Title: 10,000$ - Where to invest?
Post by: MadGamer on May 04, 2019, 02:05:08 PM
I'm going to make this thread self-moderated because I know how spammy the threads with my kind of question could get.

I currently have about 10,000$ in holdings (BTC). I was wondering If someone could suggest what I could do to make them grow?

Take into consideration that I'm not interested in any type of interest based investment (MLM, Ponzi schemes, etc.) and I'm also not experienced with trading.

MLM and ponzi crypto is not good options, personally i also hate crypto with mlm or ponzi schame models
i think its better if you try to learn more about Proof of stake (POS) and masternode coin
so, while you hold your coin in your wallet, you will receive a good rewards too my friend
maybe this link below will help you to understand about POS and masternode coins

It is not an easy question actually. If you don't have any other btc holdings, i think you need to hold at least %50 on btc. For the rest, you can make a portfolio. Some high risk / high gain capacity coins, and some lower risk/low gain capacity coins.

For high risk/high gain, you should check some low market cap coins with a product or a community. For instance, i can suggest semux in that manner.

For lower risk/low gain, you can invest the most believed project you have and best exchange tokens. If you like stellar chain and feel like they will grow in value, buy some stellar or eos or maybe eth. About the exchange tokens, if the exchange is working nicely, tokens of it can be bought. Like bnb, kcs or any other exchange you like.

I prefer that you should invest in BTC because regular you will make at least 5 to 7% profit by buying at dump and selling at pump. You are not trade i know but trading isn't a critical task for now so before investing your money in BTC at first you need know a little knowledge about trading and scrolling YouTube you will get knowledge about trading. So best of luck.

They have 5 years experience in Bitcoin talk so surely they know how to invest in Bitcoin and altcoin. But they feel it was not more secure participation in this year so I suggest open some shops are most needs things in your city is the good way to earn money and knowledge. If you invest in MLM or Ponzi schemes and etc is your own risk so better you must analyse your friends and neighbours surely you can decide your own way.

Actually, the best thing you can do is just to keep the btc.
If you track the last couple of months, btc has consistently outperformed just about every other coin.

If you are looking to increase how much btc you own, then you can do set percentage trading with a stablecoin.
For example, you just trade your btc with tether, or dai, or true usd, or gemini or something.
It is important to use a stable coin so your percentage gains actually work.

sell your btc for a stable coin (I would recommend half of it, $5000 worth).
buy btc back again when you see it dip 3%.
Then immediately relist that btc for 5% more.
When the btc sells, wait until btc dips again 3% and buy, relist to sell for 5% and so on and so on.

Stick to your percentages and use a high volume exchange like binance and you will see 5% gains every week or so.

I think it would be a good idea to invest in projects that pay to keep their coins. Or buy masternod. There are also many trading bots in the crypt and forex. But perhaps the most reliable will be to keep your bitcoin with you.

Since you aren't experienced in trading just stay away from it and since you holding 10k in btc already why don't you just lock up and wait for better days ?? Btc investment is the only one that has higher guarantee in future will lowest risks

trade bitcoin with stable coins will not a good choice for me,,
maybe you should add more options, not only a stable coins,, because basicly the OP didn't have a good experience in trading activity
so, its better for the OP to hold a crypto with dividends and maybe an exchange token or coins will be a good options for the OP
but not all his/her capital, maybe a half from his/her capital my friend

Now that we are in a bull run although a very slow one, my bet are still on the top coin in the market namely Btc, Eth, Eos and Litecoin but I would like to invite you to take a peek on these two new coins Veil and Azart coins, seems to be a very good coin to invest one is a privacy coin with only 15 million supply, the other one is a gambling related coin which mineable.

Bitcoin moves high, so it is time to invest your money in Altcoins in BTC pairs. They are all cheap in that pair. However, please do not forget to only invest in top altcoins because risks of seeing them call into zero are really zero. The case will be different with shitty altcoins, that can easily fall into zero or nearly zero when devs abandon those shitty projects.

If I were you now then I would split my 10000.I would buy Bitcoin with 40% of my money. Because Bitcoin is always the safest option. Then I would buy the coins which in Top20 with 45% of my money. The risk may be more, but I think in the bull season, the altcoin prices will increase more than the bitcoin price. I would buy new tokens which I trust as a result of research with 10% of my money, . Finally,  I would trade daily with the rest of my money and try to expand my portfolio even more.

