A perfect cryptocurrency to me is one that can be used in everyday life. Not just a cryptocurrency seen on paper or virtual stuff. That's why the space needs mass adoption, let the real use of coins be implemented. I look forward to a day I can make physical purchases with cryptocurrency coins.

A lot of projects have perfect concept, unfortunately none of them have a real development, no real use case. As decentralization is a new thing I don't really care about the features, I do hope their projects can be adopted by massive people and be able to replace the current centralize system. Yeah, after the adoptions, we can add more progressive features to make this world perfect.

First of all there will be no perfect currency in existence. Name all the beautiful features that you want with that currency and yet there will be people that will flame some of those features and would express on how unhappy they are. I guess it should be 'ideal' instead of using perfect. And the ideal cryptocurrency for me is just on the making, wait, let me finish. It's already on the process of mass adoption and that's bitcoin, there's a big community and gov't that's supporting it so I won't look for any other.

the perfect cryptocurrency means it needed to be stable and developed but nothing will be estable and standard for long time that is the problem in cryptocurrencies otherwise people using their situation to make money with the development of currency at that time so it changes every time when the market is changing.

A project that has totally decentralized governance. That is reliable. That has many wallets or ways to store value and that could be easily sent to others.

cryptoqurrency as a whole is not perfect, they have deficiencies with each other, but cryptoqurrency can be said to be perfect when they really have no shortcomings. but that is not possible, because cryptoqurrency is not controlled by anyone and among them certainly still has a few shortcomings

If you didn't need to worry about the technical junk behind the scenes that makes it work.. what would be the features of the perfect cryptocurrency?

Unfortunately the technical part is not junk.

Imho a perfect cryptocurrency will be completely anonymous. If one wants to show the transactions and the content of the wallet (audit) special view key should be available to be provided.
The perfect cryptocurrency will have (almost) instant blocks and confirmations. Of course, the network fee will be less than one cent per transaction even in the most busy days.
The perfect cryptocurrency will have extremely easy to use wallet, tutorials and so on.
Obviously it'll be decentralized, it'll be accepted everywhere for buying goods and services, it'll have a strong security against whatever attacks (51%, replay...).
And this coin's value will never decrease (or at least not much). And it is fine to stay at the same value, it doesn't have to rise either.

And I'll end also with "unfortunately".
Unfortunately because of the world as it is, and also because of technical difficulties, many of these "wishes" cannot come to live.

This question though😉 in reality nothing is perfect what you see a top project in 2019 might be shit in 2025. The rate at which technology keeps evolving is a testament to this. No perfect project that is why you see new projects everyday trying to better previous ones

Nothing is perfect in this world. there may be a lot of good crypto advantages, but there will be sacrifices. so that's why there is no perfect crypto.
small, fast, safe and anonymous costs are good. but that is not perfection because it cannot be accepted by everyone. Perfect crypto in my opinion is crypto that can be accepted by everyone without any problems.

It is more appropriate to implement projects in real life. Some of them managed to do this, but the fact that there were many who could not practice caused others not to be seen. In the future this should be expected.

For now I don't think there is any perfect cryptocurrency in the market, and I don't think their will be any for some few years until existing project begin to focus on perfection and not just creating a platform that could be used, one of the problem of many Blockchain project being built is that they don't always build a user friendly platform, which is very bad for adoption, people love a platform where everything is easy for them to understand without the need to follow any guide.

there are no "perfect" cryptocurrencies and there will never be because we are not living in a perfect world and consequently nothing can be perfect. and if you didn't refer to "technical" aspects as "junk" then you would have known this.
whenever you change something, you are sacrificing a bunch of stuff to gain that thing. for example when you increase the block size and reduce the block time you are sacrificing the decentralization and security of the network. all you can do is to reach an equilibrium that is most acceptable.

There is nothing like a perfect cryptocurrency. No crypto can have all perfect attributes like zero fees, extremely scalable, fast with speed of light, real life use cases etc.  At a point in time, there will be lags which will warrant an upgrade especially when the network becomes congested. In essence, advancements will continue to occur to create a nearly perfect crypto as time goes on.

