Title: Should I gamble for my WEDDING?
Post by: BUK2016 on April 27, 2019, 10:39:17 AM
My wedding is fast approaching and am looking for ways of making more money to help me in one way or the other to take care of some expenses as regards my wedding. At the moment, I have about 0.04BTC and I will need additional 0.09BTC for me to take care of some other expenses which are yet to be taken care of.

Should I gamble with the one I have?

Edit:
My wedding is slated for 3rd and 4th of May, 2019 you guys are all invited.

I have few questions for you. First, is it the only way you know to earn more? Are you willing to put the money that you have at risk? What if you lose? Do you have other options? If you could answer all questions with yes then you could it's just fine to gamble your wedding funds.
If I will be in your situation, I won't put that 0.04 Btc at risk but I would rather find ways to earn just to sustain my wedding expenses.

Absolutely do not gamble with your wedding funds, you might end up losing it all & your wife will be PISSED. Hell there might not even be a wedding if you fuck it up for her.

See if you can borrow the additional funds from friends or family.

Very risky dude, if you insist on gambling in order get funding for a marriage, you must play relaxed. Determination of the date of marriage don't you think of my advice so that you only focus on gambling, don't let your mind be disturbed by other things.

Remember dude don't sacrifice your money to the way that your not sure. If you are planning wedding you need to have plan before set the wedding date and you need save more money to be prepared. I think you don't have any plan for that.

Gambling will possible for you to win but maybe your capital or the money that use for your wedding will lose . Do want ever you want because that's your money but you need to be preapre to the result.

If you gamble it means that you are gambling your wedding as well. Something bad may happen if you risk the money for your wedding, so dont do it.
There are many other ways to fulfill your needs except gambling. I would prefer to take some loan if I'm your position.

Am currently participating in a signature campaign though my take home is 0.003BTC base on my rank. I don't want to lose the one I have now and my other option is to take loan but my rank as a collateral will not be enough requirement for me to demand for such amount of loan.
Thanks for your concern though.

Is this even a serious question? What if you lost everything you have?
You should never gamble to earn money. If you do, you'll ruin your life sooner or later.
Wedding is a union of two souls. All you need is love. Cut off some expenses and make your wedding simpler.

No.

Go take a loan with collateral probably to your nearest bank or your relatives. Don't gamble with your dedicated funds for your wedding.

Instead of asking loan here you can also even ask it from your friends or relatives , as you are in signature campaign you can pay them according to it. I dont think that they wont help you. Because as everyone knows it the winning chances are only 1 % but loosing chances are 99%. If you any knowledge about gambling then you can try but think that if you loose this amount also then what will happen to your future plans. So be wise and do anything as it is the matter of life for you as it depends the future of you and your going to be married life.

If you believe on the principle that gamble what you can afford to lose, you should not gamble your money for the purpose of funding your wedding.
You just broke the principle, it's not  the amount you can afford to lose, in fact you need more to spend on expenses for your wedding.

Gambling is not a way of making money.

If you know that your wedding is nearer you might saved it earlier. But its okay you can take long term goal on lending section if someone see that you actually have enough worth for the money you were aslking for.

If you don't like to mess up your once in a lifetime wedding then better not make gambling as an option when it comes to funds. You can always
have the option to borrow either on your own family members or on your relatives or friends because if you do lose up that entire 0.04 Atm then youre
all fucked up dude.

If no one can stop you on playing gambling then bet that 0.04btc x2 on a dice game for 2 consecutive rolls then your problem solved but this would only possible if extreme luck on your side but imagine that everytime you do make a roll and gambling that money you are also gambling your own wedding.

Gambling is not a way of making money.

Of course it is  .  gambling can serve as a money doubler but it is risky because the chance of winning is too slim  but it is always possible for the op to regain the missing amount that he needs in the form of gambling   .  he can even earn more but then again , he can also loose his balance in a blink of an eye  .  there are still other ways that is less riskier for him to earn .  the most suggested one is trading , other one is investing

We will lose 9 out of 10 times while betting probably so it is not a good choice to choose this to make the missing amount through gambling.

