When you got into Bitcoin and Blockchain in general, it wasn't just a coincidence. Given how popular cryptocurrencies have become, most people have adopted them at a large scale. Which is why, joining this endless journey into Blockchain must've been for a good reason.

As for me, I was hesitant to join this revolutionary trend largely in part because I thought that it was a scam. After a few years later, I'm now enlightened and know the true power of Blockchain. It is that power that has motivated me to keep going on this wonderful journey, despite the ups and downs of crypto. I believe that it will transform our economy in many ways where we won't need to deal with physical hard cash anymore.

Nonetheless, what was your real motivation to get into Bitcoin and Blockchain in general? :)

i had my poker bankroll seized when pokerstars and full tilt were taken down back in 2011. after that, i struggled with dodgy poker sites for months but they were never reliably able to pay out my winnings. checks would bounce, wires would be delayed etc. i stumbled onto a site called "seals with clubs" in 2012 and put a few bucks into bitcoins so i could play. there wasn't enough action there to justify spending much time, but when the 2013 bubble took off i remembered i had some coins and began to watch the charts. then i started trading crypto and never looked back.

My first motivation when entering the world of Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency is;

• Economy. Starting from the invitation of my friend who has long been in the world of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin can successfully change the economy.
• Curious. I am very curious about this new technology.

I also have the same though when I first found out about it but when I try it out from the faucet and some paying apps I found out that it is true ,
Back then I don't think that something that only exist in the internet would really be that expensive .
I just trust it when I receive my first Bits and try to buy something from it and since I didn't have any problem I started to try anything just to earn more BTC .

The things that motivate me into bitcoin and blockchain in general is to make our daily easy and have every transactions smooth. On the other hand I also think my family and my own goals and dreams to make every bitcoin work activity motivated and do this well. And I think it is brings me so much excitement in terms of innovation about technology.

my motivation was the profits. I'll tell you how it all happened:

I had made some investments that after a few years they ran away with my money and I lost money. I did not know what to invest in, it was when I started to do research on how to make money on the internet that I discovered about bitcoin and this forum. From that moment I started to buy bitcoins, I sold many things that I had and bought bitcoins. Unfortunately in my early days in this crypto world, I had a lot of losses because I bought many shitcoins in yobit

I got myself into BTC and crypto in general through an online forum, later got Stellar airdrop (It was easiest money), converted it into BTC and made my first ever BTC (albeit later I converted it into fiat). Learned few things then joined Steemit in 2016, been hooked to crypto ever since.

Money and no identification are by far biggest motivations.

Pretty much like yours. I strongly dislike lack of progress and innovation.

A lot of people dislike change, but when it's change to go forward i embrace it. Hopefully in the future i will be able to help with that path forward like i feel i really need to do.

Cash is outdated, is just that simple.

The higly volatility in terms of its liquidity. There is no other way to think like using its real purpose of having a p2p transaction for it has only limited options for now knowing that only few of the company acknowledge bitcoin system and it is from around the world. So,.meaning in our local area one may not.found or noti e a company that will accept bitcoin. This is why I am.not joining because of its purpose or use but because of its highly volatility market price.

Bitcoin for me is like money tree where you put your money, leave it there and then harvest when it is needed or when you can earn it already.

Most of us became hesitant when we first heard about it. I started trusting bitcoin when I was able to invest and made some money out of it. It came to my mind that this innovation can change how we transact daily, it can bring ease and convinience for users and merchants. It can save time, resources, and at the same time can bring a lot of opportunities.

I guess that is one of the main reason why some people stopped supporting banks and wanted a cashless society. Decentralization is also one of the features why cryptocurrency is loved by a lot of people. Transacting a huge amount of money while being anonymous or without disclosing critical details about your identity makes user feel secured. This goes along with accessibility of funds, which may take more time if you are using banks.

Anytime such a question pops up it reminds me of when i was introduced to the crypto community back in 2014 but my friend could not explain things well to me so i thought it would be a waste of my precious time. I have missed two all time highs in the crypto space in 2014 and 2017. I am not missing it this time around that is why i have invested all my time and energy in the industry so that i can retire from official duties early in life when the crypto bull run comes again. 8)

In my first time to join in bitcoin, I never thought that bitcoin could be like today. I was only collecting more and more Satoshi in many ways without thinking about the price. But suddenly, in 2016, I see that many coins have increased so high and I got amazed and think that what I did before was the right decision.
So I start to sell some of my coins at the exchange, and yes, I am happy that I can make real money. And from that time, I start with seriously to collect more Satoshi so I can sell at a higher price. And the top price I can get is when the bitcoin is increasing at almost $20k in 2017.
And now, I still trying to collecting more and more and I don't want to give up because I still have more times to do that.

