Title: WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO PROMOTE BITCOIN MASS ADOPTION?
Post by: Cryptoobiobi on April 08, 2019, 06:21:19 AM
What we have done or are doing to promote the mass adoption of bitcoin is a pertinent question which needs honest answers. The aim of this right-up is to encourage we bitcoiners to join in the fight for mass adoption, even in our little corner.

Bitcoin like every the traditional currency needs to be widely accepted and used for its value to increase. The economist says that it is the forces of demand and supply (Market forces) that determines the price (Value) of a commodity. When mass adoption is achieved, demand for bitcin will be higher, leading to a price surge. Other than that, Bitcoin is freedom, fast secure and efficient. It is a decentralized currency which you spend whenever and wherever you wish without third party control or regulation, it is the next world currency and should be adopted by all.

For this adoption to be gained effectively, we bitcoiners need to preach bitcoin adoption, practice and live it for the adoption to be swift and as soon as possible. Imagine if 1 million bitcoiners can impart and introduce bitcoin and its potentials to 10 people each, do your maths (1,000,000 * 10= 10m) Now imagine if the 10m people now are able to get extra 10 people each? You see the multiplier effect?
Bitcoin adoption is a task to be achieved by we all. Lets teach our family, friends, colleagues and neighbors of the inherent benefits of bitcoin and how to use it.

Personally, I have used my position as the church treasurer in my church to introduce the use of bitcoin for payment of tithes and offerings. Members who use bitcoins are given my bitcoin wallet to make payments, while others can pay cash.
I run a little computer training institute and all my workers are paid in bitcoins. My students have a 2% fees deduction if they pay in bitcoins.

In my own way, through my efforts, over 40 persons and counting have adopted bitcoin and are actively using them. I hold seminars for them and others as well. Through your efforts too, more people can adopt bitcoin, lets become the droplets of water that makes a big ocean.
Brighten the corner where you are, preach bitcoin, live bitcoin, love bitcoin, use bitcoin untill the whole world adopts it

I'm no preacher. I just tell bitcoin so my inner circles only, why? because I want others to see what bitcoin can truly bring to them and not just blah blah here and there and at the end of the day, they still didn't understand what bitcoin or crypto is.

Let the people discover it for themselves, and at least no one will blame you if bitcoin price suddenly goes haywire (as in the case in 2018 up to present). But goodluck to anyone who's trying to spread the words though, I have nothing against you, but it's not my cup of tea.

The problem is, even if we preach and teach about crypto, non-bitcoin believers willonly see it either as a way to gain income or a scam. People are always concerned with how will they will earn money, and yet scared to invest in something that they are new about. In time without putting too much effort cryptocurrency knowledge will spread without is noticing it.

I have tried to introduce bitcoin to many people around me but unfortunately most of them are not attracted because they thinks that bitcoin and blockchain technology is so hard and complicated to learn. I cant blame them though, I have to admit that I live in a small village where most people are still doing traditional ways to get income for their life and do not really care about modern technology in the internet.
I'm not giving up, I keep on trying and hopefully they will be interested to join.

Whoa that's some outreach telling people in your church and students but i also think the mass adoption of bitcoin can be achieved if bitcoin itself is improved in terms of its speed of making transactions. Currently bitcoin can make about 7 or less transactions within a second, so you can imagine how slower this is going to get if half of the world decide to use bitcoin in making payments for transactions.

the best thing I could have done is to encourage other businesses, merchants,... to accept bitcoin as payment while telling them about the benefits of doing so and avoiding advertisement of bitcoin as an investment or get rich quick, or basically anything involving profit making. I have also spent bitcoin anywhere that accepts bitcoin and is offering something I want. I have even bought computer hardware from physical shops with bitcoin.

the worst thing that people can do in the name of "promoting bitcoin" is to tell others to buy bitcoin, hold and become rich!

This is one of the problems. People still know very little about Bitcoin and blockchain and many are not interested to learn no matter how hard you try to promote it. But mass adoption can't depend on individual promotion and it's not tied only to people's knowledge about Bitcoin. In the first place it is depending on legal regulation and financial baseground that are necessary for mass adoption both by individuals and businesses. So the problem is much more complex than what are we as individuals done to promote Bitcoin.

