Since we are all here to learn things about cryptocurrencies and to share ideas with each other on a way to increase our knowledge and revenues on how cryptocurrencies market work and how to make money from it, I think it is very important we understand some basic things about how the cryptocurrencies market works and where and how to rendering services for money,  selling products and trading coins in an exchange platforms as a newbies in this forum.

Remembering the good old days when im just starting up to trade, not here on crypto but with forex.

I started up with babypips (https://www.babypips.com/learn/forex) and finishing up the course.It do involves all trading lessons and mostly
heavily focused on technical aspects but these subjects would really be sufficient to learn up trading.

I used to trade a lot back in 2017 and would say its definitly nothing for newbies. Emotions will melt your trading budget instantly. What helped me was paper trading.

I "traded" coins for about a month only on paper, wrote down entry points, stopp losses and take profits and sticked to them without investing real money. This definitly helps you to get a feeling of the market and to plan your trades wisely!

Does this still works even with low volatility?

I find it hard to make profits now with trading since the last dump. Most of the time I just imagine trading and doesnt really do an order. Afterwards, monitor it and try to see if there will be profits with what I imagined. Profits are just cents and it will not be worth the time and effort.

Yes, you are right, and I agree with you. We should have a skillful in trading, and if we feel that we don't have those skills, then we need to learn and never stop before we can master the skills. I am sure that every people can be a master in trading, but it depends on how he can learn more about trading and how hard he will learn.
We have a chance to make a lot of money from cryptocurrency especially in trading, but we need to have skills to trade so we could be able to make a profit.

Learning and practice as much as possible, that's the key to be successful trader. Although I'm not interested to be full time trader, but I keep on learning although I do not practice to much.
Skillful alone is not enough to make profit in trading imho, as the result will always based on how the market goes by. We need the skills to predict, but we also need the skills to prepare something unexpected.

It still works and trading do work every time.  I will like to said that if you are a skillful investors or trader you can keep making money from the market because investments or trading opportunity exist every day and every time. We have many day traders that preferred the volatility of the market to remain low.

Ok, so the only reason you say the current price is low is because of the all time high being $20,000? Doesn't make much sense at all, especially with how little time we actually spent around the peak. It was a hype driven peak that in no shape or form reflected the actual fundamentals, and that right is more or less what we are left with now the hype is over.

From a TA standpoint, the price is quite overbought and a correction is looming. There are some things that keep the bulls thriving for now, so we'll have to see how this plays out, but purely based on the probability of a profitable trade, it makes more sense to be short than long right now.

And after that, the last thing that we should do is practice what we learn. Only by that, we will be able to make a profit, and with support of luck, we will make a bigger profit especially if we are in the middle of the bullish, I am sure that the profit will bigger.
And don't forget to prevent the big lose by analyze the chart and try to make the maximum profit as we can. If we cannot get the maximum profit, then we still have the other days so don't be sad.

Useful information for a newbie aspiring to become a full time trader, but you should have highlighted the risks and disadvantages which outweigh the advantages when it comes to trading in such a volatile market.

There were multiple ways of making it big during the 2017 bull run and trading was just one of those ways. Signature campaigns like Pearl were more effective in this regard.

Everything will work, you will still make a profit even though the increase is not that high.


Profit will be low if you are trading with a low amount try trading with a large amount then your profit from trading will not be cents anymore.

The sites you mentioned are really good to learn technical analysis and to learn the basic fundamentals candlesticks and other properties of charts and graphs.
But I don't think that it will be much useful to carry out profitable trades on cryptocurrencies. It might be useful to analyse the historic price of various cryptocurrencies but it won't be useful in predicting the prices of crypto.
In fact the crypto market is not meant for predictions at all since it is purely based on the demand and supply at that point of time.
Anyway, it is still useful in analysing the current market conditions so newbie traders should definitely go through these once before they start trading crypto.

A little bit off topic, I just want to answer Johnzky's question. Forex is Foreign Exchange you can buy stocks in here that is worldwide. Example, you can buy apple stocks, Microsoft stocks and many more. In crypto, you can buy bitcoin, and other crypto.