It was a coincidence for me, the thing that got me into bitcoin is gambling. I was a very active online poker players long time ago. I found a poker site called as K88 if I remember it correctly, the site offered so many freeroll tournaments that made me interested to join. I played my first tournament and I won some mBtc (I did not know what is mBtc) at that time. So I decided to learn about it and finally I continue to learn about bitcoin and crypto until this day.

At first i thought it was the desire to escape the rat race called poverty by investing in a technology that defer all odds that its success will give me riches but as I grow stronger into the industry I realized my motivation was not really about the money but the zeal to be part of history. To be among the few that had the courage to support a technology as great as bitcoin in return caving a name for myself in my geographical location and hopefully my continent. Looking at bitcoin it looks to legit to fail so i  see no reason why anyone won't be motivated to join the community.

The decentralized and pseudonymous nature of bitcoin was very attractive, as well as the idea that diversification is needed for investing. The idea that assets can be digital and stored on a computer was also very attractive.

I started with Bitcoin after I was a victim of credit card fraud. I lost a significant amount of money, because my credit card details were used to purchase things online, without my consent.  >:(   I then started to research about alternative payment options, looking for something that would be safe to use for ecommerce.

Bitcoin was the best payment option, because your payments are done without your information being stored on the sites, where you made your payments. <Nobody can hack the site and steal your information to use it on other sites>  ;D

The idea of being a part of the future, being part of a technology that will influence the whole world in the future makes Bitcoin very important. But I think people are generally seen as an opportunity to make money. This brings volatility in the market. The rapid rise of the price and the rapid decline are also an indication of this ...

For me, it was just curiosity at first. And of course, the returns I can get from it. I started during that time I was looking for an online part-time job. I stumbled into the cryptocurrency market and, good for me, there was someone in my peer circle that knows about it too. That person basically mentored me on the ins and outs of the market, and he surely helped me find my way in this giant maze of a market. As they say, the rest is history. Little by little, I got hooked into it and learned the things I need by myself, and as I immersed on it more and more, I came to see how advantageous it can get and the positive things it can give me.

At first I also tought this was a shady scheme, but as people spoke to me about it I started to get curious... and curious... and then I took a dive and start learning about it... and I saw the potential and possibilities of blockchain development and use... this is indeed the first thing I've seen in my life that trully has the power to change our society and help us to evolve to a different level...
Together we can really change the world... people just have to forget their endless love for money and start looking at things with a different view.

I have big motivated why have joined bitcoin and blockhcain because more profitable invest money in bitcoin or altcoin than we have invest at other investment ways, where needed much money for investment and lower profit.

well, bank card transactions are easy as well.. I guess most of us are involved into crypto by its price fluctuations..

As for me these were the following reasons :-

 * Employment through signature campaigns
 * The well established network so that you can actually do 
  transactions with people around the world
 * High profit over a short period of time
 * Real freedom over your money
 * Curiosity
 * Discovering trading
 * Over the counter money investment
 * Easy transactions without much paperwork

Initially it was the possibility to make some tiny amount of money in my spear time, nothing more.
Back in the day I was mostly in to faucets, I have accidentally stumbled upon one of those adds filled websites and it just got me interested. Later on I realised what bitcoin is all about, I followed the breadcrumbs to reach the original Satoshi's posts and whitepaper.
Then is became clear, how outstanding and revolutionary the idea was and how important for my own sake.   

To say frankly, all people who participate in bitcoin as well as cryptocurrency have the common motivation, that is making benefits i guess so. For me, apart from making profits in this fields, i was really impressed by the fast development of bitcoin. We can earn income but not all the time, especially it has attached risk and loss. A variety of people all over the world, however, keep an eye on it. Bitcoin is powerful, potential and really interesting. Because i am much fond of it, i can't get rid of it even how anothers talk bad word on it  ;D ;D

My main Motivation to get in bitcoin is to get rid of my bad debts and i have done it through bitcoin and other investment in other projects and now i am financially free from all bad debts. Not only that it has given me lot of opportunities to explore my abilities and earn online through secure way. Apart from that it is a very good investment for long term which will give a good returns.

