance of bitcoin, almost all competitors are exhausted, there is no energy in this race while bitcoin is still very stable, sometimes it can go down but after all, it still goes up again, replacement has yet to happen, things are just rumors with the aim of pushing the prices of some altcoin up

I don't think that's possible, the reason is because at any time Bitcoin continues to grow. even in the next 10 years, it's still impossible. the cardano might be good, but there are still many similar platforms like him. so maybe in the future he will compete to maintain his position.

replace bitcoin... i see this impossible because the markets are Bitcoin-based. That means the alts could have a price bigger than bitcoin in the future, let's say 1ETH=1.5BTC but that doesn't mean now the coins will now be Ethereum-Based, markets will keep quoting alts in BTC.

It will be difficult for any coins to surpass bitcoin in terms of market capitalization and value in the next ten years because of the foundation that it has establish among the decentralized cryptocurrencies.  Almost all the physical structures of cryptocurrencies in any country has bitcoin as a foundations and I don't think that this foundation can be wiped away by cardano in the next ten years.
I think bitcoin is going to serve as money market to the cryptocurrencies market and at that I believe that it is going to remain the dominant coin.

You are joking right? Even if Cardano launches 10 different PoS, it won't even sniff the air that Btc is breathing right now. Also, while Cardano launches PoS, other altcoins will also add updates and improvements to their coin projects during this period too. So the competition alone will make it hard for Cardano

Let the people decide and I think they will always choose bitcoin.
Cardano has a potential, it's currently  on its early stage and it has a good number of supporters, well you can tell it on the volume.
It's good for this coin to be ambitious as that means they are working hard to develop the coin to be the best in the future.

I think bitcoin will be a king in cryptocurrency in 10 years. although cardano has a proof of stakes protocol but it will be very difficult to exceed bitcoin. in terms of price, trading volume and cardano market capitalization are still very low compared to bitcoin. so there won't be an altcoin that can replace bitcoin. bitcoin is the main one in cryptocurrency.

The main advantages of Bitcoin:
1. Trust (It was the first)
2. Bitcoin allows you to buy any altcoin

When both items become invalid, then Bitcoin will go to the background (but even so will not disappear).

Cardano isnt suitable for this role. At least in the current situation.
Some exchange token, for example BNB, is more suitable here, but not Cardano.

Is it true ? I do not imagine that, because it is almost impossible for bitcoin to be rivaled by cardono. before that, there were many altcoins that were far more potent than cardono in my opinion. so it's far from possible to beat bitcoin.
especially bitcoin is crypto which is very market binding

Stop dreaming, there is no any altcoins out there that can be more relevant than BTC in the next 100 years. Tell the first coin that launched you into cryptospace if not bitcoin. Being the number 1 crypto coin, it is the only door by which all other coins or tokens came in and it will continue to have that first place and huge impact in cryptocurrency.

Something like Cardano could well end up top in marketcap, Cardano or ETH or EOS or something else. Smart contracts have the potential to utterly transform everyday life.
I'm not so sure that Cardano can be a store of value though. I think store of value is a distinctive use case, and wouldn't overlap well with other uses. Plus at the moment it looks like that could end up being BTC's role, and it's difficult to foresee something supplanting BTC in that role, particularly given BTCs huge headstart.

In such long distance as 10 years we hardly can guess what will happen with any altcoin. But i can suggest bitcoin still be top one. People will invest in bitcoin like they invest in gold and art masterpieces now.
Sure, that will be the fact, there is no amount of raise cardano wants to run that will make it overtake Bitcoin, Bitcoin will always remain dominant, the number of people trooping in to Bitcoin everyday will always be higher till the 10 years.

What usually make some projects overtake others is reviews and hyping, people will check reviews, cardano might get a good review but right now, I don’t think people have got any reason to complain on bitcoin transactions, so the review will always be better than that of cardano and such as the hype too. I have both of them, so I say BTC to the moon, while Cardano to the sky, lol.

I think relying mostly on the updates started by ethereum that PoS or proof of Stake would be even better than PoW is not that applicable to all of the cryptocurrency in the market. Updates should be based on what is the needs in order to support it and make things happen that will going to contribute on the development of a particular crypto.

I think you're a little too optimistic. Even though Cardano is a great currency, with a huge project and an experienced team, and even if it successfully launches PoS, it will be impossible to become the most traded currency crypto. There are many people who think that Bitcoin is the only crypto currency, being a representative currency for the crypto market. I think Bitcoin will be used as a means of payment worldwide, being the most traded currency anyway. It is impossible to lose the 1st place in the coinmarketcap.