Strictly speaking, Forex is just for trading the national currencies, like USDEUR, USDCAD, USDAUD, and the other pairs. There are about 26 main forex pairs, and other less popular ones. Stocks are not related to Forex.

Doing the same thing as I also starting back to learn more about trading, practicing your skills is really a good way before going inside the exchange, it's an advantage if you have good fundamentals and you are going to perform what you've already learned from those reference that's been shared, thanks OP.

Its always necessary to gain some skill before starting crypto trade. Honestly if you start your trading without gathering enough knowledge about crypto then you have a big chance to lose your entire fund. So i believe for a newbie its always a wise decision to learn first before start to earn. Earning from online is not an easy task at all. But if you work hard to learn basics and important things then its pretty much easier to be successful.

Forex simply referre to as foreign currency exchange with that of local currency. In addition to what o p has said about the trading lesson he or she learned via Forex, I happen to be in the same category of traders who  benefits from well known Forex exchange company, although mine was through Alpari UK platform which has helped me in my trading career in crypto currency market.

I think what he meant by relating stock to Forex is that most Forex exchange companies equally trade stock on their platform and I think that was the reason why he was trying to link it with Forex forgetting that there are people here that good in reading between line of every comments.

Another helpful tip is try not just to read everything you see but also write it down in a notebook as what you have been studying in trading would really stick up in your brain. Writing what you see isn't also enough as you also need to put up some of your personal notes while doing it. This helps because you yourself try to understand the su ject and by writing what you have understand will help your conprehension about it. Also trading isn't really just about reading its a whole process in which you also need to try what you have learned by doing mock trades in portfolio management apps so that you see for yourself if you are progressing or not.

The interest is very good for everyone to trade and experienced people need to get them properly then only we can handle the current situation to be a better situation and the increase of traders will always been increase the value of cryptocurrency also.

I appreciate your encouragement and thanks!  To really make money from cryptocurrencies market you must be ready to learn and keep develop your skills until you were able to have strategy that works for you.  I will said you should download matertrade software and learn how all the technical indicators work and demo trade for long time in other to be able to build a good strategy and how candlesticks formation and patterns work.  If you can develop yourself to a level when you can have 75% wining trade then you have Gold in your hand. 
For those that did not know how the cryptocurrencies market works,  you can visit exchange platforms such as binance,  poloniex and bittrex to study how to buy and sell coins. Remain bless.

By learning about trading, we can get the skills, and by practicing, we can get more experience. And if we can combining those two things, I am sure that we could be able to make a profit. But remember, that learning trading will need time before you can improve your skills. Don't afraid if you are losing because when you can be a pro trader, you will make your profit again, so you lose will cover.

True, just dont hurry up yourself to be a pro because trading profitably would still takes time and rushing yourself would just lead to mistakes which eventually caused
by being too greedy or having very a short temper.This is a trial and error and those things will be your stepping stone to success or would last into this trading market.

I am trading forex for last 5-6 years but I am not successful yet although I have studied lot material related to technical analysis. Trading is not that easy, one can make profit for continuous 10 days but its very difficult to retain this consistency for a long time. With knowledge of all technical terms one needs to learn, patience,discipline, controlling emotions, controlling greed and fear, if a trader is lacking any of these factors than its very difficult to for him have high winning percentage. A good trader should know when to take trade and when to exit and it comes with experience only. Try analyzing market everyday before putting real money.

Crypto is very different from the FOREX and STOCKs, I have been trying to trade in crypto  for quite awhile but I'm not really having much success unless  the market is going in one trend just like what its currently doing. The market is climbing up daily and its easy to trade today than to trade few months ago when the trend is going down and sideways.

All newbies in trading should really take their time to get enough training and become skillful before entering into trade, they can only come up with a strategy if they are well educated and informed about what the trading is all about, coupled with enough practices that they need to do too. If they don’t get enough trading and rush into trading without strategy, they will have no other way but to lose their trades.