That amount is a large capital, in fact, here in my country in that amount of holdings, I can establish a good business and I can buy a for closed house too. If you don't have any experience yet in trading, I suggest to give time of study about in trading, then while doing it, try to buy coins in the exchange that has a good volume in the market and has a potential to increase more in the future or hold em as long as the coins are listed at the top 10 coins at the coinmarketcap.

with 10k USD there are many investment options that you can choose. You can join the IEO, or invest in some coins that have great potential such as BNB, Ltc, Eth and others.

all choices are very profitable now, or if you don't want to take a lot of risks, just hold your money in bitcoin.  Bitcoin is also currently increasing, so it's also profitable.

In my opinion, some of the money you need to invest in Bitcoin. What remains to be divided between the EOS, the Bitcoin Cash, the Ethereum and possibly Cardano or Neo.

You can hold BNB for join IEO, with 10000$ you can get 441 BNB or 4 lottery ticket.
I think BNB is a good coin, so you can invest + join IEO.  ;D

Split your deposit among top 20 altcoins on the market, because I believe that would be the best choice. Once the market recovers, BTC is going to show the great price increase, but experienced altcoins are going to be like a rocket.

With such a large amount of funds, you can invest in the long term, many good coins for the future such as ETH, BTC, BNB, TRX, BTT, those are a few suggestions from me, I am sure the coin can soar forward.

If you don't have any insider information just stay with BTC and keep them safe.

ETH used to be below $9 but only some lucky people and insiders were able to buy from that price. At that time, there were tons of other altcoins around, just like now. Who would knew? (I admit some smart people without insider information really knew)

Here is a quick guide:

Are you smart? (by "smart" I mean if you can do researches on alts and identify a good project. Many people think they can yet they fail anyway.)
If your answer is "no" > stay with BTC

Are you lucky?
If your answer is "no" > stay with BTC

Do you have insider information?
If your answer is "no" > stay with BTC

it's better to just hold on bitcoin because it's also profitable. You don't need to be confused to invest where bitcoin is also very profitable. there is no other coin as good as bitcoin when the bull run starts.

I'm going to assume that you want to stay in the cryptoworld and don't want to try investing in real state or stocks (since this thread is in the Altcoin board). If so, then my answer is simple: Diversify. Remember the famous quote: "Don't put all your eggs in one basket". Create a portfolio and invest in some altcoins.

Make some proper research about the coins you would like to invest in, as well as how big the allocation in your portfolio in said altcoins will be. If you go for this, I do recommend you to keep a bigger stash in BTC, something like 60% BTC and the rest in some altcoins. You'll take advantage of both market once the next bull market arrives: Bitcoin increasing in value, as well as altcoins getting pumped, increasing their value in satoshis so that you can cash out some decent profits in BTC.

I would say; why don’t you do the unusual ?
Go for tokens such as stellar, litecoin, Neo and waves;

If you have noticed coinmarketcap; you would realize that XIN has been increasing as well as reducing too
You can keep an eye on it.

Importantly; you need to ignore projects with so much hypes recently unless you can trade it daily
All hypes will end up in lows

If you are already holding 10k worth of btc i will suggest you to either keep holding it as btc is gearing up for massive bulls in coming months but ideally you can diversify a little like keep 5k in btc, 3k in eth and remaining 2k divide in 3 to 4 more coins like neo, ada, eos and icx.

you are right, but the benefits of investing in bitcoin will be very little if you don't invest in large capital. bitcoin will experience the earliest increase, and is followed by altcoin, but we cannot invest if we only have small capital.

Now, it is time for investors to wait and take profits when bitcoin surpass $6000 or $6200. Then, they should use those fiat from their sold bitcoins to find top altcoins which drops deeply and buy them all. Fortunately, investors can find such deeply dropped top altcoins very easily. Why not invest in top altcoins after taking profits with bitcoins?

If I had that capital right now, I would undoubtedly invest it in Forex, because for many years, when bitcoin was not even born, it was the most profitable way to obtain high returns on the internet, and $10k is the best amount to start properly.

But do you not have much knowledge of trading? In Forex that does not matter too much, because most serious and prestigious brokers offer tools of "copy-trading", social trading, or PAMM accounts, where trading experts are those who do all the work, and you only rewards them with a small percentage of your benefits.

In addition, there are brokers where you do not need to exchange your bitcoins for dollars, but everything is handled through bitcoin.

My suggestion is just start acquiring trading knowledge at first. Trading knowledge will give you some ideas about when to buy and when to sell. It will prevent you from suffering losses. Speculations always take place in the market of cryptocurrency. Therefore crypto knowledge is essential for anyone wanting to involve in cryptocurrency. Ripple, binance coin, are some of good investment.

