Actually that ANN was posted by a designer who is not part of the core team.  We are entirely visible and transparent about the project, you can see our open history in the Fedora Tips thread, as well as on Telegram, Discord and Twitter. That initial Fedora Gold ANN had barely any posts and so we felt there was no issue about coming here, where we can have a core team member as the OP who is also entirely accountable to the project. We posted in that channel and also the Fedora Tips channel what we had done - so your implication that we are not sharing information is incorrect.

I provided details about the backgrounds of all the core team in response to questions, however like many people in the crypto community some of us maintain personal privacy. As you yourself know that is a perfectly acceptable social interaction - otherwise you would not be using an alias (and neither would ICOEthics who asked the original question).

Our communications and our github repos are, have been and always will be totally open - please study the code if you are concerned.

yes I have seen it, I have also not been interested in this project when Tokensuite became its manager, they will have a great influence on the running of the bounty and the bounty hunter participants, so I began to avoid some ICOs managed by Bountysuite.

Thanks again for your input. I must say that I disagree with you however, and that I have not been at all vague in my responses. You asked about the team and I provided a summary of all of our technical backgrounds.  As you are no doubt aware - given that you yourself maintain your privacy - the crypto space is inherently private and there is nothing at all untoward about our own team maintaining a similar right to privacy.

We have provided openness and transparency where it is important - in all of our communications, our openness, our social channels and most of all in our source code. I urge you to study all of our Tech Lead Jojapoppa's GitHub repos for the Fedora Project. You will find a large collection of fully open source repos dating back to well over a year (just for our own work) that illustrates several key things, such as:
  - a commitment to continuous development
  - dedication to high quality, open source code
  - significant improvements upon all of the repos that we forked for the Fedora project

For instance - the Fedora Tips wallet that we rebuilt at the start of our project had not been touched for several years before we came along. The first thing we did was a major program of security patches, updates and hardening before releasing to the community.

As for suggestions that we are in some way untoward because we have not shared our personal linkedin profiles, well I must reject that entirely. Apart from our right to privacy, if we were behaving as you suggest then it would be a relatively trivial matter to create a set of fake linkedin profiles. I am sure that you have seen the kind of thing I refer to - and in fact some fake profiles can as you know be very convincing. In fact, fake profiles seem to be the very first thing that dubious operations like to implement!!

Now if you would like to know a little more about my background then of course I could discuss at length my 25+ year career in IT.  A lot of the discussion would nonetheless but quite dull sadly! I could talk about my university days when I studied systems programming on old school c/unix, or how I learnt GUI development coding in C++ on X-Windows Solaris workstations before businesses in the commercial world even used a GUI interface on their green screen terminals.

I could tediously drone on and on about engineering at banks with c on OS/2 back when IBM dreamed of being relevant to small scale computers, or teaching my teams about OO development in the 90's, or my time as a technical architect and analyst after I became a team lead. I could go into the intricate (and extremely dull) nuances of the last 15 years of my career as a software dev project manager, wrangling teams of coders to build the solutions to a problem that a customer was unable to articulate.  In fact, most of the platforms that I have coded on no longer exist as they have been superseded by newer technology.

Does any of that make us more real as people? I know I'm sincerely boring myself as I recount the past!!  :D

But please - continue the discussion and keep firing questions at us. It's only through that dialogue that we can share and improve.

It's also apparent that you are also happy to maintain your privacy - a quick study of your BTCtalk page at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1938190 reveals no personal details of yourself or any of your team. 

Am I perhaps missing something here? I'm sorry if I am - but it appears that there are different standards at play.

As you wrote, we asked for a link and not a summary background of your team. Whatever you wrote could be just a made up story/summary of your " team" members. How do we even know that there is a team? Maybe just one person operation?

If you don't want to provide links/profile of your team, there is NO transparency. As you said you provide transparency when it is important. One of the most important facts about any project is team authenticity. And in this case of this project, you are denying to provide info about them.

Also just to remind you that ICOEthics is not selling anything and for this reason, we don't have a necessity to expose ourselves to scammers and criminals.

But your project,  on the other hand, asking for money for investors and at the same time hiding your team information(face/profile) - investors will stay away from shady projects like this.

After so many scams promoted by Tokensuite/Bountysuite, people/investors are learning to stay away from anything that those companies touch. Having this project being promoted by them and on top of that, you are hiding your team information, this is not a good way to start, but its a very good way to tell everyone to stay away from your project.

Hello all,

Given the recent days, here is a summary of our situation:

As you are probably aware, the Fedora Project is currently running a bounty program, in order to grow our community. We have always stated that we are devs first and foremost - we are NOT marketers!

So for the last one and a half years we did no marketing of any kind and focused entirely on dev until very recently.