What I've done to introduce bitcoin to all, I tell them that this is a kind of money but no bank needs it to keep it. it's likely that you just heard it but it's true and it's not a scam. most people I told about it got shock until I let them research for themselves and tell me what can they say about it. mostly they join me using it as a payment for Game Credits and some of them use it to buy a load on mobile phones.

In the first place it is depending on legal regulation and financial baseground that are necessary for mass adoption both by individuals and businesses.

you are basically saying that bitcoin has failed!
as a decentralized currency the whole point of bitcoin has always been to NOT need regulations, government intervention, or anything like that. so if you are saying adoption of it depends on regulation by the government then you are saying bitcoin has failed.

and that is not the case. bitcoin doesn't need regulation and for the past 10 years it has continued being adopted without any regulations and will continue doing so just as well.
not to mention that in most cases regulations only means more taxes and limitations and nothing constructive.

Its good to see your efforts in trying to promote Bitcoin to the masses, but the biggest hurdles here are:

1. Complicated for many people
2. Controversial(Scams, Hacks, Ponzis etc)
3. Why take a risk on something so volatile when FIAT is far more reliable and dependable?
4. Network congestion now and then leading to TX time and speed problems
5. Majority of the investors view Bitcoin as an asset rather than a currency

These are just a couple of reasons why mass adoption is still very far away, but regular developments(LN etc) in these aspects will help make this a reality at some point in the future.

This is a good question. The right people to answer would be the Early adopters and Original inhabitants of the forum. Those are the only people who can actually make a difference because they have enough BTC to make a difference. The rest of us can post away all we want, it won't change the fact that majority of BTC is being hoarded due to lack of avenues to spend or to avoid taxation.

Even on our forum, not enough of these people can be found. Maybe due to privacy reasons and the very real risks that early adopters have if they are known to be big hodlers. This is the major impediment in adoption. No matter how many free tutorials spring up, without a spending spree, BTC isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Imagine if the Federal Reserve had decided to hoard all its USD bills and opened a million free tuitions to tell people about the "advantages" of Fiat currency. Would we ever see adoption on the global scale we have now?? No.  Fiat gets adopted because those who produce it and hold it, spread it out in form of wages and as public investments.

Unfortunately, those who produce BTC (Miners), sell it off to maintain operations and earn Fiat. Those who hold it (Early adopters, 1000+ purse-holders), JUST HODL IT. I believe that maybe a jolly few amongst them open Sig campaigns and run Gambling dens here at the forum. That is what maintains the trickle down effect. Where are all the others from the forgotten tombs of BCT?? Fuck knows.. ;D ::)

This could be a good discussion if a few old people came forward anonymously to actually tell their stories.

We have different perception in promoting bitcoin to our society or even our friend and family. I know it will contribute to tempt people and have mass adoption if you have shared good stuff regarding bitcoin matter. From the blog in youtube and some good articles stating Bitcoin, I share that on my social media account like facebook and twitter. I know in that way I can contribute to spreading the goodness of bitcoin if they adopt this and of course it will result in mass adoption.

Honestly its hasn't been an easy task convincing people to adopt and embrace the use of bitcoin, personally I realised that the past bitter experience of some the unfortunate people who invested in the scam and fraudulent MMM ponzi scheme had resulted to people exercising caution into any online investment now.
Although I was able to convinced two of my colleagues to see reason why they need to invest in bitcoin while I had succeeded in getting one of them having his blockchain wallet funded with some btc for a start and practical idea of hodling it

I've been asking local merchants here if they accept bitcoin as an alternative when I'm buying some local products here. They ask what is bitcoin and I said that it's an online currency which is accepted by most people who uses the internet on their daily transaction, fast and secure way to pay someone, unlike most payment method.

You just said it the way I do. I don't make it look like it's a compulsory thing for anyone. Talk about it to clise friends and then let it just pass. After all, there are countries where the British Pound is still not recognized as money. So, why should we expect that everyone must accept Bitcoin. But honestly, Bitcoin has already recorded greater success than expected within its short time of existence. That is if anyone takes into cognizance the history of money.

Sooner or later this will happen soon. For those who miss it, of course they will experience tremendous regret. The opportunity to use crypto will be missed and many people have had satisfactory results. The spread of crypto information is actually quite good because nowadays there are so many people who can access the internet, which determines whether the person wants to understand crypto or not, that is something that must be understood. Usually people who want to learn crypto are someone who is not difficult to use crypto and they have a high willingness.

