Title: Signature posters Union
Post by: Teamsters Internet SEctor on April 13, 2019, 04:04:04 PM
It has come to my attention that posters here are being paid fairly in all signature campaigns, Would you guys be interested in forming a signatures union that doesn't work for low wages?

I don't think we need a union for this, as it totally depends on the users if he/she wants to apply for a lower paying campaign or not. It makes no sense to force projects to pay more if they can't afford it.

I think Unions in general have good intentions in the beginning, but in long term they are not beneficial.

In this case, signature posters are not actually workers, and we have no "rights", other than being paid for what we posted.

A "low wage" is highly controversial, as most of signature posters are also spammers who doesn't think even for a minute before posting.

In my opinion, being paid to post is a benefit not a job.

What you could do is to try to find managers who are scammers, so posters don't waste their time in fake campaigns. But there are many users already doing that, mostly for merits.

I don't recommend about the creation of a union for low paying wages. There are campaigns out there that use their personal money to fund their campaign and it is on the discretion of the user if they want to join a low-paying signature campaign or not.

Like what Hacker said, no one is forced to participate in a low-paying signature. The creation of a union would only bring harm than good as there can never be a "standard" payment in campaign signatures.

This is a global forum  and What you consider as a low wage in one country might be decent wage in other country.

Stop feeding trolls. This guy and both Big Boobies talkinDoubleD and Nigerian CocoPalm Farmer are probably the same user.

If you want to waste your time and start a Union then go on then, but Meta isn't the place to do it.
