Title: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: goaldigger on April 29, 2019, 11:59:46 AM Youtube is just one click away and it serves as our 100% entertainment on different aspects of videography such as news, documentaries, educational videos, music videos etc.. In a world full of social popularity, its not a surprise that youtubers exist like a mushroom. Vloggers or video bloggers doubled in such a small period of time also having the fact that mloe than popularity, they also receive money depending on the number of their subscribers.
The number one trending videos of the century is the "unboxing" videos which obviously documenting the unboxing of items such as gadgets and mystery boxes. I dont know but its really popular for our generation since we are the people who gets easily curioused into something. But how does this connect with the cryptocurrency? If youre aware with the mystery box videos, you are particularly aware with those who exist in deep web. In this you will purchase a mystery box with some creepy things on it, not ordinary ones, which most of subscribers request. But how can you purchase a mystery box from deep web? Yes. By purchasing it on bitcoin to hide your identity since we all know that the site lies bad people. Youtubers always mention bitcoin and tell viewers about it even on slightest discription. They are not aware that they influence someone and they search about it. With this they promote bitcoin unconsciously and unexpectedly and i think its a good way to introduce bitcoin on mass media. They are not aware that they influence someone and they search about it. With this they promote bitcoin unconsciously and unexpectedly and i think its a good way to introduce bitcoin on mass media. The problem is most of the youtubers only talk about price and market speculation, not how to use bitcoin, the white paper, why it is a better alternative fiat than the current fiat, how not to get hacked and lose all your coins, how to make cold wallets, the genesis block(the article it linked to), hashes, mining, double spending, the difference between bitcoin.org and .com, pools etc, blockchain etc, etc. These pump and dumpers actually would get more people into bitcoin, if they gave a better of explanation of the tech behind bitcoin to get more people into bitcoin rather than "ITS GOING TO DAH MOON!" Example youtube "Bitcoin" https://imgur.com/a/oEPzL3k "Price, price, price, price, price video" I will be starting some bitcoin 101 soon on a new channel on those things mentioned above, then get into other stuff like I did in these videos, my current channel was created for my gaming memories. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7TLFyK_3Pk (limited supply simulation video showing you we all die, how time could be the medium of the exchange, how governments could become decentralized and exchanges can become decentralized.) refer to this post for ideas https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5135915.0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bowyBKPt15U (how everyone could be their own wallet) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ek7Kd_9UkL0 (trading another mans fiat for another mans fiat) When my thoughts are more collected about the future of bitcoin, instead of just talking off the top of my head. I think people will understand. Title: Re: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: TimeBits on April 29, 2019, 12:37:20 PM What do you think would make a good channel name? Basics of bitcoin? Bitcoin Brilliance? Bitcoin 101? Bitcoin Learning?
My first video will be going over the whitepaper, my 2nd video will be going over the client (bitcoin core), my 3rd video will be going over safety of your accounts (cold wallets, skeleton keys, leaked data bases, social engineering) my 4th video will be mining, my 5th video will be why not to trust exchanges *cough banks* (mt.gox, quadriga, poloniex to name a few) I could make over 1000 videos on the subject. I will make over 1000 videos on the subject. Title: Re: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: pawanjain on April 29, 2019, 01:22:09 PM I don't think that relating bitcoin to the dark web and promoting it in this way would on Youtube would be a good way to introduce people to bitcoin.
Bitcoin as a technology is far better than just an anonymous payment method. Most people are kinda afraid of the dark web since it is related to illegal activities. Introducing people to bitcoin in such a way would just decrease the good image of bitcoin. If at all youtubers want to promote bitcoin then they should be speaking about the technology behind it and it's advantages over traditional payment methods. Youtubers should answer the doubts of people like how @OmegaStarScream has propose on to making a youtube channel just to talk the technical aspects of bitcoin. He will also be addressing the questions people would ask him on his videos. Now that's a good way to introduce people to bitcoin isn't it? Title: Re: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: okala on April 29, 2019, 01:34:31 PM What do you think would make a good channel name? Basics of bitcoin? Bitcoin Brilliance? Bitcoin 101? Your videos will not still be different from 100s of videos on YouTube already, because from what you have mention none state a video about the advantage of using bitcoin or ways to use bitcoin, yes I know you point out safety in protecting wallet what about safety in carrying out transactions on bitcoin. We already have loads of youtubers who have dealt with all those aspects why not try something different. YouTube have been the only source for online video documentary channel for bitcoin and the number of videos promoting bitcoin on YouTube is on the increase on daily basis. Otherwise I would be giving out false information, But when I "youtube the word bitcoin" I would like to see some of these channels instead of just market fortune tellers. So I guess I have to take matters into my own hands. I will state the advantages as well, that is a good video idea (which has already also been done) but no harm in making another, thanks. and where you can spend your bitcoins, I bought my computer, lap, clothes, food and medicine with bitcoin. youtube and twitch has a way of viewbotting nonsense content. Title: Re: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: Genemind on April 29, 2019, 04:31:46 PM I've actually seen a vlogger unboxed a mystery box from E-bay which worth thousands of dollars. I was shocked that he was able to get a ledger with crypto in it which almost cost more than what he had paid. Who knows whether if it is real of he had included it on the box himself, but I think it's a good way to implicitly promote bitcoin/cryptocurrency. Would be entertaining and informative if ever there are vloggers who would be able to promote or inform others where bitcoin can be used or somehow give basic ideas about cryptocurrency. As we all know a lot of people are watching vloggers do vlogs about travelling, food, and a lot more, maybe they can simply imply cryptocurrency with their vlogs.

