The NeoWorld project is the first blockchain-powered virtual world. As of today, the NeoWorld has over 50,000 residents now from over 50 countries, with an average daily active users in the range of thousands.

The team is based in Singapore, Los Angeles and Shanghai, and has over 10 years experiences in builidng large-scale multi-player online games. With its proprietary engine, NeoWorld virtual world allows a user to create cities, together with other virtual residents. Tens of millions of buildings have been constructed over the last one year since the project went live in 22 Jun 2018.

In addition, as part of the User Generated Content initiative, NeoWorld now allowing users to design buildings, structures, or mini-games in their private arena on their land. User build skyscrapers and amusement parks, and even organised racing competitions (videos available on Youtube).   

Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency played an important role in the development of the virtual world. NeoWorld has its own currency based on Ethereum, NeoWorld Cash, which is the medium of all transactions in the virtual world.

More importantly, cryptocurrency helped to form a decentralised economy. The economist of the NeoWorld team explained that with the help of cryptocurrency, a market-oriented economy is established with minimal official efforts since day one. The application of monetary policy tools also protected the virtual economy through its infancy, especially in the fickle crypto market environment.

The team has worked alongside with leading blockchain companies like IOST, NEO, Ontology, supernodes of EOS, etc. to further explore how blockchain technologies could apply. For instance, NEOland was a project in collaboration with NEO, where users could use NEO as an in-game currency, and NEO’s NIP-5 blockchain technology is applied for in-game features. EOSLand for one of the supernodes is also ready and the team has announced a number of similar projects coming, including IOST and Ontology.

Neoworld and DLC focus on different directions, but the product of neoworld is more intuitive, cuz I have observed many contributors write articles about it, while there is a picture describing the overall architecture of neoworld, which impressed me very much.Compared with the current development level of the whole blockchain games, neoworld is a intuitive and intuitive project with great potential, which is worth participating in and experiencing.

It is a really interesting game and it is how a good blockchain game should be .

Neoworld did not upload everything on the blockchain, just the token which called Nash is  on blockchain, so this game can have great improvement every week .

Really? In-game features and functions look limited. Is this virtual world still in alpha? Or  whitepaper mode? I would suggest using an empire-buliding strategy with resource gathering, built technology evolution, etc, etc, stuff you see in MMORPG games everywhere.

As an experienced player, I have to admit that NeoWorld attracts me because we can earn from what we create. I am convinced that there is no comparable programs right now in the Blockchain space.

The global marketing is just getting started and we have seen increasing international players that participate in the virtual world. Some friends have tried to learn Chinese as best as possible. It is the best sign of it and I am proud of it.

No it's not that simple. In Neoworld there is an economic system which is preliminarily created and increasingly optimized by all the players and community. It is that system a big innovation instead of just adding crypto in the game. Thus Neoworld  can be a reflection of the real world which would be far more interesting and  playable than A second life.