I agree, a lot of newbies just get greedy and get blinded by the amount that other people get from trading thinking that it is easy and they jump in without any experience or understanding for the market, so it is good to give them a and through showing them the ropes and giving them ways and tutorials to learn before putting their money to risk, and also in the trading market it is a constant learning because you are never experienced enough with the market because it is always changing and there are a lot of variables tied to it, so thanks for the links op, these are pretty usefully.

This is a great strategy, learning from the forums, learning about the different projects that are carried out, following some of your Airdrops, doing tasks to earn rewards, following ICOs and some STOs, everything is valid because apart from participating in these Blockchain processes and of technology what is very acceptable that the forums teach through experts with a lot of experience in the Crypto world and that some have Stock Market experience.

I believe more sites about trading are already there, so there’s no excuse for us not to improve are trading skills and if we really want to learn about it, then we should make ways to achieve this one. Your skill is important in trading, newbies should developed it.

I mostly download pdfs from a telegram channel which more focused on forex trading, however, haven reqd some of the books made it easier to make the transition to crypto trading. YouTube is also a good resourse to expand your knowledge in trading.

The two main difference between forex and crypto trading is that

1) In Forex there is less volatility  and crypto is much more volatile.
2) Your portfolio can be zero in forex if you have big loss but in crypto the portfolio will never become zero and you can hold until the coins regain the value.

There is no such thing as "best exchanger", it depends on what you want to trade on. Do you want to trade Bitcoin/USD? Altcoins? BTC/USD margin trading?

Anyway, you seem pretty clueless about trading. You better read and learn more before jumping straight to real money trading. The links given in OP are a good way to start.

There is no perfect exchange site so if I were you focus on one and don't forget to gather from others review.

Yeah dude, with how you formed the question, it seems it'll be better if you observe first and try to learn a little more before getting into your first trades. Good thing that your interest is there but people often lose that when they lose money so understand first and manage your expectations before you move to the specifics.

If you are going to ask everything to someone then don't expect to be a successful trader,you need to do some research on your own and pick a trading method based on your preference.For beginner day trading is not good to start with so be a short term or long term investor and the choose trading pair based on your capital and then finally pick the exchange.

You already see that many of us discuss the exchanges and I think you can have some idea to join in what exchanges. We recommend binance for new people because that site doesn't need to verify. But if you want to follow the procedure, then you can verify yourself in binance, and you can try to join in the other exchanges.

So you already have three exchanges right now, and you can visit one by one of the exchange, and then you can decide on which exchange you want to trade. Do paper trading extensively. Don't try to put real money even if it seems tempting. Get used to the market. There are many things that you won't notice while learning and demo trading. The first part is true but i will argue about teh second part. It is very possible that your "bag" can become worth essentially 0. To see proof of this all you need to do is look at how many de-listed scam coins there are. Those are all worth 0.
On top of all this, 99.95% of all crypto currencies are pure speculation based on hype and no product nor actual value. This makes it way more dangerous

Everyone had the ability to anything but we need to guide them properly while they are interested in this field it will be very useful for the development of cryptocurrency field so anyone can enter into the speed but doing the proper ways to get your experience and trade successfully is little bit tougher but at the end you can be easily made money in cryptocurrency trading.

Oh one more thing that i forgot to add about trading. The thing you need to keep in mind when trading is that you are trading against other people, the money doesnt just appear, someone is actively trading against you. Psychology plays a huge role. Controlling your emotions is important in trading. Don't let your emotions trade for you because the results will be in a loss. I think discipline and experience will help you control your emotions. If you are a newbie in trading then its normal that you let your emotions control you but time after time, you will just feel that you are emotionless already in trading. Patience in trading is the key to success, we are required not to be too excited when there is an increase and do not panic when there is a drastic decline, sometimes we succeed if thinking upside down from most people.

You will really learn if you will also be more resourceful, the good thing in this era now is that things can be access for free and we can educate ourselves being a trader. I never have a formal training on online trading, but I believe I can prove I can also be profitable.

There is atleast three ways to get profit or avoid a loss in thrading.

2. Method
3. Money

Yeah some experts put the mind thing in the first point. Because how many method that has been mastered by some trader and how much money that spend for trading but they don't have a good psychology and tend have a high greedy then we will never see they will get profit. Most likely they will find a huge loss and often to make deposit until their money is gone.

