Title: [Want to share] Ultra Pro 360 PT
Post by: dolphriends on May 03, 2019, 12:02:57 AM
Hey everyone

I was trying to come up with something to protect my few slabbed coins.  I didn't need a box since I only have a couple and came across the ultra pro 360 pt.  The slabs fit great.  Just wanted to share this, I think I got it around 5.00 but, you can probably find them for less :)

OK, that's it from your friendly Dolphin

Does it move around at all? Looks like a fair bit of wiggle room.

I use lighthouse slab pages (https://www.amazon.com/Lighthouse-ENCAP-Certified-Holders-Premier/dp/B00147FALM/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8) to keep my slabs safe. Works well and let's you keep other things with the coins eg the ravenbit pouches.

Pretty snug fit, but if you shake it real hard you can get it to move a little ::)

You can also buy NGC or PCGS boxes, they are perfect fit for all slabs. Not sure of ICG.

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but do the Kialara items fit?

They don't fit, they are a little too long.  I keep my Kialara bar in the cover it came with in a safe place.

Kialara is having custom cases made so no point using anything else and risking damaging your bars.

I would take your Kialara bars out of the plastic sleeves they came in. I  believe just the Moon and Hydra series bars came in plastic sleeves, and the others in a padded styrofoam type sleeve. The padded sleeves should be fine to leave your bars in.  I would recommend putting your Moon and Hydra bars in this 10 Oz silver bar holder (https://m.air-tites.com/5-oz-and-10-oz-silver-bar-holders.htm#.XMu1zJZOmaM) until max releases his cases / permanent storage. They must have changed their cases a bit too as my new Hydra bars fit almost perfectly in them, my moon bars fit well, but not quite as well. I’m pretty sure those two bar types are the exact same size.

I would not recommend these boxes to hold slabs just FYI - https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F291248103321 - I have found them to be pretty cheaply made. They bend easily and don’t hold slabs all that firmly.

You are correct, I picked up a few of the 10 oz. but the quality isn't really there as you said, the kialara escalator elevator bars don't fit in them.