Ethereum,  litecoin and ripple that three coins is best to make your money grow after few years but having bitcoin still is good because you will earn more money. If you like trying some new altcoins to invest, I would like to recommend Eterbase (XBASE). Eterbase is a second-wave exchange. Using combined experience in the financial industry and cryptocurrency exchanges, it identifies the best practices of existing exchanges and eliminated the bad to set the new gold-standard for digital asset exchanges. For my own opinion, I think Eterbase would be like Binance someday.

If you have $10.000 and if you ask in here what to invest you would be loose it. First of all you need to make your own researches and gain your beliefs. Ofcourse you can have the other peoples ideas but at the end of the day even you loose or win you will be with your own. So in win or loose you need to decide where to invest and ofcourse you will choose the right time as well.

If you want to take advantage when Bitcoin price is in green to make a profit then it's better to find coins that have been too long in a dip price. There is a big potential from there for the price to grow in a shor time. But also, you need to be more careful if bitcoin get a sudden jump as usually altcoins will bleed again.

however we must be prepared for any situation that can occur in the market. Bitcoin investment may now be good, but the price has started to rise steadily, for those who have already invested when bitcoin fell yesterday must have felt a huge profit. but many altcoins also have good potential.

Lowest : Keep your money into bank, invest on building
High : trading, gambling

Personally I'm doing something different called copy trading.
Recently I joined MIA so I'm sharing profit about 60:40

The amount of money I think is not small to start investing. I personally dare to invest in the top 10 coins and not focus on one coin. But buy some coins like BTC, ETH, BNB, BTG, and BCH. Perhaps the most interesting is the BNB coin because it has a very fast development. And the most money to buy BNB coins.

Invest on projects that have marketcap with less than $5 million but already has a working platform or own blockchain. Also take into consideration these factors: developers activity and capacity, competition, uniqueness, viabillity of use cases and if it has strong community backing.

I am currently re-entering into crypto after big pause and had the same question on my mind. With some random research I believe that nothing has changed in the crypto world.

Its just having that stagnancy in it and growing too slowly. Before leaving the crypto I took shot with hardware mining and it is going just way smoothly than I expected.

The only hard thing with the mining investment is you need to have lot of patience. After sloppy slap of ethereum price I'm bit in loss but over the time it'd come up I know.

You can put your money at stake in differnet curencies but that did not go well to me since a year now.

Literally there are huge piles of altcoins I'm holding and none of them gave me good paychecks. So you can count on hardware mining for longer goals.

As the bitcoin price has increased big it is good to wait for a little or just make investment on altcoins. Whenever there is good progress with the price of bitcoin there will be growth with altcoins. This time the same pattern of growth isn't experienced upon which it is good to invest on top altcoins as there is assured growth with growth of bitcoin in the upcoming days.

I think it would be a good investment in your future profits. Or stop being nervous and wait for the price of BTC to rise.

You may want to move out from virtual investment and invest into something physical depending on the kind of things on demand within your vicinity. Livestock investment won't be bad. You may even establish a small savings and loans firm. Just try something new with great potentials and you will make money soon.

I think the question needs to be more specific.. Masternode is not a good choice to invest in, in my opinion. It can't be for long term anyway. When more people come to it, it will increase the price for sure but with the high inflation, ther will be no more money to come, the value will be starting to lose.

Ethereum is switching to POS from what I read, so it would be a waste of money to invest into GPUs right now. As for other mining options, most of the time, the GPUs used for mining are not available here in my country. If I buy them abroad, it will cost me much more for shipping, not to mention the risk of having them seized because of the customs.

I can see the sentiment market cryptocurrency now, each people has interested again to cryptocurrency and maybe there a person who has decided to buy it. However, if you insist on wanting to have an investment in altcoin seems like BNB is the coin that can be considered. the best solution for such large capital is indeed investing in the top coins on the coinmarketcap list, it's better to just invest in some coins that have profitable growth potential in the future or when the market has recovered
besides, it is also far from the risk of losing a lot of money invested because the top coins have a large number of market capitalization and have been trusted by the people who invest in them.

Ethereum,  litecoin and ripple that three coins is best to make your money grow after few years but having bitcoin still is good because you will earn more money. Your choices to not looking for hyip and other scam investment that can lose your money is best choice you have right decision because you want to avoid that.
Land? Which part of the country does he want to get the land from for $10,000? And there is no amount of investment you have in land that will make it double in 2 or 3 years’ time, only Bitcoin can do so.

