If the Altcoin market follows BTC price rally then the bullish market is confirmed due to new FIAT entering on crypto market. If not then the BTC rally today is just the result of altcoin holders that shift to BTC which might result to price pull back in few days. Well, let's see. The rally is good enough for a momentum growth, I can't confirm a bull yet on my own until we can comfortable in the $6,000 zone before I can go to sleep...  :o Anything can happen with what I see.

How can you say that altcoins investors suddenly shifts their funds to bitcoin? Did they just woke up today and then decided to pour their cash suddenly and then exit with profits?

I think we are already in the bullish cycle that's why investors are ready, not just from altcoins ecosystem but new face are pumping fresh blood in the market.

It depends on the market and it not goes like the way we anticipate it. I cannot say that when altcoins follow bitcoins trend it will be a new fiat or fresh money in the market as we need to have a confirmation on its overall market. Bitcoin pump this day is a good bounce above 50 rsi but it is not that good because we are almost near to 75 - 80% RSI that i am watching and i really want to saw it first how this candle close for this entire day and think on the other bias.

many altcoins are shitcoins, have no use in the real world, are meaningless projects and every day shitcoin more appear than to become great competitors of shitcoins that already exist and many investors already realize this. That's why people sell their altcoins to buy bitcoin. Look at what these altcoins promise, you get scared. People will not sell their bitcoins to buy shitcoins again

I'm a "serious" holder of a couple or so altcoins, and then give a handful more for casual fun, and I still have to agree with you. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't use the majority of the coins I use. Monero, maybe, okay, if I really needed to keep things super private, but then I'd have to convince people to accept it (and I have a hard time doing that for Bitcoin already!). Litecoin, I like it and I could use it, but Bitcoin's still a first option. There's no place I shop or pay at that accepts LTC and not BTC.

Save those few, sure I got coins with interesting ideas but at the end of the day, nothing close to the practical use I have for Bitcoin. And that's proven by my own personal spending history which is 100% in BTC.

So, OP, duh altcoin money eventually flows back to BTC!

I dont think it is a new thing to have such condition, I can say that your condition is good as it means a profit for you.

Relax dude, we still see further market success that will come when the market is very difficult for us to determine, indeed this is a fast and high increase, of course, with simultaneous entrance funds there may be good potential so they dare to invest, I am quite happy with this pumping, but it would be nice to invest and wait for the results to arrive.

It is as OP says the price increase in BTC have only 2 reason
First there are new money that gets in on the market,
Or second the bag holders of alt-coin are just switching their alt to BTC.
And base on your folio it seems that most of your holdings are being traded to BTC and that is the reason why your Sats folio is getting low while your dollar value increase.

I think today, and bitcoin can go to the higher price after I see in yesterday, the price gets an increase for every price and it could break the higher price.
And now, the trend still going to go up but we need to be careful because we don't know if that is a trap or not and everything can happen at this moment.
Make sure you can take your profit while you can and don't miss the right time to buy bitcoin at a low price.
And if the price can break $6k, then I think in the next week, we might see a new higher price ever because we are at a low price since the last year.

When altcoin holders see the price increase on bitcoin they will try to utilize the price increase to make profits so they were converting alts into btc but most of the price increase coming from outside of crypto investors so new money which is not huge impact when people convert back their alts.

I feel like a lot of people are still using too much cash. In spain for example there are a ton of places where they still don't even have card readers... Like wth...

We look forward to this new bullish trend. I think Bitcoin will break the current price and reach $ 7,000 in May. If this happens. it will serve as a bomb that stimulates all Altcoins simultaneously with new price increases. It helps the crypto market grow.

I do not think this is true. If we take BTC Dominance as a measure (which I believe means nothing), the index is on the rise, meaning that BTC controls the total transactions.
Sometimes it is the opposite, as the rise/crash in some altcoins leads to the rise of the entire market (even BTC.)
So, in short, the psychological factor is that everyone tries to join the market whenever they feel better. News plays an important role in amplifying such rises ----> Bitcoin market cap stands at $100bn (https://www.cryptopolitan.com/bitcoin-market-cap-stands-at-100bn-currency-holding-strong/).

