Title: Bitcoinandroid: did I lose 10 BTC? Post by: ThomasV on November 09, 2011, 09:02:27 AM I have installed bitcoinandroid on my telephone, a few months ago.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.bitcoinandroid&hl=en today, the application crashes on startup. I have 10 btc on it. is there a way to recover them? the comments on the android market page look pretty negative... all I could find in the sdcard is a "prodnet.blockchain" file. I guess this is not where the private keys are stored. does someone know where they are? Title: Re: did I lose 10 BTC? the source is here https://github.com/barmstrong/bitcoin-android check if .android_secure has the files for that app on the SD card? if so the prodnet.wallet file should be in there you might be able to use ADB to pull it out. I don't see that file. where is it ? .android_secure is a folder there should be a file named com.bitcoinandroid.asec or something similiar in there. you'll need to use the ADB tool from the SDK to pull files from the secure format, I don't know the exact structure either but Yifu should and I already messaged him about it so when he gives a reply I'll let you know, Good work on Electrum btw! Post by: imsaguy on November 12, 2011, 05:54:36 AM First things first... don't just uninstall the app. You will lose your bitcoins for sure. If you use a file explorer like "File Expert", you can backup the /data/data/de.schildbach.wallet/files folder.
1.39 kept crashing for me, so I reinstalled 1.33 over the top. I also use titanium backup to do scheduled backups of my phone so I can restore in case of problems. |