True. I totally agree with you on this. When investors goes around inviting people to buy and hold  Bitcoin. It makes it looks more like a ponzi scheme.
It would have been a great achievement if Bitcoin are used by huge shoppings outlets and businesses but nevertheless, the idea of introducing small business to using Bitcoin is a huge baby steps for greater adoption.

Some users mislead other people just to get profit on their affiliate links, its too bad for the people to easily believe on that. We can promote bitcoin in anyway we want but hopefully you will do the right thing so bitcoin will have no bad image anymore. Small businesses might be on their resistance mode right now but for sure they will do what is right in the future, they will adopt it.

It could be little but every bitcoin user has helped 'cause every use contributes to the flow. Those who believed and stayed both in good and FUD times also helped in making the walls stronger, keeping it from falling down.

Honestly, it's very difficult for an average person to encourage ppl in using bitcoin without damaging their image,  when you push it too hard it could throw ppl off.

Hey I convinced my local sellers to accept money in form of bitcoins, also finally was able to convince sellers from whom I purchase SEO Services to accept money in the form of bitcoins. In my initial days I used to fight with my family and friends that they start using bitcoins, but later on I stopped as it was not worth the efforts. Also in my free time I share bitcoins price charts on social media so people realise it’s potential and join in.

You are right, even me, I didn't promote bitcoin because of the fact that to avoid the possible troubles when the person did not meet their expectations on bitcoin (of course that is profit). I let my friends and family discover what bitcoin it is or how does it work. One reason is probably they were blaming you and second is the criticism of people regarding bitcoin FUD news. Let's show our self to them how successful we are in adopting bitcoin for sure they will follow you after they knew it.

I think we to start our marketing promotion inside in our house. You need to encourage your family member to use and to invest in bitcoin. In promoting bitcoin you don't have to pay a expensive tv advertisement or big posters to promote bitcoin. You as an investor can promote it by being role model as a bitcoin successful. Let us teach them on how to invest and use of bitcoin in simpliest way like sharing thought about bitcoin.

I know different kinds of promoting cryptocurrency example here in our country wallet that very useful with digital wallet like bitcoin and ethereum then with our own fiat currency then we can also use this to pay many different bills so if promote this i'm sure they will use this

Then i also have different social account with many friends and all are real so if i recommend for using cryptocurrency i'm sure they will try this after that they will also spread this so in the future all will really use this
If you are recommending to use cryptocurrencies to people, that are unfamiliar with it then you should explain how it can be used and why is it better than the other payment services. Bitcoin won't become popular if the only thing we will do is offering our friends to use it to pay their bills with slower and expensive transactions instead of using their bank cards. Bitcoin is lacking some strong arguments in these positions.

I already introduce bitcoin since 3 years ago, and until now, I think I can count how many people who have joined to bitcoin. Some of them are excited to participate in bitcoin, but the rest of them only says "Oh, that will be great. But maybe I will join later because I need to learn more about bitcoin. I don't want to waste my time for doing something that is not worth" and other things.

But I never give up to tells to other people and teach them about bitcoin because I believe that if they join with bitcoin, they can have a better life in the future. Perhaps, they cannot see the good result from bitcoin in the short-term, but I am sure that soon, when the bitcoin price can increase higher, then they will see that what they invest in the past can give them a lot of money. And it's not just about a new investment model, but it also gives them a chance to make more money in many ways.

I'm not necessarily against this, but mindsets like this is what makes others think Bitcoin is a gigantic ponzi. It just comes off as pushy and obsessive; the way you say it even makes it feel like a religion.

Either way, Bitcoin is money, and the best thing you can do for it is use it as such. Ask your favorite stores if they accept it so they know there's interest, support businesses that do accept it, offer to pay your friends with it, don't talk about it as a way to earn, etc. It doesn't have to be anything flashy. What's important is that people know that it exists and that it has real world uses.

Well it's easy to promote bitcoin, just tell your friends about it. However, what I don't like is giving financial advises though. Most of the time, specially if someone is interested and then they found out that they can make money in the market is asking me for investment advise.

I blatantly tell them there is a risk involved and there is no guarantee to make money. Most of them take this negatively though. As for merchants, just go to their support and contact them and say they should include bitcoin as payment method and maybe they would listen.

