After taking some time to check out the site you mentioned my reaction is that its total garbage.
I clicked on the section titled Bitcoin Discussion and there were at least 3 topics titled "Looking for a boyfriend!!! =*"
Looks like a spam infested junk board with little to no moderation and I dont see anywhere of advertisements of giving away .001 btc.

The mentioned site is his own site. Look at his post history, he did try to sell his site(forum) on February as you can read here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5109852.msg49735772#msg49735772 as archived https://archive.is/IdCes
About the giveaway, it is basically at the top of the forum under the forum's Logo. You need to download their android application in order to get the 0.001btc

I didnt check his post history and now that youve pointed that out it makes more sense now and even more of a reason to ignore this poster and not download the app.
For only .001 BTC, there is no way Im downloading a app to my phone that will probably require personal information and possible phishing attempts.
To top it off, the threads about looking for boyfriends and pharmacys were enough for me to leave the site fast.

0.001 Ethereum today, although the price has risen considerably, it is only $ 0.18. Instead, it makes more sense to join an airdrop or bounty. By the way, I never use any other forums for crypto talks. Bitcointalk is enough.

I don't believe in free btc or claiming btc too. You need to work and work for your money rather expecting free btc from faucet, ponzi or whatever. Doing bounty here based on your hard work can guarantee genuine bitcoin.

Thanks for highlighting this point, even if you do not mention his scam service, those who offer money for services that do not require effort is a true indicator of scam project. "No one gives you free money for nothing."

Also, do not download any file/app unless you verify it.

he spoke of 0.001 BTC, see:

where did you get those 0.001 ETH's? anyway, no one should take seriously what OP is offering

Instead, it makes more sense to join an airdrop or bounty.

just do not forget to do the proper research before joining any project, look at the number of scam cases we have per day:

The DTs seems fast for tagging this user and the community as well. And it looks like this user is very used in doing this kind of activity, like he's not amateur for this one

Also, do not download any file/app unless you verify it.
Thus, shouldn't be impulsive in clicking links that we see here specifically if it looks suspicious.

Doing bounty here based on your hard work can guarantee genuine bitcoin.
Nah, you can't be paid bitcoin in bounty unless you sell it off your bounty token and yet I doubt it will have a genuine value.

Sometimes you just have to laugh at all these posters. I mean,,, I totally understand where bounty hunting comes from. I have colleagues who would consider $20 a week a lot of money, especially if they can send it back home as extra income and what not,,, but these guys would at least put in proper effort.

To point out also however, you are wrong about not being paid bitcoin in bounty. 90% of bounties are not in bitcoin but there are still plenty of bitcoin only bounty activities.

Newbie members shilling has become very obvious and common around here recently, makes sense that they're starting to get tagged quickly.

As for downloading an application to get paid, don't do it. There is most likely a virus in the Android application you're supposed to download for the 0.001BTC, and a few dollars is not worth the hassle of having to remove a virus from your phone.

Also, if you're trying to participate in any bounties, make sure the bounty campaign's being managed by someone reputable. You might get scammed by a newer campaign manager, but things can still occasionally go wrong with an older campaign manager (chances are lower though).

I've noticed that one too and this is nothing new but now they are getting rampant with having new ways on spreading out malwares by indirectly tagging out some payouts on downloading such thing.
Lucky that most community members are wise enough not to fall with these obvious modus or attempts.Answering op question i dont bother to get involved with those bounties even they are legit and paying up some dust but still a worthy thing to be tried for those people who do seek micro earnings.