Trading can gie the earnings he wanted byt possibly its too small time frame to make that profits.

Absolutely no! It would be best if you asked for loans instead. 0.09BTC is not much so you would be able to repay your loans in a few weeks. I see you already have decent signature campaign mate. It's not a problem, and you will be fine. Congratulations!

That does not make any sense if you gamble the money that may put you in a risk situation, gambling does not give you 100% assurance that makes a profit on it or maybe getting worst it will lose all your money. But who knows if you are lucky enough, just set amount that you can afford to lose. All I can say is don't mess up your wedding upcoming day, instead, find another way that you can produce money (better to get a loan) on that day because that is once in a lifetime happen. If that does not happen maybe your fiance left you.

In my own opinion, it is a risk if you will start to gamble all of your money instead using it for your wedding or other important occasions because there are only a 50/50 chance for you to increase your profit, even you feel lucky it is still impossible for to gain that kind of profit. Gambling is also not an option for you increase your profit because there are a lot of things that you might do. There are other times that you could gamble your profit again in crypto casino (https://vegascasino.io/casino/video-slots/durian-dynamite?utm_source=ccdd) for you to gain your profit, but i believe this is not the time for you to gamble because it is risky.

Are you kidding me, man? That is bad. I know you are kind of desperate to get that money but I don't think gambling will help you. First off, if you want to get married, you should've been able to save money for that, for me that just means you are rushing things and you did not even plan this whole thing up. Lastly, if you really need it, just make a loan or borrow money. You have a lot of friends for sure that you can borrow to and there are a lot of banks you can have a loan to. You don't need to rely on gambling sites, you should, believe me, I've been there.

looking for additional funds from gambling for marriage, that's not the right decision. this way is very risky because there is no guarantee that you will win and get extra money. try using a loan. stop by in loan sub-section. I think it's an alternative way to find extra money.

Reading through your post and replies of these gentlemen and gentlewomen, it looks to me how desperate you are indeed to get something from gambling; through what you have already keep for your Wedding, why are you so desperate? So, many questions have already be asked from these gentlemen/gentlewomen.

Please, gambling with that money will make you regret your actions, and will need to devastation and further to depression.

Although, am not yet in a paid signature campaign as you can see on this forum, but have some investment kept for some specific purpose, but not just to advise you not to gamble your savings for your Wedding.

I will like to have your wallet address for my little support for your Wedding, please the amount may not look big but whatever it is, never gamble your savings, God bless your Wedding.

I definitely don't have the answer for this because if you had the money I will definitely Campbell to kiss your own choice but if you lost the money that you had in your hand then the problem will increase the so much then handling the problem is not being very easy and job so it depends on river situation.

I wont advice you to rely or believe that gambling is only way for you to get the addition 0.09BTC you needed for your wedding and the best option you have is to invest the 0.04BTC into a reputable gambling site bankroll which is still better using the 0.04BTC since the 0.09BTC is very important for you to get it before the 3rd and 4th May. But if you have extra BTC you can use that to gamble.

Title: Re: Should I gamble for my WEDDING?

Firstly, I believe you understand what are at stake as gambling if you gamble with the 0.04BTC which you still need addition 0.09BTC because gambling require a good concentration, thinking outside the box and making the right move and you needing the money for something important I'm pretty sure that you wont be 100% with the requirement I mentioned about. But, If you're ready to take the risk, the best option you have this days are sport bet and I hope you're good with that but if you're not then I will advice you to get a loan which you'll definitely pay back at ease.

You guys never fail  to amuse me! Please tell me this is just a troll question  :o. Like seriously man? You want to gamble to cover up your wedding cost? Why man? You could lose everything you have while gambling. Then what will you do? Again, looks like you are not financially stable at all. Then why marry now? Tell your girl friend to wait for a while until you earn something good. Then go marry her!

