Hi all ...

first , i wanna ask a question....Do you hate bitcoin and crypto in general?

i guess the answer is NO because if you hate bitcoin, then i wonder what you are doing here....

but to be sincere, ive come to discover that most or should i say some people without any tangible reason hate bitcoin and cryptocurrency and cant wait for it to fail so they can watch the investors cry while they laugh on the other side and probably say "i warned them, but they refused to listen"

i was reading a thread on a particular forum today and to be honest with you all, i was disheartened by the level of ignorance some people can display, i mean if this guys were the government or bank owners and maybe workers as well, their hatred for bitcoin and crypto would have been understandable because they can easily be put out of business if crypto becomes generally accepted , but this guys are ordinary citizens like me and you reading this...i mean who doesnt like freedom , our current financial system have made us their slaves bcus we give them our money to hold for us and when we need it , they choose when to give it to us ...but with crypto, we are free from all this madness, i wonder why some guys will not support the idea , one of their reasons is that bitcoin price is too volatile and cant be used as a means of storing money, they are other stable coins out there one can utilize if one doesnt want the up and downs of bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies , bashing and calling bitcoin and crypto in general a ponzi scheme i think is way out of it normal reasoning .

Most people you encounter are sheep and are against any and all change to their thinking and way of life, unwilling to accept anything that goes against the norm or is different.

it's quite unfortunate mate, I totally agree with you, people like this are the reason why most get discouraged to get into crypto, but I believe this won't last forever, soon enough, they all have their fingers to bite

Most definitely. I truly believe the die is cast and Bitcoin will be a daily part of everyone's life and then those same people who disbelieved will be praising it and clamoring for satoshis in the not-so-distant future.

To understand why people hate bitcoin you need ask yourself why do people hate other things then you'll understand where those hates are coming from.
For starters, people fear what they don't understand. We have some individuals who hate bitcoin because they don't understand it and those types might change their mindsets if you set aside time to educate them on what Bitcoin is all about.

Some individuals hate bitcoin not because they don't know what bitcoin is but because they due understand the potential bitcoin holds and they know it's a threat to their businesses, investments etc and just like the government bodys they become afraid of the technology. In this category we have the likes of Bill Gate

Some individuals hate bitcoin because they believe it encourages criminal activities like money laundering, drug trafficking, kidnapping and blackmailers requesting for ransom anonymously making it difficult to trace this transaction to apprehend the culprits.

Some people hate bitcoin because of its volatility believing the currency is been highly manipulated by the big boys and also due to the founder been anonymous they believe both Satoshi and bitcoin are scam

Some people hate bitcoin due to it has no physical backing like the fait currency they're used to (which is built on lies) and not reversible in cases of fraud. You need understand that for every reason why people love bitcoin there are others that hate the currency for that same reason. Also I do believe for every individual or organization that wants bitcoin to fail do understand the potential the currency holds to destruct the worlds economy that's why they want the technology to fail for their selfish reasons & these category of haters can be found in the privacy and investment industry.

Most people hate bitcoin because they don't understand it, and think it is 'fake digital money'.

I remember reading similar stories when the internet first started. People and the media would ask why is it needed if everyone has a phone? Why send email when you can call or write a letter?

The opportunities of blockchain will probably only be fully appreciated after the fact when adoption, dapps etc are more widely used and more advanced.

pretty long read but i love the fact you hit the nail on the head, like my people would say "one mans food is another man's poison", youve made me understand that different people see same thing differently attimes, but the technology called blockchain which is where bitcoin emerged from is a life changing one and it was created to make life easier for everyone around the world , its something anyone in his or her right thinking mind would support but like you said, we will always find people who hate a thing for the same reason we like that thing, but it breaks my heart when ever i come across this set of people .

Yes tha is truly correct mate the cause of their bad experience because the invest in bitcoin or crypto without complete knowledge and understanding what is bitcoin or crypto as investment.

The reason why some people hate Bitcoin and want it to fall like a crab is that they see some of the people they hate that is growing because of it and never knew what is happening inside and they don't even have an idea of entering it because of their egos.
Also, the people who used Bitcoin for scamming is one of the major issue of why some people hate bitcoin. They have an impression of Bitcoin is a scam platform. There's a lot of things why they hate it and most of them really had no idea with it.

You hit the nail on the head.  Generally people are afraid of what they dont understand.  Especially when we talk about "money", it could possibly alter the way people live and again that threatens people.  People dont like change.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are very threatening to a lot of the rich and powerful in the world. Moreso than just its role as a potentially disruptive form of currency, the potential of crypto suggests that it can play a fundamental role in a paradigmatic shift in society and global economy. People who are doing quite well in the fabric of today's society are, of course, dedicated to protecting the status quo and themselves by extension.

Now, that doesn't explain why Auntie Sue and Barber Joe hate crypto. They would stand to benefit from a shakeup that dethrones the bankers and politicians. They hate it because they don't know it stands to benefit and the ones it threatens are actively working to mis-educate the masses to hate crypto.

People dont like change

That was all I had to say but needed you to understand some few reason why people could hate bitcoin before I hit the nail on the head. As enthusiast of bitcoin we shouldn't be borded about the reason why people dislike bitcoin (because there'll always be those that will hate irrespective of the successful story of bitcoin, you can't please everyone). Instead what we should be more concerned about are the reason why bitcoin is love and improve on those reason to make it better.