Land is a very good asset, I do  not doubt that, but it is  not so easy to have access to the fund used when need arises, if he is to sell the land back, it will take him months or years for him to sell, while he can easily sell his Bitcoin within 2 days if need be.I am not saying land is not good, but I think investing in bitcoin is more profitable and quite more accessible, so he should better leave his fund in BTC.

Initially when I saw your topic, I was expecting that it will be FIAT holding, but then I realize that you already have it in BTC holding, but young man, what more are you looking for? You already have your investment in one of the most reliable coin In the whole of cryptocurrency

If we are to look at it, it seems to me like you have up to 2BTC already which if you wait a little bit more, by next year, you investment could yield you $40,000 in return after the BULL RUN, which I doubt if any other investment will give you that, not even shitcoins or any other altcoins, so I would not advise that you touch your holdings.

There is no need to even think about it, throughout all the time we have seen how top altcoins and bitcoin itself are constantly growing, so this is the most reliable option, and if I was in your place I would invest in bitcoin and ethereum and then just need wait for the next cryptocurrency growth.

There's nothing wrong if you keep your investment in Bitcoin alone. Though the rewards maybe slow and little it's still safer than investing in altcoins which are not stable at the moment. If you insist on investing in other coins aside btc then consider this. Use only 50% of your capital to invest in altcoins and not all of it

don't put all of our asset only in one basket.its to risky for us , maybe diversify into several altcoin will give us more security and profits someday.and bitcoin could be biggest portofolio.

If you don't like to invest in high risk investment then it is better that you should hold your investment to what it is. Bitcoin right now is in good mood and is starting to move it's price upward.

But as the saying says, it is better that you should put your investment in more than one basket. You can divide your investment to either ethereum, ripple and other currencies that has a potential to hold. I suggest pick only the top 15 in coinmarketcap.

My suggestion is just go to the crypto market and start doing day to day trading. I think $ 10000 is a large amount of money and with it you can make many money. But what you should need to have is learn crypto trading. Without crypto trading knowledge, you will waste your money. You should also research yourself before going for investment. Good lock for your better success.

You don’t even have to mention cause everyone already knows that MLM and Ponzi Schemes are not the way forward, joining stuffs like that are just a fast route to losing everything you have. Since bitcoin seems like it is going to take off for a bull run anytime soon, why not invest a little in it and just hodl that amount for the sake of an uptrend? You can also try to trade binary if you’re considering anything outside of cryptocurrency. Their new stop loss is really cool, cause you can stop a trade after you have already executed and that means you can cancel and choose another option.

Although the author is not a supporter of crypto trading, but it is better to buy bitcoins for this amount, wait a few months and sell. Obviously, Bitcoin has gone up and will continue to grow. A month ago, the BTC cost less than $ 4,000, and now it is testing $ 6,000. After a few months, the price of the first cryptocurrency can take off.

You don't need to think about the right type of investment because when you have a bitcoin then you are on the right track. bitcoin holding is a good choice because the price continues to increase and increasingly shows its existence as one of the best investments in the world today. Look at the market at the moment, lots of people are lucky because they can have bitcoin when the price is cheap and then can sell it at a high price.

For the best way to put your very large funds into buying altcoins with the potential to make it more likely that you choose the altcoin in the coinmarket you can choose the top 100 altcoins because I know there are potential altcoins that coinmarket and longtern are altcoind there and if you just want to invest in ico be careful of selecting icos that we just invest because ico maraminh scams that are spreading and not legit it's a lot of scammer because it's widespread now and does not prevent spreading.

For me if your $10,000 dollars are in Bitcoin, its better for you to hold it. im sure BTC was on the way to regain its former price slowly but surely. in that way the risk is just minimal, comparing to invest in different crypto-currency that you can never be sure of its stability unlike Bitcoin it was already tested through the years.

$10,000 in btc is a lot of money to invest, your best shot at increasing this money is to buy and HODL very promising altcoins with the potential to give you more than X100 ROI. I will advise you to split the money into 2 places, invest the first half into altcoins that are in the top 100 in the coinmarketcap with a maximum of $400 in one altcoin and then invest the second half into coins that are outside the top 100 but have great potential of increasing higher. By doing this, you are spreading you risk and diversifying your portfolio.

You need to spend part of your BTC to buy altcoins. I am sure that altcoins will bring your much more profit, while Bitcoin will become the foundation and support for portfolio balance. Pay attention to such cryptocurrencies as Zilliqa, Holo, Tron, Ethereum, Stellar.