A very bad idea... You should find another way than gambling your only money left for the wedding. No matter what happens never ever gamble it if there is an upcoming expense because you will never know how to get it back once you fail. And besides, if you are not a professional gambler you should have to forget about it since the odds that you might lose is higher than what you have expected.

Hope your future wife wont find that topic. What is the whole budget of your wedding? Somehow I doubt that additional 0.09 BTC will help you much.

I'll advice you not to gamble. Borrow the money from your father-in-law, and then return the debt from the money you will be presented :D Or dont do it. In fact he already owns you because you merry his daughter.

Well, my suggestion is that you don't have to gamble all of your BTC balance which you said was about 0.04BTC where you would only gamble have of your 0.04BTC and also gamble what you have won as you might lose all your BTC if you gamble all your BTC. Anyway, if you have money saved for your wedding and that does not include the 0.04BTC then you may gamble of what you have (0.04BTC), we don't know that you might get lucky and win more BTC. I think you can create a wedding celebration thread here in bitcointalk where you will give souvenir (your smerits if you have, it's a suggestion anyway) to other forum users who are worthy to receive it more like a merit giveaway thread for example. Take note that it is a good strategy not to put your eggs in one basket.

;D you must be a comedian buddy, agree with your point that; the father-in-law already owns him(BK2016). Instead of him to gamble his savings, why not him gamble with his wife, and if another gambler win the contest; he go on with the wife management  ;D . Also, let find way to send the wife and in-laws to be this thread for them to be aware of his desperate actions, maybe if he succeed now; he might gamble with his wife, in-law you be aware.

You do not need to bet to cover the shortage of expenses for your important wedding, gambling is very risky and if you lose because of gambling, then you can be messed up and of course it will also mess about your wedding later. Think wiser, when you have a job with the income you receive every week or month, it would be better to borrow money from the bank or whatever, that would certainly be better for you. Don't be too reckless for something important, keep calm and make wise decisions.

no I don't recommend it because if you lost all your money in your hands after gambling it will giving lots of pressure in your wedding so so don't take any risk like for your personal things and it will be most important thing in your life so taking risk is not right here in this situation.

You could loss your money, will only gamble with full of pressure if you will do that, hence, it will affect your judgment, regardless of the game you play.
Better find another way like borrowing money, rather than risking what you only have at the moment.

Hey buddy, don't spend too much money for your wedding as it is not worth celebrating for, it's more than life imprisonment  ;D. Take it from us who have been there. If you are in, after a few months/years there is a high probability that you want out and that's the time that you gonna need lots of money  8).

Depending on a country, there are civil wedding rites that are free or at least cheap. Don't spend lavishly if you don't have money on hand, better save it because after the wedding, you daily expenditure will surge up.

I don't think using gambling is a good idea to make money especially you need 0.09 btc to pay some expenses. I suggest you don't gamble with that money. Perhaps, you can check in your balance at every exchange you have and who knows, you have a free balance you can use.

You can gamble, but you must have a skill especially in sports betting especially if you are good to collect the information. If you are not good in any gambling game, then don't ever think to play gambling to make money. You are going to marry, and 0.09 btc is big for you so you must know that gambling is not a good solution.

Take the advice of the majority here and don't try to gamble your (only) money away just because you need more for your wedding. There are other solutions to your problem and looking at gambling as a way to fix it is not the best idea. If you can't afford it now, you should postpone it for a month or two until you have enough don't force yourself into gambling its the last thing you want to do with your wedding budget.

I am just curious. You see, if you really love your partner, this will not be a problem at all. I know that problems can affect this kind of occasions but if you really want to make her happy, you should have lined this up already. You can't even plan a good budget for your wedding, I doubt that you can have a good family in the future, think about it. It seems that you are rushing things or you are the one being rushed, I don't know but I hope someone can help you with that problem.

