Is this another fork of bitcoin?

Give up and don't put your time with such altcoins that are just labeling themselves with 'bitcoin' to get attached to the king and probably get the attention of investors that they all wanted.

How did you end up picking this alt? Forget about it. The project seems dead, idk. If you check their ANN thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3002401.0), Medium (https://medium.com/@bitcoinblack), and Twitter (https://www.twitter.com/BTCBlackDotOrg), last posts/updates were from 1st quarter of 2018.

I agree to this as well:

There's a saying when in doubt, don't and this especially true to cryptocurrency investing, you should do your own research, and limit yourself asking people what and when to invest, this is a sure sign that you are not well educated on how to invest wisely.

I’ll advise you make a thorough research about the team and check if the team have got pedigree before you proceed on investing in it and another thing you should watch out for is your instinct.....always follow your instinct

If you want to create an issue about a crypto project, I suggest you enclose the links. At least, you enclose the links of its ANN and its official website. Anyway, the website [btcblack.org] cannot be accessed, and I cannot see sufficient information about the team members on its ANN. I think it is too risky if you want to invest in this project with too lack information.

By the few sites on the project, it is clear that it is a scam. There is no evidence that they have something so innovative that they need a new fork. Fortunately, the number of forks in bitcoin has greatly diminished and no one cares about them today.

If you can't find any tangible reason that it's real then don't bother to invest in bitcoinblack at all, invest in popular Altcoins ,there are many better ones than bitcoinblack

I am not sure is it new crypto project available with the name bitcoin on it but if yes then it is just an another useless shit coin.People need to remember the story of Bitcoin SV now,it is getting delisted from most of the exchanges so don't lose your money by its name.

Please, I will advise you not to take any fork of Bitcoin serious especially at this time that everything is going well with Bitcoin. They only want to take advantage of the good time and the influenced name of Bitcoin to get people to invest in it.

That will be the same with the other bitcoin fork, and I am not sure that the coin can have a chance to increase. The name was bitcoin, but what is making the coin worth than the other "bitcoin"? I don't think much about the coin, and if the coin can get a list on binance or bittrex, then I think the coin is worth to buy. But if not and it's only listed on the small exchange, then it will be the same as the other "altcoin."

Forks of bitcoin generally don't finish well. Look at what happened with the promising Bitcoin Private or Bitcoin Gold. Only Bitcoin Cash is still supported because of Bitmain.

I'm also curious on how these folks found out this kind of altcoins. I'm not aware that there's an existing fork coin that named like this one. Well, I don't have to question it anymore since there were fork coins before that's newly called and tagged as 'universe'.

Seems like another fork of bitcoin is there. No doubt that it's another scam. Have you heard of recent news on BSV. Better you avoid it, otherwise, you will lose the money.

The plug usually is a speculative coin. I would not advise you to invest in such projects. Behind them there is no idea and product.

now there are at least 2126 cryptocurrency. who needs another fork? Ask yourself questions about the project and be critical. If the answers suit you, invest. but I do not recommend you to invest in this project

I do not trust any project or ICO that has the word Bitcoin on it, there is only one Bitcoin and we should stop forking Bitcoin, there are too many of these in the market, let's not complicate things and just create a coin, without the word Bitcoin, it will only confuse investors.

I think that you waste your time members of the forum on this nonsense. Forget it and boldly pass by such rubbish. It's just speculating on the name "bitcoin".

Your information is lacking basis for us to work with, is this another bitcoin forking or another altcoin trying to develop a project we can't get your point with such a short intro. Please give more information so that we can work with.

This makes people confused and information is incomplete, what is meant by the OP does not understand too short.

I think maybe will turn into a scam and better search another projects and try to check if more people are involve, i remember in past a lot of coin with Ethereum  name and something like ETH black or dark and the coin was a scam, the dev sell all his coins.

Until then, I think we should not pay much attention to this, how many forks do we want to have from BTC before we let BTC be an increase in price, I wonder why they would not just let BTC be.

Until I see the exchange it is being listed on like you said before I can first take it serious and then still do research on it, at least, I think Binance has gone beyond listing projects that will give them or their users issue in future. If it is a fork of BTC, fine, but it may not really last long before it become a shitcoins, as it will have no use.

I don't need to check the project out as long as I see bitcoin attached to its name,  I don't see the reason why people will attach bitcoin to the name of their project if they don't have an evil plan to do something bad in the future or maybe take advantage of the newbie who is coming into the Crypto space telling them that their bitcoin is the real bitcoin, I think we need to start avoiding this kind of projects.

At the expense of Bitcoin, everyone wants to earn money by creating their own projects. On which there is nothing new. But the name is very consonant with the main project. Therefore, many newbies get confused. I would have banned the listing of such coins on the stock exchange site.

Another project claiming as relative to bitcoin hmm. If I were you, I will not going to support that project. That is just a waste of time. I've seen so many projects with the name bitcoin attached to it. What happened? They just make the capitalization hard for bitcoin as they are like grasses in the healthy bushes.

I don’t know about the project and I don’t care to know, any coin that has BTC attached to its name is seeing as shitcoins, we are still battling with BSV that will be delisted from exchanges, now another one is coming with a BLACK attached to it, the name alone sound discouraging and looks like a scam coin to me.

Anyway, it’s your call, I don’t know why you are looking for projects that are outside the top 30 coins on coinmarket, just be very careful, and make sure you do your strict research before investing in it, I would have also joined in the research, but unfortunately, I don’t think I have much interest in this coin. At this critical time that the bull of BTC is near, I would rather keep my investment in BTC alone.

People are using this platform to learn new things about crypto. Well I have been here for long and even I don’t know what this OP. is Sometimes it is used with some exchange website or to brief the concepts of SEPs. Better is that if someone knows, please let us know all? That would be good addition in our knowledge set. People should ask such questions, they are highly appreciated as they are questions of so many at same time.

Bitcoin black ? I suggest you to not buying some new coin that using the existing popular coin name and add the color (such as black).
If they want to fork from bitcoin, they should fork officially and give the coin to bitcoin holders, not sell the coin.
You can search for another coin if you want to avoid scam.

Attempts of reincarnation blockchain bitcoin was already very many number of times. And not one of these attempts was not successful. But when neither be bitcoin blockchain will become obsolete very much. And society will have to transfer its assets into something new. So what prevents society to support Bitcoin Black?

It is not ok for creating the fork with a different colour and make it officially. I can smell the scam project form 100m. Nothing is normal on the scam project and no need to advocate such operations.

This ain't legit. The project is dead since 2018, there ain't no updates and developments from the team. I think this project was made in purpose of collecting funds from donators who wish to help develop the project. Also, there is no clear use for this token so this would end up a garbage on your wallet.

I had to double check the date of posting. I thought it was posted in 2017 when I first read the title. Two years ago I've seen a lot of projects that came out with names like ethereum green, bitcoin diamond, litecoin dark.....etc. Today, 99% of them are probably dead. Lesson: stay way from projects whose names are colors or minerals attached to a popular coin.

I would not take part in any such projects. Not all coins that use the bitcoin designation are related to it. Often it's just trash.

it's working only now. there were already so many projects in which everything was working, and then it stopped. that's why this is not an indicator at all  ;D