Studying various strategies and knowledge about trading is indeed very important. But in my opinion there is something far more important, that is willingness, because when we have a high willingness, it can cause a good sense of enthusiasm and for a trader when they experience failure they must continue to try. Skills and knowledge of a Trader will be trained by the experience they have faced and how much they have ever made a decision.

The new people are the next set of people to get the Crypto market to be stable and we need to guide them properly for good trading because trading is not a simple job and we need a lots of Strategies and time to make it possible for getting the income.

A lot of failure which I met in trading. I didnt know it will be that hard although seeing in Youtube makes it look so easy.
There must be deep understanding in the movement of each token. Mostly are dumps when I traded and all are losses for me.

These might help secure my way into making even just small profits. As long as it is profit then I will take it.
The least I could do is get back those losses that I made.

Most of the newbie is currently participating in Cryptocurrency because of the Airdrop rewards and bounty. Very few newbies are interested in trading because they are mostly poor or no fixed investment. I would make a trading plan then. Your words are too good to be true and I appreciate it. Just a question, what if I would lose consecutively using those trading plans that I would apply, how to cope up with those because that is what I am experiencing now.

Like starting any career, there is a lot to learn as a newbie in the field of trading. When you started in the industry, don't try to learn everything about trading at once. You don't have to know it all, you only need one strategy, stick to it and implement over again and again. Open a demo account and start practicing your picked strategy. No two days are the same in the markets, it takes practice to be able to learn the trade setups and be able to execute the trades with confidence and commitment. Be open to challenges and learn from failure and success experiences.

Start with the smallest position amount possible when you first begin trading, in this way it helps reduce some anxiety of losing large amounts of money. We can’t cheat success when it comes to trading. Practice first- for beginners, this is essential, test your strategy over the course of several weeks or months before you risk your own money. Have a plan, it’s important to stick to plan, understand the risk/reward ratio and have exit strategy in place. Continue to learn and explore for more creative trading ideas.

Take a deep breathe now...I will tell one of the keys to the patience and happiness of this world: bitcoin, ethereum, usd, money its all just number, more we chase it, than more we will never be satisfied, and all the numbers we pursue will not be taken away to next life. Newbies usually make mistakes that causes them to lose their money at all times. Some mistakes they make is buying cheap coins. I don't know who brought the idea that buying cheap coins is the best thing to do. Just because they promise heaven and earth doesn't make them a better options. Another mistake they make is that they never make use of stop order. It goes up doesn't mean that it is going for eternity, so try to use to stop loss.

If we're trying to hodl, that should be when we bought the coins at cheapest price. If your coins were bought at peak price, holding it wouldn't be a good idea. If you sold them already, you should invest it back now that the price is down and then begin to hold till there is bull. Bear market doesn't really favor everyone, just a few people benefits from it.

I don't think anyone really cares about that when they are trading, especially with how this market never sleeps. It offers action 24/7 and every moment you look away could potentially mean that you missed an opportunity to buy or sell.

If people really cared, they wouldn't use their life savings or even the funds of their kids to invest in Bitcoin for their own selfish interests. People go extremely far just to make a change in their life, because crypto offers that opportunity.

It doesn't happen all that often where average joes have an opportunity to become extremely wealthy. Sure, most fail miserably and lose all their money, but apparently it's worth at least a shot.

With trading there is no competition. Exchanges are the ones competing but not traders. It is best for us if we are seeing a lot of movements in trading platform.
We can play with the price for our own good. Better do both. At first it will be hard, but in time you wont even need much time to do both.

  It is good to study about trading as much as possible because we know in trading we will have to have good experience and so much knowledge, we know time to time nature of cryptocurrency changes, so learn how to deal with them, make sure you enter the market at red and hold until the price recovers, new trader should start with small amount for long term.

I really do not like to trade according to price judgment. I'm not good at technical analysis and it confused me after a while of thinking.
I think I only fit in long-term investment strategy. These types of transactions will definitely have problems and I think it is not safe for people like me.

