Title: Bitcoin.Black small portions of its whitepaper is plagiarized
Post by: qwertyup23 on April 16, 2019, 03:21:44 PM
While browsing through the ANN thread, I encountered Bitcoin.black and checked its webiste, whitepaper, and team to validate if it is real or not. After scrolling through the whitepaper, I saw that they plagiarized some of their contents of NANO COIN. Below are the evidences that will support my allegation:

BITCOIN.BLACK PROMOTION:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5132516.0
BITCOIN.BLACK WHITEPAPER:https://16pfmdgkdky4f7xnwpo6to37-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/Bitcoin-Black-Whitepaper-2.0.pdf
BITCOIN.BLACK WEBSITE:       https://bitcoinblack.net/
WEBSITES THAT BITCOIN.BLACK PLAGIARIZED:
  • https://coincentral.com/nano-beginners-guide/
  • https://coinswitch.co/info/nano/what-is-nano
  • https://coincentral.com/nano-beginners-guide/

These are the parts that BITCOIN.BLACK plagiarized and removed NANO from their paper:

Lastly, when you visit the BITCOIN.BLACK's website and check their TEAM, you will be directed to the community who follows the project and not to the actual team:

Hello OP,  If that is the only plagiarized content that you found on their whitepaper, their team can fix it. That is a very very small percentage of the 29 pages paper.

About the "fake team member"- the link is to their community as you can read the word "community" in the link. The team can fix that by replacing the word "team" for "community" - it could be a mistake.
Also, we dont expect a project to have 934 team members.

Maybe you should contact the team and ask them for the profile of the team, pictures, etc.. And let them know the current situation of their links, whitepaper, etc by referring to your post/thread.  And dont forget to archive your evidence (their website, whitepaper, ANN, etc). Here are some good websites to archive:  https://archive.is  and  http://web.archive.org

<snip..>

Thank you for the heads-up! That is actually true that there are some parts on their paper that are plagiarized but only a small-portion of the total 29 pages.
I will message them and call their attention in order to sort-out their perhaps unintentional mistake. Will try to do a better job next time!
