If your post is deleted then you should get private message which describes the reason why the post is deleted, so check your PM. In case that whole thread is deleted, and you post in such thread, then you will not get any message.

You also have option to contact moderato/s of each board and ask them via PM why your post is deleted, but keep in mind that some boards do not have moderator, and they are moderated by global mods.

@Lucius
No it doesn't say the reason and honestly sending a PM to a moderator is time wasting for both. Better to move on

Sometimes, if posts were merged from two or three original posts into only one by mods. They often leave a note in private messages sent to authors of those posts. For reasons why post deleted, I doubt that mods have time and intention to leave reasons via PMs. Mostly due to off-topic, one lined, shit posts. Only one case should be considered is off-topic posts can be judged by mods and you don't agree with mods' decisions, but most of time , mods are right. For one-li Ed, spam/ shit posts, there is no need to discuss.

From the reports it looks like you posted about Atomic Swaps Exchange in Meta. Doesn't belong there and looks like spam anyway.

Partly true, when post is deleted user can get PM like this :

A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted

In this case it is because off-topic, and I agree PM moderators is not the smartest move, what is deleted will likely remain deleted.

theymos emphasizes about off-topic there:
Off-topic replies have become a big problem. From now on, I will be deleting such replies without notice, forum-wide. If your replies disappear, this is probably why.

All replies must respond to the topic's original post in some way, even if they are replying to an on-topic reply. If your reply has nothing to do with the topic post, either add some content that is relevant or create a new topic.

Please report off-topic posts as soon as you see them.
Furthermore, I believe that whenever we get deleted messages, we should stay back and re-consider about potential reasons why our posts deleted. There are some reasons to do this, because if we get deleted posts so many times, maybe we are spammers, and our accounts might be nuked or temporary bans. For higher level users, they rarely fall into such cases, but it makes sense for newbies, whom simply come to the forum, and even don't know all forum rules. Therefore, I support the OP by open the topic and ask for help.

Read the rules here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0), you might find the reason on you own. If still you are perplexed and it is bothering you too much then you can create the topic here.

Do not post on spam and low quality threads because they got trashed and will cause reduction in your post count.(no matter how good was your post.)

This is only true when a single post was deleted and not a complete thread becuase in that case there's no PM.

I'm just wondering if there's any use to create a sticky about reported posts, deleted posts, deleted threads, etc... I think there will be only a few views on that sticky, because most of the newbies and the spammers are only here to write and not to read :D

Thanks for sharing your views.

But I have not received any PM message for deleting a post. Actually, I have created a thread that got deleted.