Your approach is certainly commendable, and I agree that such an approach would be a good way of promoting bitcoin as currency. One of the problems people most often encounter when dealing with bitcoin is its great volatility, which is a big obstacle when it comes to paying sometimes. It is difficult to explain to people that price of bitcoin can go up / down in the amount of several thousand dollars, and while it is not a problem when price is going up, certainly it is in the case where there is a sharp downs.

What we need is stability of the price, and a way to prevent price manipulation - and this is almost impossible now. It is an indisputable fact that most users use bitcoin just as store of value / investment, and that a smaller percentage uses bitcoin for payments. This percentage is further reduced in low-priced periods, it is not same to pay 500$ at 3000$ bitcoin price or at 6000$.

We back in 2015, while in Milan as computer Tech, one  senior Pastor incharge of the pentecostal church made enquiry from me about some of this trading opportunities on the web unfortunately, i did not mention bitcoin since, i'm not into btc at that time.

Thanks a lot BtcSeo for the merit.

Personally, i stand and protect anything good. Being the church treasurer gives me a good right to control and suggest how to improve the way tithes and offerings are being pad in the church. I earned an award for introducing Btc to the church because even our members abroad pay their tithe to us here through Btc. The church treasury is getting fatter.

the fact am trying to make here is that Btc can be used anywhere, even in the church. so let us all be worthy ambassadors.

You have definitely been doing very good job, but frankly speaking, we bitcoiners haven't done enough to promote the mass adoption of bitcoin so far. We can easily promote it to our family members, friends and explain them the benefits of using bitcoin. With the help of our social media account we can easily promote it to our friends and followers all over the world.

Well as for me what I have done is to educate my friends and family members about it , you know the best thing that could ever happen for Bitcoins is this forum , what I do is I usually tell them the basics and then send the link of the forum to my friends , it's really nice for them to be able to see and feel first hand what happens right here.
I tell then to go to the services section and see the wide range of activities they can usually do, offline jobs are a hard to get thus I also tell them how they can earn through Bitcoins and trust me it works 😂🙌

The effort made by Op is really a big thing, each and every user here could've contributed to the increase in the adoption of bitcoin through the word of mouth spreading. It is hard to make people use bitcoin, myself have explained about cryptocurrency to more than 15 users but just about three started using it. Maybe through them someone too could've started using it.

I don't think bitcoin knowledge should be shared with other people because those who don't want to hear will not listen and those who are interested even if you don't teach them they will find their way in learning and also because some people have a bad notion on cryptocurrency particularly bitcoin so no matter how you explain to them they will not believe you specially if they themselves been scammed and had lose a lot of money from it. Anyway, bitcoin is no secret and almost everyone heard about it even little children know so the world will eventually come to full knowledge about bitcoin.

The sequence is a reason why bitcoin has thrived so far

Yes. I have also experienced through mouth spreading but only few of them have believed about bitcoin. So what i did is just post ideas about bitcoin in my facebook account and let others make a thorough research about bitcoin. If people gets interested in bitcoin, i think they will also find more ways to understand bitcoin even more.

When there is some form of promotion through ads automatically it'll reach a large number of common people. Now without any form of promotion, just through the users it has reached this, this is how growth needs to be. When we keep promoting through ads we need to face lot of legal issues, another thing important is the spending. As it is decentralized no authority takes responsibility in spreading it to the world.

The government cant stop you from using a cryptos because cryptos are not controlled by any single authority  .  government can only restrict local exchange and stores that are related to crypto  . you can still send and recieve you cryptos mate  , dont worry  .

That is a verry nice way to promote bitcoin mate . that would help trigger the mass adoption that everyone wants  . make sure to explain in a non technical manner .  avoid using complex words   and lastly use some example like showing them you wallet and its balance , show your reciept    . in that way you can easily encourage people around you  .

Fuck knows.. ;D ::)

This could be a good discussion if a few old people came forward anonymously to actually tell their stories.

what we personally could do is to vote for its regulation when governments put such law under discussion and consideration. we must not keep silent

actually we don't need to promote it. we only need to use it every day. it's difficult to introduce something if they don't know the benefits and advantages. I am here using Bitcoin to transfer money between countries. this is more profitable than sending money through a bank. although the risk of volatile is very high, this can make people interested in using it.

This is a question everyone needs to ask his or herself. We all want bitcoin price to pump but most people dont think of how they will promote bitcoin in other for it to be massively adopted forgetting the price of bitcoin will only pump high when its fully adopted for use. We should do our best to educate people about the use of bitcoin and blockchain technology if we want to see it fully adopted all across the globe.