In my country there was a ponzi scheme(MMM) which was run by a Russian that defrauded many of our country men and women, unfortunately i was involved on the scam with over $2500 in equivalent to my local currency. From my dissertation period i was then, a good friend of mine introduced Bitcointalk.org to me.

After some time i felt discourage but little effort put together, i was able to make some trade online that give me more than the said amount that was scammed from me. Bitcoin and Blockchain are the best investment, first learn how they work together before pursing the money.

That time when bitcoin wasn't that popular that's when I joined cryptocurrency. I guess what motivates me is my urge in earning money. Since, I saw my cousin having a lot of money, I told him to teach me how did he get a lot of money that time. At first, he does not want me to get involve in this forum but I try and try until he decided to. So he teaches me how to do bounty in this forum and I learned. As I dig deeper, I learned that we can invest in bitcoin and I told my brother that is working to invest at least spare money in bitcoin and he does.

     I went into the crypto market and started buying Bitcoin to make some money. I had a friend who made some money, using the investments in crypto.
Also, the crypto market has become a passion, so it is an opportunity to make friends with common passions.
   
     The crypto market also provides us with a lot of free information that can help us in daily life.

in general, of course the benefits are a motivation in joining this technology. yeah, but it's not as easy as it seems. we know that this is like real work. need the right strategy to produce profit. well, but because of that, I learned a lot from bitcoin and blockchain.

Blockchain technology is a revolutionary that has now begun to be applied to many sectors. Smart technologies like Blockchain have many advantages and this cannot be denied. As time progressed, Blockchain was needed and I had begun to realize it when I knew Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the first digital currency to apply the Blockchain system. I am very optimistic that the future will be so bright because the application of Blockhain is a cleverness that facilitates our life to be much simpler and safer.

That is a pretty cool motivational story in fact that is worth sharing. Stories about people losing money are all over the crypto fame, now someone who holding can get rid of bad debts is something that is really interesting and i congratulate you if it's worth something, self-improvement is a really powerful thing i believe.

In my case i strongly believe in the Technology and it's possibilities for the future. For me it's about: how can you help change the world for the better while you're here?

Besides an opportunity to increase my wealth I have been motivated by the power of the underlying technology of cryptocurrencies. There is no limit on where, when and how to use blockchain, smart contracts, etc.  It is a revolutionary paradigm shifting technology indeed and I am almost all-in on it.

My journey started because a friend got excited about the idea of money that is purely digital, free from governmental control, unfakeable, untraceable to a specific person and stuff like that. He talked about Austrian school of economics and how Bitcoin implemented these ideas. It was also kind of fun that one could gain some of this special money from faucets and signature campaigns. At that point it was not much of a job, more of an experiment. Then it became mainly driven by the salaries, but after som time I learned to value and appreciate the features and ideas even more.

Seeing good opportunities to ride with the flow, most of us surely wanted to have some good chance to take advantage of its moving value,
it's motivating both newbies and skill traders to look for ways to grab or earned decent profits.

What motivated towards blockchain was when my project supervisor gave me a research on blockchain technology, although have heard of it couple of times before then but the task that was given to me enlightened me more about it. The research opened my eye to lot of things about blockchain which am now utilizing in my day to day activities. Although I still have lot to fully understand and am happy with what have gained so far.

A 2014 meme and an utter boredom on the monotonous life that I have been living back then, waiting from paycheck-to-paycheck. When I first saw that Dorian Nakamoto meme in 2014 regarding bitcoin, I was curious to see what it is, and have found out that it's something that can be used to buy stuff online, or the "magic internet money" as what I regarded it back then. Oddly so, a discussion that explains how it works led me to here, and have made my account after being satisfied with the information I gathered, Little by little, I learned about how bitcoin works and how it could potentially help me in the future and so I'm here.

I'm motivated by my male cousin to get into Bitcoin and Blockchain, I've seen changes that occur in his life before and after entering Bitcoin. before he entered Bitcoin and focused here, he only burdened his parents, lazing and becoming unemployed. but after getting to know Bitcoin he became independent, his style of speech and his way of thinking changed, that motivated me to change like him and focus on Bitcoin...