A wedding is the start of the rest of your life together, you should start it right. Gambling is not the right way to set it off. Plan your wedding and spend only what is within your means. Wedding is just a beginning, there are lots of expenses yet in the future. If you will rely on gambling to fund those expenses, your financial status as a couple will be in a shaky foundation.

You should not risk this important part of your life by gambling the small amount of Bitcoin that you have.
This could ruin the future for you and your wife and she would never forgive you.
I dont know if you are serious or if this is a troll job but you have already collected 10$ in donations

--

Certainly No. If you gamble with your savings you might end up with nothing left in case of a loss. You would surely will not like that to happen. If you are really short on money, then try to do two things.

First try to cut off your expenses of marriage and secondly you can take loan, if there is no other way left. Also it depends on what you do in your life to earn a regular income.

If you are willing to risk the money you have saved for your wedding - go ahead. But remember, your soon to be wife might become angry with you if you do.  ;D
Jokes aside, I wish you all the best. Like always, risk only the money that you can afford to lose. If that 0.04 BTC is essential for your wedding I wouldn't consider that to be money that you can afford to lose.

Don't do this bro,you will lose all the money you have got.If you still wish to gamble to make that money then you can try sport betting where you have better chance of winning or you believes that you are more lucky then try casinos.

That's really is a concerning point. The post of OP shows that he has only this amount of money and even if try and win in gambling, All his money will be spend in gambling. Getting married is a name of responsibility, so i wonder how will OP meet his expenses when we will spend all of his funds on the marriage event.

Good thing someone donated money for your wedding. Keep it and dont try to gamble that. I know lot of people who are in needs and they gamble the money to get what they want however the outcome is the opposite and it they added more on there problem instead of solving it.
Never to take the risk as the results my be regrettable, you have to change your mind if you are still thinking about doing this kind of action, save your money and find other way to make it grow, gambling is not the best one for you as fear inside you will interfere and will create bad decision making, always play with money that you can afford to lose those who are jus spare and not for important things.

I used to play gamble just once in a week and I have though that gambling was not a place for me to be use as a backrest. I have tried several time like what do you want and I never reach it, it was just made me lost of all money and I should find another source to get it my capital again. Gambling is not a place to get money easily, you need a thousand of lucky to get it. So, my suggestion is don't do it and find some realistic ways to get it such as trading bitcoin or altcoin or maybe you can invest it for short term because we don't know maybe tomorrow the prices cryptocurrency will meet a drastically up.

Bitcoin trading is a much better option to choose than bitcoin gambling. In trading  we have much better chances to secure profit but it will take some time in this bear market.
Gambling can only make or break your wedding. You Win you go for the wedding, you lose you will end up empty handed.

You are going to marry someone means that you are above legal age already, is it really needed to ask something like this? How old are you by the way?
I cant believe that someone who is going to get married asking like this, as you should be mature enough to decide something related to your money that you are going to use for your wedding expenses.

It all depends on the time you set and if the time is very close to the target you set, you are just wasting your time and risk losing everything.
My advice is that you are better off looking for other ways in real ways such as additional work or side jobs and whatever it is just as additional capital for your marriage without having to sacrifice the bitcoin that you have, and let your bitcoin grow and sell when prices rise.

No definitely you can't because if you had some money you need to put in your wedding not in gambling because if you are not succeeded while gambling then it will be like totally giving the zero money in your hand at that time your decision is totally out of control and it will end up with only negative things that's why I am saying this.

A loud resounding NO. If you think this way with finances, I don't think you should marry yet. What happens when you lose huh? Then you don't have a wedding. This is like a homeless man saying he don't have enough money for food so he gambles - if he loses he go hungry.

I saw in the first post that you quoted someone taking about donations. Just go along with that. Since I'm assuming you haven't started preparations since you don't have enough money yet, you can try to take part of the donations (or just use your own money) and offer that up for raffle.

You can also do a raffle in your community. The downside is they might be less likely to give you monetary gifts during the actual wedding since they feel they've already helped you.