I think the best way to promote bitcoin to be adopted by many is to build its reputation. With all the hackers around many would be scared to
consider in investing a lot of time in saving currencies in addition open to the risk of getting robbed online. :'(

Given the fact that the internet has a bad reputation of being abused as a medium of hacking. We can effectively promote bitcoin by simply explaining to others what is  and why bitcoin is safe and secured.
To all students out there who takes computer related courses I suggest that you consider on researching on how to make the cryptocurrency more secure than it is. Bitcoin still has a long journey of innovation to take until it could be considered the main medium of exchange.  ;

I was sceptic about cryptocurrencies at first. The one thing that helped me in understanding it better (and eventually got really intrested in it) was a chance to easily exchange BTC to real-world currencies like Euros. Also, fees felt like a thing to be worried about, but when I checked some of the offers (mine all-time favourite must be: CoinDeal's Fees (https://coindeal.com/fees)), it was no longer a problem.

I mean, the technology speaks for itself- a revolutionary payment method which eliminates the need for a third-party user on transactions. It's like the reputation of bitcoin is bound to be famous but media played a significant factor on bitcoin's mass adoption and popularity. Unfortunately, it went both ways since bitcoin was portrayed as a medium for illegal acts (silk road and dark web) and as a revolutionary payment method.

Fortunately, the merits overwhelmingly outweighs all the negative effects of bitcoin, which quickly skyrocketed its price relatively faster than any investment. Since then, successful corporations and influencers have continuously bashed bitcoin as being a 'bubble' but it still remained dominant in the market despite all of which news circulated prejudicial to it.

Unfortunately, none of them was interested enough to absorb what I really wanted to say. However, when I started posting and sharing ads for some ICOs, some friends and even strangers started to ask me questions. It was not BITCOIN, but it's a start for them. Therefore, I think the social media platform is the best way to reach out to people and perhaps filter the ones who will potentially become crypto holders.

Nobody wants to buy because the price has been going down. It just started rising but most haven’t noticed. I’ve talked to family, friends , and coworkers. Many jumped on board, and a few that came early did well. But most people won’t spend money on it as it loses value.
I work on a college campus, and I talk to some of the computer science students about mining crypto. Many have looked unto mining, because they have the skills and it costs them nothing to mine in their dorm room.
I also like to drop seeds where ever I go. By seeds, I mean small slips of paper that have a few QR codes. I drop these everywhere I go. I think bars are the best areas, because they are filled with young computer literate people. Many find these slips, scan the codes, and follow the link to a variety of crypto sites. I commend the OP for going the extra mile to increase the number of bitcoin users. I have also tried spreading the advantages of cryptocurrency but only among my friends and family.
It really not works easily and can't make gains trust from the others specially when they heard bad news about ICO or from bitcoin alone.  They'll never wanting to understand it cause lack of interest and feels aren't applicable to them.  But I know that there is a time for them to realize and giving them time to discover how bitcoin will help us today and in the future.
One of the reasons many outsiders are not interested yet is because they see bad news about bitcoin and crypto, such as releated to MLM, ponzi, and scams. if you want to make them want to know about crypto, then convince them that cryptocurrency is a commodity and innovation that is worth to trying

To me, promoting it to friends, relatives has nothing to do with adoption. Adoption is possible by enabling those people to easily use and understand crypto. You offer them the products and it will be eventually adopted.
Lol don't you trust your relatives and friends capabilities to encouraged people around them? If every friends and relatives of us will do the lego effect of spreading the words of cryptocurrency does that have a big adoption in future?or in years to come?thats very untrue mate because. In this small way we can help alot for crypto

We be hardly getting new users if we only teach them or preach to them what is bitcoin etc. We need the word "show", yes, show the people how this technology can change speed of transactions, lessen the fees of transferring money to one another, make them feel more secure and so many ideas of how their daily lives can be easy the way it supposed to. Surely there are people who knows what is bitcoin but do not know how to utilize and sometimes don't trust the product, we must change these these perceptions and show it to them what it really is and can be.

At present all that need to be done is to accept bitcoin if we have got some form of business. In recent days most of the stores in my city has got more QR codes placed at the payment section. If we keep a simple tag with the QR code of bitcoin acceptance surely someone will request you to make payment or else someone will surely enquire in knowing much about it. If they get interested surely they'll make use of it, and this way can help with continued adoption.