My acquintance introduced me to this kind pf technology. He showed me how he uses bitcoin and it was great to know how far this blockchain technology is leading. I was curious at first, then I was motivated later on. Since then, I discovered that it can really change our lives and also can be a big change in country's economical status.

I jumped into crypto world in July 2017, after hearing too much about the crypto bull run and since then I am into it. The main reason for joining the crypto world is to do long term investment as I am convinced that BTC has ATH of more than 20k USD yet to be achieved.

Motivation for me is as follows:
1. See real evidence of many friends who are successful with Bitcoin
2. The prediction of bitcoin price increases in the future
3. The process of getting bitcoin is very easy and doesn't take a lot of time

Well as for my experience,what motivates me is the progress of my cousin who joined crypto 3 years before me,now he is a full time crypto trader and gaining more than enough to feed and support the family and with a good amount under he’s pocket

In the beginning I didn't think that bitcoin is something serious.
Very soon I realized that I'm wrong.
Bitcoin is great alternative to traditional money and financing.
It's great idea and vision how to get rid from the banks and regular 9to 5 jobs and to achieve financial freedom.

People who are being successful with Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general makes me motivate to get into Bitcoin and Blockchain technology. People are posting articles about how it could possibly change our fortune or even give us financial freedom in the future due to it's potential. I also discovered that Bitcoin is accepted by some  merchants online and it is more convenient to use it compared to fiat money due to fast and secure transactions.

I am motivated because
1. profitable investing in bitcoin and cryptocurrency
2. I can buy goods from abroad without a credit card
3. I have new friends in the telegram community and also in this forum

During 2017 boom i saw my sister make a fortune out of bitcion, i invested a little in one coin called Arbitraging i made some immediate profit out of it, since then i have been on and on into bitcoin and blockchain investment, to crown it all bitcointalk forum has been the highest motivation that has not only encouraged me but has kept me going especially during this long bearish market.

The potential of bitcoin to become a widely used payment method motivates me to get into bitcoin and blockchain on which this technology can possibly help everyone to improve the financial status in life. Also, the bitcoin can offers us a fast and secure transaction wherever we are that suites to the needs of our community.

One reason why i got motivated in using Bitcoin is because back 2015 the dice sites are very generous in there faucet. Well that is because the value of Bitcoin before is at 3 digits. If someone can remember dadice.com here where you just need to level up your account by wagering for half a day and youll get lots of satoshi to gamble and aim for 1 percent chance to hit the 100k satoshi with a lot of chance from the faucet only. I am making .1BTC -.3BTC using the faucet many times within a week before.

I was impressed by this technology since its more transparent than the existing fiat and monetary system. Not only by financial technology contribution but I believe this technology will change the future of every existing industries.

I made the same mistake as you, and i cannot express how much i have regretted it. Only by 2013 i started learning about crypto, but not deeply enough to commit what little i had (which then i had to use for something else, sealing my destiny...)

Now i have the knowledge, but not the capital. And the country became bankrupt. Its not the same when you know you can work to recover, than knowing you can't recover even if you work... But this is hard to explain. If only i had made the right choice in the past, at this point i would be living elsewhere on this planet. But now I'm trapped here with little hope to escape.

The day i got into bitcoin is when I went up and search for ways earning money online as a student,yeah im a broke student before i met bitcoin.Ive read an article and watch few videos of people using faucets to earn bitcoin back in the days when faucets are still paying good.That what motivates me when i get my first pay way back 2016

We were on the same boat actually because that was also the reason why  i discovered bitcoin and i found out that bitcoin is a crypto and crypto works under the blockchain system .  all of us didnt know the importance of blockchain until they started using a crypto therfor we must also give credits to the blockchain technology because without blockchain tech.  Cryptocurrency wont also be possible   and of course we must not also forget this forum ( bitcointalk )  because this forum is the first website to spread crypto and blockchain information  .

Initial motivation is money. It is easy to earn money from different gigs that pays bitcoin or altcoins. Later on, as I go deeper into bitcoin I began to appreciate the technology. That is what keeps me into bitcoin. I want to see where this technology will be heading in the future. 

I heard about bitcoin very long time ago. But I had to go a long way enough for me to understand that Bitcoin is what I need. I have long believed in earnings on the Internet, earning PayPal. But once I was hacked. And then I found Bitcoin. I like him because of its anonymity, decentralization, and security.