We engaged Tokensuite to run our bounty, based on word of mouth reference. So far the people of Tokensuite have demonstrated to us that they are professional and decent.

This week we discovered on BTCTalk that there are some people who apparently do not like Tokensuite (you may have seen the posts). The primary reason appears to be historic but it far predates our knowledge of, or engagement with Tokensuite. So there is a lot of posting of negative content. There are also unreasonable demands of the Fedora Project team, such that we reveal our personal & private details.

Privacy concerns are central to the world of crypto, as the members of this community are aware. All people enjoy a right to privacy, we would never demand anybody reveal personal data.

I point out that none of the people attacking us are doing so publicly - ALL of them use an alias. Apparently it is a case of: "Do as I say but not as I do".

The information that we did provide is the standard and detailed information that all quality projects share - the details of our Github repos, our plans and the technical details of our team to illustrate our competence.

Furthermore - the people attacking us are suggesting that we are running a scam. Some facts:

- We are NOT running an ICO
- We NEVER ask people to invest in Fedora Gold
- We DO NOT provide financial advice
- We never say "buy/sell"

What we have done, which you can see from the long history in our social channels is:

- Rebuild the TIPS wallets and upgrade TIPS security
- Develop a strategy for FED Gold when it was obvious Tips is a end of life
- Work full time, with a team of nearly 10, for one and half years. NO pay. NO investment. NO returns

We also created all of these Fedora Project communities for people to come together, talk, share information, and, yes, attack us when they feel like it.

In a few weeks our bounty program will be complete and the bounty rewards will be distributed as we promised. Perhaps reserve judgement until we have broken a promise.

If BTC continues with overall monthly growth it will likely attract an new wave of crypto interest and investors like it always does (read in Captain Obvious voice).  When that new group look to diversify and discover alts they'll naturally look to acquire some established top 50-100 alts that seem like "safe bets".  I think fringe alts like FED will appeal to those same people for smaller sum investment since it's a lesser known project and for that reason alone has huge potential as more people park their lunch money there.  I'm talking about small $50-$200 HODL buys.  The same cash that you'd blow at a casino or night out and instead take a chance on something like this. 

I know that's not the spirit or purpose of Fedora Gold but those inexpensive buys could help fuel its success.  This community will be what we make of it, and this forum will certainly be referenced before many decide to join the Fedora Gold project for what can do or to just speculate on its coin value growth.  No need to agree with each other or the Admin but lets keep the chatter constructive and build something.

I had TIPS for years and sadly that project was going nowhere.  Fedoragold has "more" potential.  Time will tell how much more potential but FED is better than staring at a wall with TIPS.  There's an actual project now, active DEVS, and increasing social media exposure. 

Feel free to dive in and start digging up some FED coin!

What happened was the folks running the mining pool at fednote got out of synch with the chain, our tech lead has spent the last few days working with them to fix it. We've also helped them implement procedures to make sure it does not happen again.

It seems like our hash rate is now climbing up quite nicely, so the network is strong.

Please provide any concrete evidence that:

 - Our network has been compromised
 - Anybody has had FED coin stolen/hacked in any way
 - Any aspect of the project is fraudulent

You may wish to refer to the roadmap on our website http://fedoragold.com - that will allow you to review the activities that we have planned for (and completed), and also the activities that we continue to work on.

You can also follow the social links to the other forums where the community congregates, review the GitHub repositories that we have actively worked on for 1 1/2 years (with numerous commits - perhaps you can spot a fatal flaw in our source code), or any other details.

Once you have done so - perhaps you can then come back and demonstrate how, exactly, your claims can be verified. Because until you can demonstrably verify your ambit claims they are nothing more than that - the vague, negative and unsubstantiated claims of a somebody in a bad mood. For reasons entirely unknown to us - since none of our core team have ever met you, done business with you, or transacted with you in any way.

Definitely! That's one of the existing key features. Since FED coin is part of the CryptoNote family, it's a privacy coin by default.

Wallets are always 100% private. Users can choose to make specific transactions visible on the chain by attaching payment ID's when when they transact.

Unfortunately Coinexchange never returned the swapped Tips to the project team before the exchange shut down. The last messages we received from Coinexchange alleged that the CE Exchange Tips wallet had become corrupted, and that they were unable to send them to us so that we could destroy them.

We pressed them repeatedly to send us the wallet.dat file so that we could verify their claim, however they did not return the wallet nor any of the Tips. Shortly before they closed they stopped replying to our messages entirely and we received only silence.

As to the ultimate fate of the swapped Tips - well that is anybody's guess. I would imagine that anybody with a modest amount of knowledge could study the blockchain and come to their own conclusions.