Oh, that is why the price of altcoin is not increasing these days, unlike bitcoin.
I posted recently that only bitcoin is rising but altcoin is kept falling that I thought will also increase because the bitcoin price is increasing.

I hope some of the coins that I hold will jump soon as bitcoin do.

Actually, whatever ways it choose to go; Bitcoin will definitely benefit from the growth in it price. Altcoins holders selling for Bitcoin will create an atmosphere of the price rise or if new fiats are entry into the market, still, it will benefit Bitcoin growth. Lets watch how this happen.

All bitcoin need is to keep up the phase we are in to, bitcoin can go over $6000 but considering the movements there will be some struggle going through $6000 further might as well go up and down with passing weeks and still it will continue to go up. If there are some new events in bitcoin we can expect more to it but if the bitcoin community stays silent then we can never experience the historical $18000 again.

From the date 3rd may 2019, we saw a great pump in the price of bitcoins which would end up on the peak of the graph in some few more months. Bitcoins started showing us the growth and the arising of the bullish markets which could also be followed by the major altcoins if peoples don't sell them off in exchange to bitcoin to hold majority of bitcoins for the future to see a really good price hitting the markets.

We can expect the altcoin markets to follow the bitcoin markets as the markets have been red a few months after the mid 2017 and this is the time now to show some immense growth and to survive in the bullish markets henceforth.

Exactly, Bitcoin is unpredictable so I don't agree that one particular date could define anything, especially not for long term. Besides, I don't think that I have nervs for any kind of predictions at all.

We don't have any other options but to watch whatever directions this market will go, the fluctuations will continue and who knows what will happen tomorrow, we will wait what destiny brings to our investment and how fate will be declared after some time, everything will work accordingly it's all about how we will appreciate everything.

I was surprised to see the price going to $5800 again, I thought we were having a healthy corrections after the price goes to $5600. So probably we are going to the moon and touch $6k. That's already an achievement and it seems we are in the bullish zone already.

So I guess the price trend will be going up and we don't need to wait for any dates because it's obvious that the market is recovering and investors confidence are back.

As a crypto trader, I completely understand the importance of trends and following it up. Right now, I use FreshForex and I follow up the trend easily with them using their Market Analysis facility. So this not just gives me comfort but also gives me the calmness that is so much required when we talk about achieving better results.

Wow, I just can't believe that this is true. If that was really be the reason for the big bullish trend, then definitely we will reach the $6000 target. I've heard that before somewhere. I just can't remember where, that many investors will shift and transfer their altcoin into bitcoin. This is the result and here it is. It really affected the price and the market went to the moon.

This for sure won't be any trap. Usually big whales make a lot of holders sell their bitcoins by creating a panic situation where the price goes down and the big whales than buy coins at the price from dip. Currently, the price for bitcoins has even crossed $5700 so there is no such trap and what I think is most of the big whales have already started filling their pockets fastly in some good dips and are ready to hold for long term to multiple the amount atleast 10x.

We can soon see bitcoins crossing $6000 which would then make us easy to stay more secure about the future of bitcoins as well as all other major altcoins. Bull markets are on the door and will anytime enter the current markets.

It has gained some good and plausible weight in the past few hours and I think that there will be more addition in the value of the coin. This is great to see the market rising because it has actually sparked the FOMO thing again. People are looking at Bitcoin the way they would look at it back in 2017. There is immense inflow of funds in the crypto market because it is considered as a good opportunity for speculation.

Bitcoin will not be decided on any single day, not today, not yesterday and not tomorrow. Bitcoin is something super volatile and it could be anything one day and just the opposite the next day. For example if the prices was 8 thousand dollars on 5th of may do you really think it would mean anything ? It could have dropped back to these prices and lower as well on the 6th or it could be 10 thousand on 6th, which means what happens on 5th doesn't matter as much as you guys think.