The things that make me motivated to get into bitcoin and blockchain general is because of my friends who have been investing and trading in cryptocurrency for more than 2 years. Here, I learned from them to earn good profit by buying and mining bitcoin. Lol. Having profit as your main motivation can be real dangerous you know. Most of the people who lost a lot during the 2018 bear market entered because of that reason. No research, no study, just the expectation of making quick profit. Go for the long term use bro. Profit will naturally come when btc adoptions is underway.

Honestly speaking, it were the mad price movements that made me interested in Bitcoin. I bought my first coins not knowing why I couldn't move them when they popped up in my wallet. I had no clue about what confirmations were at that point.

It took me like a week to finally understand that miners are responsible for picking up transactions to have them be confirmed. That's also when I started investing money in cloud mining, and yes, I never managed to make a profit.

It's safe to say that bull cycles are the main reason for most people to know about crypto, because let's be honest here, if the price doesn't pump, there is no reason for the mainstream media to actually cover it. All they care about is sensation.

Yes. I also like the idea of having its anonymous user and its decentralization it brings. No other currency can give us the utmost advantage except for bitcoin and its blockchain technology. I really think bitcoin was a scam because it's what most of the people are saying but when i got to know it more deeply, i was totally amazed with its potentials. The fact that i get huge profits from my bitcoin investments and the convenience it brings everytime there is money transactions have made me more motivated to get into bitcoin.

Not sure why people will lose money if the bull will show up? most of the time when the market turned into green its indicates that most of people are gaining huge, that's why a lots of spectators are waiting for the bull to come in, maybe you are talking about those fomo's who didn't bother to study
before taking any investment inside, they will lose because of lack of information and knowledge.

Actually, before I entered the world of Bitcoin, I had jumped into the business world on the internet, namely the affiliate business. But because of seeing the potential generated from Bitcoin, then switching from affiliate to Bitcoiner. My own motivation is to become a bitcoiner, of course, just to increase capital to trade.

In my case, having a bank account needed many requirements ... I was entering this world because it was easy to create an account and start participating ... I realized that I could have money and nobody could take it away from me! (unlike banks), I could also send money (without intermediaries) anywhere in the world at any time, with very low fees and fast (banks were slow and very expensive, especially an international transaction or another country). .. later I was knowing more things, all that was introduced to me in this crypto

Money and to be fair I'm sure what got most people involved was money too, profit, speculation. I got involved during the first bull run of 2013 when Bitcoin jumped to 1200$ and I thought it was the easiest way to make money at the time, later it crashed and I lost some money but I stayed involved in it and eventually found out how many other things the blockchain and cryptos are able to do.

My uncle is one of the richest relatives that we had in our family and sometimes I ask him why he is rich. He did say that he do bitcoin trading, Since then I always search about bitcoin and blockchain pop up and I also read it. I find it interesting so here I am. I can trade some alternative coins and also bitcoin.

At first i'm curious about bitcoin that my neighbor told me that's why i started to do research about it. Then after i found out how bitcoin help people to gain profit and to have an investment that will motivate me to enter in crypto world. It help those jobless people like me.

I choose blockchain since it gives me the full control over my asset. The need for third trusted party is no longer needed. You can also be anonymous on having assets. Knowing that the community is ever growing, it gives me hope that coins has really big potential in the future. The crypto currency future is just really bright.

Gains. I didn't even like Bitcoin back when I first entered the crypto world, and the whole idea behind it was even less of a thing for me. I only used Bitcoin as a way to get my BTC-E account topped up with fiat to buy Litecoin, which at that point was my favorite coin.

After that I rekt myself brutally by investing in the worst possible shitcoins, and that's when I slowly started to become a Bitcoin maximalist. I didn't think Bitcoin was anything special because of how slow it was compared to some of the other coins, but that's something every newbie seems to go through at first. I have seen how way more shitcoiners turned into Bitcoin maximalists, and that for a good reason. It's the one and only superior coin.

As for the blockchain in general part, it's pure shit. I have never seen such an empty industry be able to generate this much hype. The main innovation is Bitcoin and other cryptos using a decentralized ledger. Everything else that's centralized doesn't need a blockchain. Databases work way better.

The real motivation for my entry into the world of btc and blockchain is profit
But as I passed I had other goals and interests besides profit
I was astounded  by the idea of financial freedom and the escape of bank control.
