Title: Are the back doors in x86 cus an issue?

I'm not talking about spectre here but rather Intels management engine and amds similar version.

People aren't sure as to what these are for and the nsa apparently bought chips "without the ime" from Intel. There are also people who have gone to quite great lengths to disable these chips using a breadboard and a raspberry pi.

I'm wondering if this is an issue with bitcoin being stored on computers which don't use a multisig with different architectures and it's also a much wider issue for everyone as it brings concerns of security and privacy intrusion. Has anyone gone to the lengths of actually disabling these chips or has anyone worked out what they actually do?