It's always difficult question because most of us have different preferences. I think it will be more fair if I will write something about investment
of which I am happy, but this is only my opinion (and I'm still quite new in crypto).
Neo - the whole community around this coin makes me fell as a part of something big. I believe it's good to look at crypto as something more then source of money, and thanks to Neo I have learned this.
FuturoCoin - this was my first investment, and I fell a quite big doze of nostalgia for it. I still hold a quite nice amount of FTO, and I'm happy about it because its team is currently reworking its masternode system, which will now generate passive incomes for masternode owners.

Yes it is very important to not just put all your money in one basket. It is important to split it or divide it. I prefer that $10,000 to be divided into 3 and invest them in BITCOIN, Ethereum and Ripple. Why I put ripple? Because I still see that it will have a great value in the future.

I would advise you to dissolve the investment between bitcoin 50% and 50% between promising altcoins.  Such as ethereum, Litecoin, ripple, NEO and waves.
Agree with your massage. I also believe in the altcoins such as Ethereum, Litecoin, waves and other top 50 of Coinmarketcap website.

For some day traders, this choice will not seem to be the best variant. They would prefer to invest in the cheapest alts that have a great chance to pump. After it, these tokens will dump, but the best traders will be in time to sell them.

If he really know how to trade very well, I think $10,000 is more than enough for him to trade with and make at least $900 every month, it means that in a year time, he might have covered his investment and can put the initial capital into long term holding, use part of the profit he gets by the end of the year, to invest in altcoins, while he uses the remaining part of the profit to continue with his trade.

That will be the best way for him to continuously multiply his investment while still waiting for the bull run to fill his bank with more money from the long term holding.  That amount if money is too much to really just tie down in altcoins that is not yet there time of increase.

Trading can give you the most profit and you will have full control over your funds. You can also buy and hold coins with a great future. Gambling is also a source of big profits but there is so much risk. There are no projects or companies that provide a sure investment on cryptocurrency, a lot of projects are ponzi schemes.

I found an application called "Abra" that lets you buy stocks using bitcoin. You can buy fractions of shares of Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Google. I just red this article a while ago. https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2019/02/06/abra-buy-stocks-bitcoin-etfs/

P.S.   I am not advertising this company, but they are legitimate. I have used this app for bitcoin to fiat exchange.

This isn't investment advice, but if I had $10,000, this is how I would invest it:

1. Bitcoin - 60%
2. ETH - 10%
3. ADA - 10%
4. MIOTA - 10%
5. EOS -  10%

if me, i will go for btc 60% and eth 40%, never think about coin besides this too, because the others coin im personally thing still unstable.

LTC and BNB are good choices. LTC HaLving will take place in the next 3 months and the Binance group has shown a great way to solve the problem after being hacked, so I think their price will go to the moon..

That is what he already has which he stated clearly in his post, I just don’t see much of a reason why the op is considering changing from btc to any other coins when he has already invested in the most reliable coin that everyone knows.

If I were him, even if I have to consider other coins, I would not use what I presently have in Bitcoin but rather struggle to gather more fiat that I can spare to invest in them newly, he will be the one to eventually be happy most by the time he gathers all the profits from both Bitcoin and these altcoins.

Buy bitcoins and put them in some interest bearing wallets.
Bitfinex is a popular name to trust with and they have an option to fund marginal traders with your bitcoins getting you about 10% annual interest on your funding. Though it's not huge, it's better thane putting on any other risky options.

binance is feasible to be your investment destination with that much amount, only need to buy bitcoin or bnb, and wait for at least btc until the end of this year / next. or analyze bnb before they do the next IEO, in this trend prices usually move high and you will profit passively, we can monitor the next IEO on the 20th of May.

If you have $10,000 worth of Bitcoin, I think the best thing you are going to do is to cut it into half and try to invest in Altcoins like Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero, Aidus, IOST or any other cheap coins that will surely give you the best profit. You may also check or choose tokens or coins with your own due diligence for you not to blame anyone of telling you the coins they want you to invest.

I think investing in bitcoin is more than enough because bitcoin will increase to the high price. But if you want to invest in the altcoin, then you should analyze one by one from the top 10 coins list. It's not easy to find the right coins, especially if you want to invest in more than 3 coins because sometimes, the other coins can offer a nice chart to go to the higher price.

Why you want to clear your holdings at a time when BTC is rising significantly in price. The amount of $10000 is bigger amount and it may double in some months as BTC is rising in price. I always consider bitcoin to be a good investment and risk free coin. Its popularity has grown so much that many countries have started using it as a method of payment. If you follow my suggestion, do not sell off your BTC.

I will advice you to keep holding that bitcoin because it will give you good fortune in the future but if you feel there is a need to diversify your investment then I think you can invest 30% of the fund on ethereum.