People will not see the use of bitcoin without its big value. That's the reality here but we can actually make a move here. Promoting bitcoin in social media and simply accept bitcoin as a mode of payment if you have a store can give or contribute to the adoption of bitcoin in our world.

That is such good effort and learning about Cryptocurrency will really help a lot of people learn about something that is revolutionary. I first learned Cryptocurrency from my classmates then my Professor suddenly wanted the whole class to learn from it. We attended seminars about Blockchains and how it operates and it went well. Attending seminars and learning about Blockchain will really help people learn about Bitcoin because its one of the best adoption by Blockchain ever created.

People will not see the use of bitcoin without its big value.

But even before where bitcoin's value is only little , there are already people that bought bitcoin and they knew that bitcoin can be used for both asset and a currency use  . big value is infact the one that limits people to use thier bitcoin as a currency use because they think that their bitcoin is too valueable enough .

That's the reality here but we can actually make a move here. Promoting bitcoin in social media and simply accept bitcoin as a mode of payment if you have a store can give or contribute to the adoption of bitcoin in our world.

Promoting bitcoin on social medias ? Yes it can be done easily since not all social media sites are banning crypto related content but as long as you dont spam your promotions  .  but accepting bitcoin on your store would not be easy since not all people are aware about cryptos  .

I gave a speech in front of my class at college back in the days when it was at $100, I've talked about bitcoin to everyone I could and I shared my excitement with everyone in my life.

Most people seem to only care about price despite me talking about why bitcoin is better and why it's useful.

The truth is that mass adoption is an uphill battle. The ones currently in control are funded by the banks and the banks can generate as much cash as they want through fractional reserve banking. Eventually this is going to show up via inflation.

We need to play the long game.

We need to demonstrate the destructiveness of the inflation tax and for that we need to find some metrics that work. What would our money be worth if it wasn't for inflation?

Price is not the only factor. It used to take a lot more labor and capital to produce food than it does now and yet it's more expensive. Therefore if the value of the dollar and other fiat was stable the prices would be falling.

We need to show the world how getting the bankers and the money printers off our back would benefit everyone. We no longer need to pay a 3% tax on our money every year. This really disincentivises saving and I believe that people have the right to save money so they can start a business or own property.

How can someone start a business when the competitor is funded by banks that steal money from everyone else via an illegal tax?

Also we need to showcase that bitcoin is more environmentally friendly then the alternative. Bitcoin can provide funding for renewable electricity and the ability to convert electricity to money where there is excess electricity. Unlike banks, bitcoin itself doesn't have to operate large buildings. Bitcoin doesn't have to print costly anti-counterfeiting measures and bitcoin cannot be counterfeited either.

Going forward we need to promote bitcoin and its advantages whether the price is going up or it's going down.

We need to show the people a world in which our money isn't devalued by the bankers and a world where the banks don't own us.

The best thing we can do is spread the word with other people through various forms of media. A good place to start would be to get caught up on books and documentaries (see list (https://www.smartbitcoininvestments.com/bitcoin-documentary-list)) on the subject of Bitcoin, and become an evangelist. Through evangelism you can empower others with the knowledge and have them spread the gospel of Bitcoin as well.

Spreading a word about bitcoin will help bitcoin to be known by the people as a new way to make money.
But the hard thing we need to realize is people are not easy to believe something new especially in the technology which supporting to make money.
They still prefer to do the traditional way to make money, and they will not use bitcoin until they can see many people can get better life from bitcoin.
But we don't have to give up to introduce bitcoin to them, and we could let people choose what they want and never force them to believe something that they don't like.

What we need is for projects like https://www.blocpal.com (https://www.blocpal.com) to get the exposure that they deserve.

I feel like we need to help promote projects that encourage crypto adoption. That would be the first start.

The truth is we alone can help promote bitcoin for mass adoption. Its really painful so many of us just invest in bitcoin and then relax, waiting for price to pump so we cash out but then we really need to ask ourselves one question, how will price pump if there is no mass adoption. what will make the price increase as we desire if people don't adopt bitcoin for day to day use. We really need to step up our game and talk to people about the benefit of using bitcoin, let them see the advantages bitcoin has to offer to us all. If each and everyone of us talk to one person on a daily basis, then imagine the number of people we would have convinced about bitcoin by the end of the year.

