Title: Is bitminer.io a real site for mining?
Post by: RyhaniFoyej on April 24, 2019, 08:57:57 PM
Hello all members,
I had joined bitminer.io about 6 mounts ago. Today I have hogged in into this website. I see that it has mined 0.09558828 BTC.
I have read that the minimum withdraw amount is 0.005 BTC. So I click in withdraw button but it is in pending. It tells, "Our system has detected 4 free BitMiner V1.0 accounts on your IP address. You can only have 1 free account at a time! You need to Upgrade your BitMiner to make withdrawals. Withdrawals for premium accounts are not limited."
I did not know that I here I have to add only one btc wallet address. So I added here 4 different wallet address.
Now what should I do?
Is it a real mining website? or fake?
please tell me if anyone know about it.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2670198.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2670198.0). Go through it and you'll get to know about the legitimacy of the particular website that requests you to pay to withdraw mined bitcoin.

Just stay away from cloud mining, it's either a scam or unprofitable... or could be both considering that those who really mine have been shady.

In any case, this one is light years away from legit (by legit means owning a farm). Anything that tells you to deposit/spend money first on their site before you can withdraw is no good, stay away. The site reeks of too good to be true baits to lure users like earning without depositing and overly high fixed rates. It's a straight up scam.

... You need to Upgrade your BitMiner to make withdrawals.

It's a very common scam. We'll send you 0.09558828 ($500), but you must first send us $50. Ask them to deduct the $50 from the amount they send you and see what lame excuse they come up with.

I've seen this before and tried it out... you needed to wait for a long time in order to earn 0.001 and to be able to withdraw it you needed to transfer i think 0.002? or 0.001? I forgot... and I do a research about the site and found out that it was a scam where in you're going to transfer funds before withdrawal lol.

I think you should do a research what a real mining is and what a cloud mining works and after you learned it you will found out why we're saying it was a scam.

I was hoping that you know what a real mining is... a brief explanation a mining needs to have a GPU in order for you to forge a block and be rewarded by bitcoin depending on the difficulty (It's a little complicated now but you can read it in here: https://www.bitcoinmining.com/)

Second there's what we called a cloud mining is where you need to rent some hash to a company or users in order to mine but right now it seems cloud mining is not profitable and most of them are scam too. Here's an example of cloud mining sites: https://www.genesis-mining.com/, https://www.nicehash.com/, https://minergate.com/

Once you've learned how a coin was mined well you'll know for sure, that website is scam. Why?

1. Where the hell do they get their funds for reward?
2. How and what kind of mining you're doing to their website? (Probably they're just using your CPU to mine for themselves and by keeping that website open you're mining through CPU already)
3. Why do you need to transfer first? for extra income to them? lol

This. I'm not sure, but regardless even if the website is actually legit, chances are, you're going to lose money anyway. It's not worth it regardless. If you want to mine, go buy hardware. Mining is a business, not something that you pay once then you're going to receive free money forever.

Eh, red flag. This is a common scam and can be compared to the classic 'Nigerian Prince' scamming method. In order to withdraw what you earned, you have to pay them first to process things which is pretty stupid and should have been done already, which isn't the case kn this site you're working at. Heck, even old cloudmining websites won't ask you for deposits before withdrawals, though you will not earn anything with them too.

Funds are lost if you have deposited something. You won't get anything from this scheme.

Bitmain offers cloud mining contracts too, and if the largest miner in the world can't provide profitability at this point in time, chances are that no one else will, so yeah, it makes no sense to put a penny in this nonsense.

The thing is that people get hyped up by flashy ads on social media and scammy sites and think it's legit. With how greedy people are they will consider pumping money in cloud mining dreaming about a passive income stream.

All the idiots shilling these sites because they get paid and blindly assume it's legit, don't realize that the site is slowly giving them back small chunks of their own money. After so many years cloud mining is still a problem.

Do they really? Mind linking their cloud mining site/link? Couldn't find it on bitmain.com; or is it hashnest.com?

Bitmain doesn't have cloud-mining service, others have "ASIC/miner hosting" services though, but it is different.
He might be talking about bitmain-cloudmining.com (http://bitmain-cloudmining.com)<---Warning Scam Website but despite having "bitmain" in the URL, it's not affiliated with Bitmain.

It's another Cloud-Mining scam like the one in the OP.
Funny thing is: they have Mark Zuckerberg in the team (and he appeared twice)

It's so funny. This is a marketing strategy legitimate businesses use. From time to time you have "cash back" discounts, where if you buy x product, they'll send you x amount back to your bank account afterwards. What really happens is that they have all your information and they can sell that to third parties for a decent chunk of money.

Scam sites added their twist to it by going a few steps further. It's so silly how people even take the time to ask people around them if this is a scam or not. How obvious do you want a scam to be in order to realize it is a scam? ::)

I am indeed referring to Hashnest. It's owned by Bitmain.

I was talking about Hashnest. The site you linked to is a straight scam site. The best thing you can do here is to report that domain to the registrar. If enough people do that they might deactivate that domain.

No serious company would ever use a gmail.com email as support. They probably couldn't afford an email service. That and their many pajeet style typos is an instant red flag. Lazy and broke ass scammers.

bitminer.io and all other cloud mining sites are only scam. Just forget about it and do not deposit any thing there. The Good thing is that you must have made a free account there, so your money is not lost in this scam.
The Sad thing is that these sites are running for many years and scamming new people everyday, yet no one is able to report and close such sites permanently.

Why did not you try to withdraw when you reached the limit "0.005BTC"? Not your key, Not your coins
As long as they are mentioned, these people are scammers. Where you find such sites?
I expect they used a name similar to a famous Mixer (Bitmixer.)

He mentions about withdrawing the money, and he already tried to withdraw the money, but he needs to upgrade his account.

I heard about bitminer.io for a long time ago, but I never think that they are legit cloud mining since we cannot expect to make a profit from cloud mining.

How much bitcoin needed to upgrade the account? But I don't suggest to upgrade the account because we know that many cloud mining will scam us in the long-term.

Thanks for the suggestion.
You have wanted to know about "how much it needs to upgrade?" It needs to upgrade 0.01btc. For this reason I have made this post to get the suggestion.

LOL  ;D ;D ;D
You are being scammed for 6 months and had no idea about it. Now the website is asking you to deposit funds to your account with reason to upgrade your membership or whatever, in fact NO. They are trying to make you pay before disappear. Never trust cloud mining websites! Most of them are not paying (scam) or eventually scam, so stay away!