That's correct it's always advisable to start with very little amount and make more out of it as starting with huge amount will be a blunder. Best thing will be to start with a coin which has potential but it's still at the bottom due to market circumstances as these coins turns out to be more beneficial when the value pumps and trading is something where one needs to have control over his/her emotions.

Strengthen your weakness and you will become good at it in the future. All of us have gone through that moment where you feel that you are not good at it but if you have eagerness to pursue that then there will be no problem for you. Rich through trading needs huge capital as well,we are not going to be a rich if we are doing trading with $100 or $1000.Mostly people comes with the intention of making short term profits to trade so being rich might not be people's choice they will look to survive each day by the profits they were making.

Trading or investing with emotion doesn't necessarily means failure. Although professional traders can't even remove their emotion while trading. However, the diffference is hoe they're handling it. Through experiences, learning in analysing the chart, and developing their risk management they are eble to control their trades even though the emotion is there.

Well trading is good for a good learner who has learned the way how to participate and trade successfully.  Even in long term you will face with situation to pass on but it is more profitable and you can start long term if you are good with it, it might have huge profit for you. It does not really work in the current market situation when the volatility is not as high as it had been back in 2017. That was the favorable time of exit. However compared to the previous months, the current months have shown some good vibes in the crypto space and the market is volatile as well. Even if you can't trade on demo places (which you can find places to do that) I suggest trying to do pen and paper approach to it or even have places that specifically just allows you to buy and sell whenever you want with fake money to see how you would do. That way you can gain experience while you trade and see if your understanding of trading is enough to start actually trading or not.

Unfortunately, too many newbies trade not just according to charts and all (they do that too of course) but sometimes they trade on gut feeling and move quickly to not miss out and that not missing out really hurts all of their economy because most of the time they do miss out. Something that went up a lot makes them feel they should buy it but when something goes up that much they drop back down most of the time.

Is there any crypto exchange that give a demo? most of forex platfroms are likely gambling, that's why they give demo and free demo balance but crypto for me is totally different. However, we need to be skillful and able to read the condition so that we can take the best decision to gain profits or avoid losses. The only ways to learn is by practice in real crypto trading with low funds. Try to read the condition to predict the price's movement, use indicator, and more. Following signal from other traders is good but you'll be dependant and won't have any skill progress, so avoid it a bit. Keep practice until become millionaire!

For you it seems that all people are here to trade on but there are people who do just sit and simply buy and hold forever and some do earn crypto without the need of trading by means of

I am not saying that it is forbidden, what's I am going to is the fact that trading is really a difficult department of the cryptocurrency market to compete in, not just with other traders but with yourself and the market as well. Many people, even the seasoned ones fall to their knees in this kind of investment, and if a newbie would experience that early on in their cryptocurrency careers, it would really be a big blow to their belief and to their morale in continuing in the market, which in turn, would just affect them and the market negatively in the long run.

If you open a forex trading page you will see a lot of options to trade and that includes Dow Jones and a lot more, oil, eur, usdetc, though I’m not really sure of the ones he has mentioned but there are stuffs like that on forex trading sites.

Forex and crypto trading looks like quite similar and that includes binary trading too, but I like binary trading due to what some platforms has been offering as of recent.

For traders that are newbies, the best for them to do right now, I think it is to just buy some coins and altcoins to hold till the bull run time, during the bull run, they can then enter the market to trade, because that is when the market becomes more volatile.

So for them to get perfect ahead of the bull trades, they need to then use this period to practice more and gain more experience, that is why we have demo trade, if they can demo trade and adapt to this condition, then they will do greatly during the volatile market. So like you said, experience is the best teacher, now they still have the opportunity to gather enough experience through demo trade.

Learn first then trade later and always follow the rules. Trading while starting to learn is not advisable because it may cause a lot of losses and disappointment. You have rich experience in everything OP. I also tried stocks but it doesn't give the profit I want like in crypto. Cryptocurrencies are a beast when it comes to multipliers so I hunger for more btc and altcoins more than stocks. I was very close on getting rich on crypto in 2017 but I was so greedy and dumb.

