There is no relaible source about that. Everyone talking about it but there is no proof. Your article doesn't include any proof also.

in other words in third quarter of 2019 yet another centralized token is going to be added to the list of centralized tokens. the only difference is that this coin has a big name behind it so it can get hyped more compared to others and unless it is a stable coin we can expect big pumps out of it.

There have been rumour about Facebook altcoin over a year and till this moment Facebook itself haven't acknowledge such development and if eventually it comes through it'll be a coin to pay for services on Facebook and nothing more I guess

I don't think you need to be like that, if you don't want to participate or contribute to Facebook coin then it's okay but you should be able to see how the development of Bitcoin prices when it was first created no one cares about bitcoin but the current price can be very expensive.

that's good news if Facebook will launch their third new program, moreover we also know that Facebook has the biggest users this will have a positive impact on those who don't know this cryptoqurrecny world. I dont think they will launch a traditional ICO that we expect on every project. I heard and see some reviews already from some of famous crypto enthusiast and I think the fbcoin will not be related to blockchain but more on a service payment. They will integrate payment system wit their partner social group and merchants which I think I presume will click for mass adoption sincce they are famous. Even Amazon coin will not make much impact too, same as Facebook, the only impact they will have is to add to the general market capitalization, because most of the coins they will produce will basically be stable coin, which will only be useful for their internal operation.

Any coin that comes from a big company or well-known personality is big news, just like what happen to Electroneum, but we still have to see if they will live up to people's expectation, we all know that majority of Facebook's user base are not into cryptocurrency yet, they should first introduce cryptocurrency to their users, or are they only targetting a specific users in their network.

I honestly detest Facebook... and would not consider using that coin because I do not even have a user on that platform. It is almost official. Mark Zuckerberg as an entrepreneur understands the benefits of early access for social media users and he wants to apply his own rules to the game. Surely, Zuckerberg will not take BTC as a base pair to new cryptocurrency but they will refuse to use old coins included dominant coins.

I am not too excited about the FB Coin. During the past 3-4 years, Mark Zuckerberg had made some hostile statements against the concept of crypto-currency. What made him to change his position now? Well, there are indications that the FB user-base is saturating and the revenues may start to decline in the near future. I think it will not really be a crypto currency. I mean how many people think USDT is actually a "crypto currency"? We believe thats a stable token or something and we do not consider USDT as a coin, many people now agree that its a scam and even they themselves finally came clean and said that they are not backed 1to1 like they claimed once.

So, facebook will create something like USDT but for facebook so I don't know what the name will be but the idea will be about the same. I doubt this website is credible. I tend to think it's no need to rush for facebook to join crypto industry. Mark Zuckerberk must consider this completely including the risk they will take. It's should not be a simple consideration for them as they won't lose their reputation.

I was hoping to see a source from official facebook URL, but the rumours might be true because I've seen a video whereby Facebook CEO, Mark, was explaining the need for digital asset in payments recently. Might be this happened just because they had known about facebook instead cryptocurrency so as they are prefer to choose facebook.

I do not see any great future in Facebook launching its crypto, it is never its nitch, they should concentrate on still providing the social media services and having acquired so many social media platforms like Instagram and whatsapp, they should focus on maintaining and improving them. Because in my opinion Facebook also doesn't want to miss technology. So from that Facebook must always follow developments and one way is to enter this crypto space.

Facebook coin in my opinion will be a something good coin because Facebook is a big company right now and everyone in the world know about facebook.
but this coin is possible to be unworth coin because it is still a newbie in cryptocurrency.
I will first see how this coin progress than I will decide what it worth to buy or not.