The important part is which direction we are going and how much support we have when we are going there. If we are at barely 6 thousand levels and forcing to break that the important thing is not the 6 thousand levels, the important thing is where is the support, if support is at 4500 it is bad, if its at 5600 than its great.

A lot of people has been saying that there is going to be a bull run once this price gets up to six thousand dollars. I don't really know if that is true, cause I can remember that they once said it was going to be at five thousand dollars which never happened. I have been monitoring the price all this while that it started to rise, and today it has reached $5,700, I don't really know what's going to be next are we going to see the price move up to the $6000 since we have reached the month of May?

Things like this will always change because nothing can be ascertained precisely in the crypto world. The Bitcoin price trend will always have an impact on Altcoin and the possibility that Altcoin prices will also have an impact on changes in Bitcoin prices. This is a system of mutual development and we must follow this path.

I am also expecting that to happen in May because 2019 is a very important milestone in this market. I believe that if BTC can achieve the price of $ 7000, all limits can be broken and Bitcoin may soon return to the highest price of all time this year or next year. I also don't know any particular day for bitcoin price increase, what I can see is that we seem to have entered a bull time and the expectation henceforth is for price improvement or steady increase in price. All indicators are pointing for a bull at the moment.

It seems that the bull is starting to run now and probably gonna ride a rocket to the moon. But remember this Bitcoin is struggling to break the $5600 resistance before and it takes almost a month before it finally reaches the peak to break and create a new resistance level. I didn't mention any exact day. And as you can see. Altcoin price is not following the BTC pump so I believe bullish is not yet confirmed. We could not say that this is a sign of bullish run as we have in this situation before that after market price rise up it will become a big whale traps but this market up slow movement is better than seeing the whole crypro currency market in dip. So hopefully that this current development is what we are waiting for.

Bitcoin price is going to reach $6000 tomorrow, I think. It moved up really quick to the next resistance level just like some analysts has predicted this week. So the next thing that follows is going to be $6000, because it has already reached $5,968.20. As for altcoins they haven't been going up that much, just a little movement up, and it is only the top altcoins that are going up, ethereum, litecoin, ripple, Bitcoin cash and the rest of them that are topping the list of altcoins. The smaller ones seems to be going nowhere.

I believe we do not need to wait for a particular day or month for the prices of Bitcoin to rise high. There are two factors here. First is the uncertainty and precision. There is uncertainty in market and you just cannot predict with 100% precision's. The second is that there is no definite or specific time for Bitcoin to rise. i think this not bull trap.market increase slowly and smoothly.usually if this bull trap price suddenly pumped in short time.but the current condition very different.investors believe that this is the moment for cryptocurrency recovery.

I truly believe that it is a bullish trend in the market currently. You are getting your value raised and to be honest, the lost trust in Bitcoin is kind of restored due to the rise in the prices. The previous rise you are talking about was artificial rise and was not really a bullish market which is the reason why people refrained from investing and kept on HODLING. I believe this is what we have been waiting for.

It is very clear that funds are flowing from outside into cryptocurrencies market and it is not from flipping.  We know that when investors are flipping within cryptocurrencies market it will not have any infect in the market capitalization but we are seeing changes in the market capitalization and that is the sign that money is flowing from fiat to cryptocurrency markets.

Well this is obvious and there should be no doubt in the fact that there is a flow from fiat to cryptocurrency for there is great opportunity for investors to make money and I mean big money.  Couple of months back, Bitcoin was as down as $3000 and today it crossed $6000 which is enough motivation for someone to transfer ones money from fiat to crypto.

well, one thing is sure; the low is set. what we don't know now is when the rally will really take off. 70% of the smart money is already into the markets. the remaining 30% of the smart money will get into the markets soon. I feel the market will remain sluggish for quite sometime before we see any huge moves. but who cares? I have bought my tokens and am simply waiting for what holds in the future. There will be a lot of noise now, but none of that noise can change what is to happen in the future.