This is very common for every people, especially when you say crypto. They feel that you can be a millionaire in just 1 day, you need to work hard and grind for that. Trading is really difficult, especially when you are newbie, you need to learn every detail, but you need to start on the basic first and improve it every single time.

Obviously, crypto trading is still best among all these form of trading, I have had experience in virtually all forms, for forex, I was making profits too but I cannot remember the last time I traded forex, although I will always be grateful to forex for the experience it thought me which I have been able to successfully apply to my crypto trading and it has been wonderful all along.

Thank you for sharing your story. I've been wanting to do trading since 2017. Bought books and watched courses, but seems I'm doing things wrong. Because on the side, I am doing something else (blogs, programming, technical bitcoin and etc) and it seems that my job eats most of my time. So I realized I have small time left that I am using for those  tasks, I need to focus on one thing at a time only, simply because as of now I can't lose my job. So instead of focusing on trading, because I realized I didn't have the money yet, I am now learning programming. I really wanted to be an indie programmer. After I get successful at this, I will then learn how to trade and hopefully have the money I need for trading.

General tips from people are great but you know that we all have our own different views and strategy,  it is not all the time that someone’s strategy will work for yours, to really acquire better knowledge and strategy, you must have a mentor that you will always look up to till you become a perfect pro.

Once you get a mentor, he will not be able to lead you astray and will always direct you well on your trade, but whoever you chose as your mentor must be someone who is a guru already in trading and not someone relying on other people’s strategy to trade.

This is not necessar to visit all possible sites about trading. YouTube can suggest a lot of learning videos with basic and gold advices for trading newbies. The only thing I do not like about all of those videos is commercial. In some cases it is too annoying and there are cases when youtubers in fact promote scam schemes and things alike. So it needed to be careful and choose only top crypto trading video makers with big number of followers.

Excitement, rumors and reality will have huge differences, newbie should realize that soon after they start participating in trading, everything will always need us to have a certain effort and understanding, no success is quick, all always need a reasonable price. That is right. There are people who are not really experienced in this thing and which is visible from their content. This is the reason I suggest people to do research before getting into trading. A mere suggestion by some one on the forum could be dangerous for the health of one’s portfolio. Normally people who follow others blindly face huge loss and end up leaving the market.

Many youtube channels about trading are not much better than what you can find in the forum and in fact many seem to be just a long ad promoting their products and most of the time you do not see the owner of that channel engaging in any trades at all and it is clear his revenue comes from selling courses to other people that know even less than them about the markets, however there are many websites that are specialized in the markets in which you can find all the information you need to become a profitable trader but unfortunately it is a long and hard process before you reach the point of becoming profitable in the markets.

Within one hour you can grab everything you need to learn about crypto. What is there to learn about Cryptocurrency itself? I don’t see anything and you get everything you want to know on Coindesk and then move on to learn trading which wouldn’t take you much if that’s what you want to be part of.

Not only that, you also need to capital and lots of time to spend in order to become a successful trader. So if you are impatient and not willing to go like 12 hours a day in the beginning to learn and educate yourself then I would say that crypto trading is not for you.

As the topic implies, he didn’t say newbies that has interest in cryptocurrency, but he specifically mentioned about newbies interested in trading. Everything about Bitcoin is quite easy to learn in an hour as you said, but before someone can full understand the whole idea about crypto, they must start from the whole blockchain concept understanding itself, which is not really a child’s play.

I started from Bitcoin and had some bad experience in the start but then things started getting better and better. You were lucky, 2017 was a year that a lot of people I know had to quit from cryptocurrency cause they couldn't keep up with it. It wasn't everyone that was lucky,  there were lots of challenges then, challenges coming from the media, high fees of transactions and a lot more of them.

There are even people that mistakenly started buying when the price was at the peak, cause they thought that it was going to continue increasing in price but unfortunately for them it didn't.

There is always a risk when you trade, even if you are not using money and you are only making some trades in paper there is a risk that the sample in which you are basing your trading strategy has some bias and in fact your strategy does not work at all under real market conditions, there is also the risk of developing bad habits that will eventually translate in less profits or in losses when performed in the market.