No dude, you shouldn't. Don't use any money reserved for important things or priority. I'm also a gambler but when it comes to priority, I can set aside my addiction. Just find another way to add that funds instead of putting that money in risk, pretty sure there is. Always remember your priority before gambling. In that way, you won't end up nothing.

Please no. Im sure you gather all that funds for that particular special moment. If you gamble that money, you will lose not only money but also your bride. This will spark hate and all negative things. Set aside the fund and gamble separate funds. If you dont have that, better find another way to earn extra income.

I should never say it should never be. Because gambling is not the medium for earning money. It's not good to earn money by playing gambling. So I will not be gambling for your wedding. Because playing gambling is not easy to earn money. You can lose all your money anytime by playing gambling. So I will not be gambling to meet your wedding expenses. This is not an acceptable medium for earning money.

Thank you

Only gambling for the money that you can afford to loss.
Everybody have their own tolerance against loss so for me personally, I'm better to not gamble with my wedding fund because it's too risky.

You should seperate your active income and risky investment for your own good !

That's a very bad idea if your fiancee find this out, it will ruin your wedding, there's no guaranty in gambling, even if you are that good in gambling you should not be tempted to do it, you can make a loan from your parents but never take the risk of putting your money to gambling that is intended for the wedding.

I think people spend too much on weddings, its only a one day event and people are blowing tens of thousands of dollars on it.  I respect people that have a very small ceremony or just go down to the local courthouse and do it.

Should I gamble with the one I have?

Are you kidding me, man? That is bad. I know you are kind of desperate to get that money but I don't think gambling will help you. First off, if you want to get married, you should've been able to save money for that, for me that just means you are rushing things and you did not even plan this whole thing up. Lastly, if you really need it, just make a loan or borrow money. You have a lot of friends for sure that you can borrow to and there are a lot of banks you can have a loan to. You don't need to rely on gambling sites, you should, believe me, I've been there.

You make good points.  But the gentleman does not have to borrow from banks either. Maybe borrow friends... but never the banks
Borrowing from banks is almost thesame as gambling.

On no account should you gamble with your wedding money or savings because that's very risking and could be disastrous. Hope you "cut your coat according to your size" and not to the size of what you are not. Wedding is good but ensure not to gamble with your fund and celebrate it the way your financial power can take you.

There's one most important thing we all are missing on this issue, gambling is purely and solely by luck, so the money may be double but in the same light, the money may vanish, that's lost in the process. As a successful gambler, i doubt OP on that. This case in view is not a joke, i think.

I don't think you need to do that. Don't risk your money near your important days. Gambling is not always profitable, it's better for having fun. I'm afraid if you do gamble to gain your target profit, then you lost your money and you it's possible for you to you lose your mind and do it again until worse while your wedding day is near. Wedding expense can be covered with loan and I'm glad that there are some people here who agree to donate their funds for you. Unfortunately, I can be one of those donators.

On such a big occasion it would be definitely not a good idea to gamble because we know gambling itself is luck and if you cannot win it you end up losing the most important money which is required during your wedding and would not like to start on a bad note.

You can't just trade without a capital if he has a capital then that would be from his 0.04BTC left. Maybe you have never understand gambling very well and you may need to put some fund into it after your wedding so that you will know that it is a very risky venture and if you put all the fund for your wedding into it you may loose drastically and your wedding may not hold.  It is good that you tried gamble after the whole thing related to your wedding so you will not be carry away by the fantasy of winning.  I really wish you the best married life and I wish you could have post this also in meta so we can really celebrate with you.

I understand the tension that goes with preparing for wedding, especially the planned and unplanned expenses that keeps coming up and it can really be a time anyone can do anything to generate income, but I will advise you never to try to gamble your money.

There is a parable that says a Bird at hand is worth 2 in the bush. Better guard the little you have if you cherish your  spouse and you truly want the wedding to take place. Because you cannot be too sure of getting your money back with gambling. You can try hunting for more signature campaigns to make more money.