Here is the problem, we are just thinking about the price of bitcoin and our profits and we want mass adoption so that the price will go up and we can sell our bitcoin after that to make a good profit. Thats just the wrong mentality and probably the reason why we are not moving to mass adoption at a fast pace. When you think about bitcoin as an investment, you will promote the same thing to your friends and you end up realizing everyone is here for profits and not for the real purpose of bitcoin.

Now in my country although it has not been adopted fully by the mass, but what I and some friends of mine have put in place is to make sure we establish a small cryptoschool on a WhatsApp platform which we teach people about cryptocurrency and also answer their questions. And since we started that people have been investing into cryptocurrency especially BTC and I think we have done our part .

Brighten the corner where you are, preach bitcoin, live bitcoin, love bitcoin, use bitcoin untill the whole world adopts it
I thought you are doing a fabulous job in evangelizing bitcoin but I hope you do more to educate the people u bring in because the crypto market is very volatile. I wish a 10 th of cryptocurrency enthusiasts where like you.. What we see now in my part of the world is people launching p2p escrow groups on whatsapp everyday and this groups tend to be filled with the same set of people...

The best thing we can do now days is to talk good things about bitcoin to our close fiends, i think thats the best way to make more people use it, the fist step is to make them interested on the coin, after that we have to show them how to use it, and then make transactions with them.

This is a question we really should ask ourselves everynow and then. What have we done to promote bitcoin mass adoption. We all crave to see bitcoin price spike beyond the height it reach but then most of us are just relaxed doing nothing to see this happen. We forget to realize bitcoin needs massive adoption which will surely affect the price in the best positive way. We should all take out time to educate people about btcoin from time to time as there are so many people across the globe who have heard about bitcoin but have no idea what its really about. Lets do our part and soon we will see bitcoin skyrocket.

Yes. And i think i am doing my part already. I used to share in my facebook account all about cryptocurrency and even in my family and friends, i usually make them aware that cryptocurrency is coming which is better than fiat currency. And so they started to ask me different questions that would end up educating them about blockchain technology.

I think crypto enthusiasts are doing well pertaining to awareness creation of Bitcoin and other crypto projects - the more reason why Bitcoin has survived all its tribulations all these years. Despite the efforts put in place, there are still more room to push forward although enthusiasts try to vouch for Bitcoin to their family and friends. I believe its high time we moved across to the picture, setting the public or mass as our targets. This can be done through the utilization of our social media outlets which some people have thousands or followers and readers.

I have particularly promoted Bitcoin in My Country through my friends who had no idea of how the technology worked, in fact I have reached more than 500 people through the telegram where everyone asks me about it, the main reason why I promote Bitcoin is because every day at least 1 person joins to know the bitcoin and all the Blockchain technology, that's why I know that when more people enter the market, Bitcoin will start to rise and continue to generate much more profitability, and world knowledge is getting bigger and bigger.

There are many who are already trading, have done courses in trading academies, I think that in some way, bitcoin connects to new horizons, where it escapes the reality that people live with a system dominated by governments and banks.

I intend to continue bringing many more people, not only enthusiastic but for my work as Appraiser Appraiser, I have brought many entrepreneurs who have a lot of money and have invested a lot in Bitcoin, have made millions in purchases, so I have no doubt that bitcoin will continue to grow in price.

True, but we should be patient to tell other people the way we promote bitcoin. Even if they dont interested we should explain to them the good about btc especially some advantages of bitcoin. But show some proof to make them belief so that they convince.

Advertising to many new People is the first step to promote bitcoin mass adoption.
Making those new People / Investors understand the basics of Bitcoin / Blockchain functionality, how good it is to have it in the real world (payment methods).
Which benefits come from using such cryptocurrency, how to exchange and so on.
Not going into deep informations as it might be confusing at start.

This is the best thing we can do. Imagine, even when each of us brings one Bitcoin investor to the market, BTC will be strengthened, and its price will grow greatly. The market cap will gain also!

During the past 7 years, I spoke to at least 200 people, hoping that at least some of them would get interested in crypto. About 3-4 people showed interest initially and they even started collecting Bitcoins from various giveaways and airdrops. But all of them quit the crypto domain within a few months, after getting bored (all this happened before the 2013 bull run). I was also disappointed, and stopped encouraging my friends to invest in cryptocurrency. Nowadays I don't talk about crypto to anyone... not even to my family members.