Example;
People love bitcoin because using it for long distance transaction that normally takes days/weeks to process, in matter of minutes/hours you can complete your transaction using bitcoin with even less fees. Now we have to improve on that, making transaction confirmable in matter of seconds. These are the things the community should focus more on and not the hate spreading around.

Majority of people who hate cryptocurrencies are just ignorant like those who were during the rise of the internet while others dread the idea of cryptocurrency holding ground because of fear that all their acquired wealth will become useless so they fight the idea with all they have to protect their imaginary wealth.

There will always be people who just hate something based on nothing but his/her own myopic view of things. And the fact is that we can not never please everybody. Some people have their own strong negative opinions on Bitcoin but the thing is that eventually no one can stop Bitcoin. Bitcoin do not need people who are not open-minded and who are not for innovations and change. I am aware that we have some famous people who are expressing their dislikes of Bitcoin from time to time and we have to let them say whatever they want to say. Time will come when they will realize they are wrong and that they could never stop this powerful change right before our very eyes. 

And there are already some of those people who hates crypto in the past but are now using it.
I am sure in the future they would also change their mind and try to use crypto.
And I think those who hates it doesn't even try it out or if they did they just provably been scam .

Lot's of people (well, maybe hundreds or thousands) get scammed via ponzi that use Bitcoin as its name. They blame Bitcoin but not their stupidity and the ponzi scheme.

The most famous argument that I heard from people who hate crypto is: the money came out of nowhere, it's a scam and you'll lose your money, it's a bubble, "I invest but then lose all of them so it's a scam", and so on.

So in short: they hate it because they lose didn't get rich quickly.

Not totally I think. I’ve encountered some who’s been so discouraged to the point of not wanting to try anymore and even discouraging others who would want to try. They’re the people who lack enough knowledge in cryptocurrency and been victims of scams. They’ve lost much so they got traumatized and they don’t want it to happen to them and to other people again so they are trying to warn and discourage them.

Could be one of any of the following reasons:

• there might be a conflict of interest and bitcoin support takes away their business
• the believe using crypto is supporting many illegalities such as drug trafficking, money laundering etc
• myth that crypto is for terrorists
• simply not tech savy
• might be from a certain generation that believes old is gold
• simply don't understand this technology
• might be there job to hate crypto, or they are the law enforcers

This reminds me of my colleague who was bartered and shattered during the early days of 2017, she invested much lately into Bitcoin and during the process of lost almost all her saves within a very short time frame. She told me never to try invest into cryptocurrency, because of it volatility in nature, probably she's right because many have lost their saves. It took me time and courage before venture into the world of cryptocurrency, and never regret it till now becasue know when to buy and sell make the difference.

Simply because those people are lack of knowledge, they are coward to invest into bitcoin and crypto. They are truly negative about it, even they don't really know the good features of bitcoin has, they've been thinking about the result even they're not one of the investors of bitcoin and crypto. And they felt they've been scam by it, but the truth is not. That's the way they are thinking about it.

You are totally right. The major causes of this dilemma is awareness. Some people are finding it difficult to believe that how can you just change something called digital currency to fiat. They still hold the opinion that it is a bubble and they are waiting for it to burst. Fortunately and unfortunately, Bitcoin and other key cryptocurrencies are pumping strong than deflating. This assertion will not last

I feel bad for all of those she lost, but that’s part of the process of investing. It’s a bad experience, but you learn from it. There are those who’ll try again, and there are those who won’t. I guess that person invested a lot and wasn’t aware of where she invested in, or that she didn’t take care of her investments. Some people hate Bitcoin & Crypto because they think it’s a scam due to people scamming other people and using bitcoin/crypto as an excuse to get greedy, thus giving a bad name to BTC. Some aren’t knowledgeable about the topic and don’t care. Or there are those who aren’t open to changes, especially with technical stuff on the internet.

These are uneducated fools they do not understand anything about Bitcoin and we can't do anything with it, partly to blame on this is the mainstream media who keep preaching that Bitcoin is bad for us and it's a Ponzi scheme, one day, they will just wake up that everybody is using Bitcoin and making money out of it, and they are very much late.

To add to some reasons here why people hate bitcoin and crypto? They want the price to go down further so that they can accumulate more to HODL. Honestly, I agree that most of them don't really understand bitcoin and when they do, their hate is slowly subsiding. And those you see more people and banks hate most, they are just pretending they hate bitcoin. They are the great pretenders like Jamie Dimon. I thought he is really a hater but instead a lover anyway.

I think it all boils down to open mindedness. Some people are more prone than others to be willing to change and explore the unknown. Some people prefer to sit in comfort because of fear. They believe that what has  been will always be rather than evolve

I stopped explaining to people about Bitcoin after watching on TV the news about ponzi and hyip using Bitcoin and blaming Bitcoin, let them hate something that makes you rich and change your life, you don't have to explain to defend the mainstream media and adoption will explain this to them.

There are some people who want to be rich always so they don't like to be decentralized adoption is happening so they all are actually doing things to ruin the future of crypto currencies and other reasons are rumors about crypto currencies so they think people using cryptos are criminals so we they think don't have to use it.

Both have answers though. Just because it is longstanding or an ongoing issue, doesn't mean it doesn't have an answer :)

Bitcoin challenges conventional wisdom of what 'money' and what 'value' represents or is. The current metric for assessing what 'money' is doesn't sit nicely with the thinking around Bitcoin. As a result, it gets a lot of opposition.

I can't help but love him
