Title: Shopping Products using Alt Coins? Do you have an experience?
Post by: abbccoin on April 17, 2019, 11:36:59 AM
Is there anyone who has tried purchasing Products using Alt coins? So what do you think if crypto is fully available to shop products from websites and retail stores? Do you think the existing e-commerce platforms will be interested in adapting the crypto as a payment method?

Nope there is no such shopping experience in the crypto market, maybe the retail shop owners who knows the power of altcoins may accept if you personally requested to accept the payment via alts. I have heard that bitcoin has been accepted with the dealers who deals the crypto based products on Ebay.

Please check the reputation of the site before you wishes to deal with them by bitcoin or altcoins.

Currently in my country there are no sites that support Crypto payments, but some international websites accept it. So I often shop on some online commercial websites and accept a shipping fee for foreign private orders. But online shopping and Bitcoin payments make me excited and ignore the high cost of this service.

I believe that large retail chains are waiting for the decision of the government authorities regarding the cryptocurrency and their taxation. Although I know several online stores where you can pay for cryptocurrencies now, but I bought only inexpensive things, because I don’t want to spend cryptocurrency, I try to increase the volume of coins on my wallets.

I saw on the forum a couple of sites where you can buy electronics and other goods for cryptocurrency.
I myself have never bought goods for altcoins and so far I do not see the point in this.

Of course, there are many people who at least once bought something on the Internet using crypto currency. I bought a couple of times in the online store electronics, SSD drive and some small accessories. The fact is that thanks to services such as BitPay, a business can easily use cryptocurrency without losing money due to volatility, so I believe that business will continue to integrate cryptocurrency.

I did it, but as a seller, in my own community. if you want to create a website about online platform, it's better there is an indicator machine that converts from dollars to altcoins, so sellers don't bother to upgrade prices based on the altcoin price on the market. The machine will automatically upgrade the price we have made according to the altcoin price movement on the market.
For example I want to sell clothes for $ 100 at the time per 1 BTC for $ 5000, then the price installed on my sales homepage will be written at a price of 0.02 BTC. but when the price per 1 BTC goes up to $ 10000, then the price attached to my sales tag will be written at a price of 0.01 BTC, so the conversion engine always updates according to the altcoin price in the market. It is also beneficial for buyers, because if there is a price change in the altcoin, they will not feel cheated

I love crypto but as a seller Ive found it much easier to just accept credit cards, that gives people a way to spend money they dont have which means they will buy more lol.

Honestly, I have never done that because it is still very difficult to find a shopping place that accepts bitcoin or altcoin in my country, but hopefully it will be available soon.

I think here we need to think about the legislation of the countries. This is a very complex process. I mean paying taxes. Of course, the underground shops are already accepting cryptocurrency. But I think that a regular store will not be able to switch to a payment system using cryptocurrency soon.

Shopping with altcoin on ecommerce still very risky, if they providing you escrow service, then you can do safe purchase.
Many hosting and tech product company allow altcoin, those are safe. But before purchase you must check review.

There are probably people who accept altcoins as payments whenever they sell something online. But I haven't heard any big companies that accept altcoins as payment because bitcoin and cryptocurrency are still being introduced to most of them and is not popular.

That wasn't true when you wrote your post here, and it's not true now.  It'll probably never be true.

I tried finding places to spend Dash last year, and I could count the number of merchants accepting it without using up all of my fingers.  And Dash is one of the more mainstream coins, is it not?  It's also very useful as a currency since the transaction times are lightning-fast and fees are extremely low.  But does it get used as a currency?  Nope.

I have seen some retailers taking litecoin and ETH, but there aren't many and all of the ones I've seen mainly accept bitcoin.  I don't think there's a business in existence that only accepts altcoins.  It would be fantastic to see such a thing, but I doubt it's going to happen in my lifetime.  It's such a shame that the main use of altcoins is trading.  If that's all they're ever going to be used for, I can't imagine most of them surviving all that long.  People will lose interest, especially as more and more get created.

Shopping will not be possible with the altcoins I believe.

Since I know there are many online buying sites to make the products with the bitcoins and altcoins. The best one I know is in e-commerce purchase is purse.io

In this site you can access the amazon.com and make the purchase with bitcoins easily. Even you can get the some percentage offers.

For existing e-commerce platform?Adopting crypto would be still on neutral phase because they do know about cryptos volatility and possible fee rates.

This is why we haven't seen any big e-commerce sites do adopt but its possible if a seller do directly offer such payment option.

Frankly, I didn't have coz the fee is too expensive. Otherwise, I'd love to buy something with xrp.

At this moment, a huge number of sites or the store will take your crypto money for payment. Now, this method of payment is not surprising - my bank accepts some cryptocurrency. I think the process is not moving as fast as it would like - but it goes. In the future, companies without the possibility of paying cryptocurrency will be left behind competitors.

Not at the moment and I guess there only few sites that offers altcoin to be a purchasing currency or maybe there’s nothing available yet?

But this will be a good move for some crypto enthusiasts to open such offerings because we all know that in future altcoins will be the next big thing specially when all the bitcoin has been mined and will Ben harder to owned

Though I don’t really sure about this but I’m looking forward to have one, since I only use bitcoin now to pay for bills and some online stuff with limited access

I think today it will not be claimed. The exchange rate is constantly changing and very significantly. Today you can buy products for $ 100, and tomorrow these same coins will rise in price by 100% (for example)

There is a coin in our country that is growing till now. The loyal coin or lyl. I bought 130K of it last year because it has been available in purchasing goods and products in some mall in Manila. However, I am currently in the province and I think I can't use it. For the mean time, I sold my lyl coins. I wish I could experience also to buy products using my altcoin or bitcoin.

This think will make cryptocurrencies are not feasible to be use as payment system. I just thought that regulation who made for cryptocurrencies to be use as payment system will make its price goes up drastically but I don't understand when regulation is allowing to do that but the user of cryptocurrency just use it as an asset only which can make them got wealth from it. It will be good if we use cryptocurrencies as payment system or we use it as an asset simultaneously, at least it will make newcomers not hesitate to use that.

I personally have never had the experience of buying items using altkoin because it is currently very difficult to find traders who use altkoin services, but I am sure that someday in many countries it will instill a trading system using the blockchain system slowly.

Some products and stores have used Bitcoin / altcoin as their payment method, but to be honest I personally haven't experienced this.

I've bought and sold some video game items on various internet forums, sellers really like to deal with crypto since they don't have the issue of having people chargeback with paypal payments.