The factor is not only sifting funds of altcoin holder to bitcoin but it is also the effect of bitcoin adoption. Bitcoin price will not go down or go up forever, most of traders are understand the patern of bitcoin price movement. I guess when bitcoin price reach around $10.0000 then the price will fall around $7.000 because people who buy bitcoin at $3.000 -$5.000 will feel statisfied if they can get 100% profit.

We really don't know what is the main reason for this bullish run, it might be the adoption or might be the trading. Only one thing is for sure, both factors provides posiyive trend in the market and that was a lot to cherish for.

As I look to my wallet lately, I'm shocked because btc now exceed the $6k mark. That is quite impressive. Hmm, I think it's the right time for me to invest more while the hyoe lasts lol. 

Probably it is because of the involvement of Fidelity, a Boston-based asset management firm.  The involvement of Fidelity surely push the price of Bitcoin since it brings trust to wall street by safeguarding its cryptocurrency investor.

if you still confidence to invest more, i think it is worth to try. As long you keep aware with your assets so not miss chance to sell in profit. If me, i already hold a little amount of bitcoin because only have Ethereum for now, actually little regret about it.  ;D

I don't think so altcoin holders will shift to BTC in this bearish altcoin market, it will be a huge loss if they do so.
This rise in BTC price seems to be much solid as compared to sky rocket price in 2017. According to my observation, this time we will see a consistent growth of BTC price which will be stable than before.

This is not just the case in crypto but almost in every market. This fluctuation give space to new investments and this is something we are having in crypto market right now. And yeah, you do the TA and FA to see the expected rise in the price of Bitcoin. You either get the data for every rise for the past weeks or could run a time series test to see what value you get but above all, follow the market signals.

Bitcoin continues to go up and already reaches $6800 as of this moment. If this kind of price trend continue, bitcoin might reach $10k or above at the yearend. This uptrend might caused by new bitcoin investors and the continued adoption of bitcoin in many part of the world. These new batch of investors with significant funds if combines with the current investors can lift the price of bitcoin and other crypcurrencies.

We all predicted the top incorrectly and either sold too early or have a very negative short. I think one clue to the top of bitcoin can be when we get alts to start gaining again which is exactly what happened back in Dec 2017.

If you look at ETHBTC, XMRBTC and most of the popular alts, they basically formed a low again the ratio for BTC within a week of the BTC all time high price of $20K. So money flowed from alts into Bitcoin and then flowed from Bitcoin into alts and then eventually the alts bubble burst, and major whales took their profits into fiat, it seemed.

If this is a repeat then its important to watch the ratios very closely. We can't predict the top but if we see some buying momentum with the major alts we might be a few days or a week of a bitcoin top pivot.

And I guess that we have all decided to follow the uptrend to make bitcoin continue to grow in price, the only way we can guarantee the future of bitcoin is if we community strong stay by bitcoin, wherein we have to stop dumping unnecessarily, unnecessary dumping is taking premature profit to solve our problems without returning it back to the market, I know we will always have dumping, but that should only be because we are trading to increase our investment and holdings.

If we really want the activities from bulls to have effect on the market greatly, we should keep holding on every increase, except we see the whales see the whales striking which is easy to know.

I believe that the price trend have been discovered already and all we can say is moon, moon and more moon, the price of bitcoin have been going up for the past 7 days regardless of the fact that the chinese went on holiday and also on the fact that a lot of coins were stolen from binance exchange recently, on a norms, this kind of news always cause a dump in the price of coin, but the reverse became the case this time because all I see is moon.

Achieving a high price will make the market recover well if Bitcoin can stabilize during this time as this is a great opportunity for new coins to rise. I think now that Bitcoin needs to reach $8000 in June then we can be sure of the uptrend in this market but if Bitcoin doesn't reach that price then the bear market will happen once again and this time things will get worse in 2019