Those mystery box videos are popular today, I've watched recently a video of the channel 'crypto NWO'. He also purchased a mystery box from dark web and he didn't highlighted that he received more than 20 btc on that box. Vloggers or video bloggers doubled in such a small period of time also having the fact that mloe than popularity, they also receive money depending on the number of their subscribers. I think what you have mentioned is different in promoting bitcoin as a whole. It has a very little connection and it doesn't promote bitcoin at all. It just promote the mystery box, not bitcoin, or white paper, or why bitcoin is better than fiat money. It is like promoting a good gaming site (https://vegascasino.io/casino/video-slots/durian-dynamite?utm_source=ccdd) by saying its name, but you doesn't mentioned its defining features like multiple types of games, multiple slots, good customer care, fast transactions, and etc that what makes a gaming site a good gaming site. Yes bitcoin is used to buy those box but it doesn't directly promoting bitcoin. The number one trending videos of the century is the "unboxing" videos which obviously documenting the unboxing of items such as gadgets and mystery boxes. Many youtubers are now milking crypto projects. No wonder, there are many biased reviews even they are crap projects. I hope they should be at least fair enough in presenting a specific project because their followers are sometimes relying on their side. Title: Re: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: TimeBits on April 29, 2019, 11:12:03 PM really there should be a platform paying the people watching the ads not the people creating the content or like a 50/50 at least. You want me to watch your commercial Sony, Blizzard, Apple PAY ME! ADBLOCK LIFE. There is a reason I left television 20 years ago. I lost 1/3rd of my time watching some guy trying to sell me some cloth and some other twat trying to buy my gold.

From what you write, I think that will be a good video to watch especially for new people who are trying to join in the cryptocurrency so they can learn and practice for what they watched in your youtube channel. All of your ideas will be good if it could be implemented in the youtube channel and I am sure that many people will like your video. Title: Re: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: crwth on April 30, 2019, 01:20:20 AM I have watched different unboxing videos with regards to the "dark web mystery box," but it isn't a mystery at all. They are just overreacting to "what could be" or "what happened" with that specific item. I can't find the video that I watched, but I remember that some YouTuber is claiming that it's a hunted chalice of some sort. And you know what it looks like? It's like this.

Maybe all the videos that I watched buys things on clearnet and not on darkweb though. But if they promoting bitcoin subtlety, then I guess there nothing wrong. But if they will impact the price? I doubt it.

Title: Re: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: jake zyrus on April 30, 2019, 02:37:47 AM I've watched a lot of mystery box youtube videos but didn't heard them mentioning bitcoin. Well it's good that some are mentioning it, knowing they're also becoming influential to their subscribers but I bet others might not really know bitcoin so it not impossible for them to tell false information to their viewers too.
Title: Re: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: CryptoBry on April 30, 2019, 02:52:39 AM Just a mere mention of Bitcoin can already mean a lot most especially if one's video is viewed by the thousands. This is one way that other people can get curious because there is no commercial intent in just a mere mention unlike the many ads that already proliferate in YouTube (whether we like those ads or not). Personal recommendation can be more effective than paid ones. I understand that many can be frustrated as to the pace of Bitcoin adoption but we have to remember that 10 years is so little time when it comes to changing a big system like our financial ecosystem. Title: Re: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: Harlot on April 30, 2019, 08:31:01 PM These famous Youtubers/vloggers you are talking about are not only shooting random videos if you think of it most of them now have directors, editors, and researchers planning on what they will post next and that is counting what they will say in front of the camera. Yes we might be surprised that they too mention things about Bitcoin but the truth is they already know that the viewers themselves know a thing or two about it since they are able to relate about it. It may spark a little curiousity for first time watchers but I doubt they would have an interest about it if they are just their watching for unboxing videos.
Title: Re: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: Ailmand on April 30, 2019, 08:33:32 PM A lot of Youtubers focus on handling topics which are most searched. Through that, they will be able to gain subscribers and viewers and they could earn a good amount of money. However, it's hard to rely different reviews and opinions with Youtubers because most of them are just influencers and they're not really into crypto. Most of them are just doing it for business.

The Bitcoin market and crypto market in general continues to be small relative to the market - and emotional, "said Jehan Chu, managing partner at the blockchain investment and advisory firm Kenetic Capital. "It's still very much subject to waves of enthusiasm. I don't think today is anything special.
Title: Re: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: kurian on April 30, 2019, 09:38:44 PM Youtube is a great way to convey information to the mass. But, most of the youtube videos about cryptocurrency are hypes and price predictions without proper research. Most of them are done for promotions or getting a lot of views. Bitcoin is a hot subject in recent years. So, doing a video about it could bring more views. However, I got interested in Bitcoin after watching some youtube videos in the past.

Yes, and there are only few youtubers that are dedicative in creating content that benefits the common people as well as the users of bitcoin. I used to follow an YouTube channel which used to post video twice in a month or once in a month. It clearly gives information regarding each and every activity that happened relative to cryptocurrency by that time period. If there is any important news about the market trend he used to notify us through the telegram channel.Title: Re: Youtubers promoting bitcoin unexpectedly Post by: Rahman11 on April 30, 2019, 09:48:10 PM Yes youtube is great media and it's a huge entertainment medium, you can advertising your any product here by your popular youtube video channel and also can advertise here your product via google! but big youtubers can promote cryptocurrency here without any cost! I think most of youtubers not promoted correctly bitcoin here, need more focus about bitcoin marketing exchange systems and need to describe how do bitcoin work! and need to compare with others paper currency for experience about bitcoin.