It's hard not to agree with you, I also think that perfect crypto doesn't exist. Despite that fact, I can list a few general advantages of cryptocurrencies which are significant to me. I'm looking for crypto which is quite stable (of course - not in 100% because risk is one of features of this market), has a great community (like for example FuturoCoin) and is constantly developing.

It is hard to define the perfect cryptocurrency. But for me the best criteria is crypto currency that everyone that can adopt like fiat money. The currency that the government will give full authority to used and we legality permit to used like fiat money. But I think it is a long process to make it possible.

It depends on what Op means as perfect currency because we are already having basically two kinds of money at the money, that is what I classify as physical and digital money and they both have different criteria and operates differently. Therefore, what is Op looking for  ??? But I do know that we might not succeed to have one unified physical currency in this sane human age.

I look forward to a day I can make physical purchases with cryptocurrency coins.

Then it wouldn't be called digital currency  ;D

Each person will have their own ideal cryptocurrency, because everything depends on the selection criteria. For me, the ideal cryptocurrency is Bitcoin, because it is the most reliable and popular cryptocurrency. It was Bitcoin that appeared the very first and laid the foundations for the entire crypto market, and all other coins are primarily focused on it when creating it.

It would not be the bitcoin as I can see, bitcoin has gained the momentum and fame to its market price and people who are supporting it. But in fact, to include other characteristics such as: transaction speed, transaction reliability, blockchain and security, there are absolutely other that is way better than bitcoin.

I think the perfect crypto currency I would say is a combination of both development and a working project that would benefit all including (users, future users, developers, investors). Of course there is no such thing as a perfect crypto but I think close to perfect is BTC I would say. Why? BTC benefits user because of its secure payments anonymity. Segwit developers also benefits from it since they are receiving fees for every transactions. Investors benefits from it when there is a bull run which they can make profits on. Lastly future users where they can use BTC more efficiently by the use of developed tools created by developers.

The word "Perfect" doesn't not exist in reality, even through humans strive towards it. Bitcoin with all its leading and pathfinding and creator anonymity still does not have that perfect feature. No cryptocurrency has it even when we skin them down to the barest layman understanding. So, let's quit searching for a perfect coin.

There is only one "perfect" cryptocurrency out there and it is none other than Bitcoin. The idea of cryptocurrency was originally implemented in Bitcoin. All the other cryptocurrencies (LTC, ETH, XMR, XLM, XRP.etc), no matter how advanced they are as far as the technology is concerned, have copied some or all of their aspect from Bitcoin.

Another point that should be noted is that despite being in circulation for more than 10 years, so far none of the hackers have been able to mess up with the Bitcoin Blockchain. That proves that it is the perfect cryptocurrency.

Nothing's perfect in this world and either in cryptocurrency world. Bitcoin isn't perfect, that's why altcoins are created. And even so, each altcoin serves one or a number of limited purposes only. If you difined perfect = value, decentralization, scalability and anonimity then I'd say it's bitcoin + lightning network + Mimblewimble

The perfect cryptocurrency for is that it is acknowledge by the whole governments of the world and the people. As of now it is still a dream, but I hope one day that could happen, I know it is far from reality, how would could that be possible anyway. No banks and middleman? just pure p2p cashless payment, with low transaction fees? Maybe in the future when we are all histories by then.

and to be the perfect project or perfect crypto you need to complete all the wishes of the user. whereas it is possible for everyone to have different desires about the perfect specifications for crypto.
people want anonymity, others want centralized coins, others want a small total supply, others want a large total supply, there will be no perfect project or crypto for everyone

i believe maybe that crypto will hardly exist because no cryptos in this market is perfect, just look at the top cryptos, they are popular just because they are trust worthy, not because their technologies, i believe there are many new altcoins in this market is more advanced and may have more potential than  old top altcoins but it may need more time to survive in this market before they become famous in the future.

For the time being, Bitcoin is gaining some good value and it should be considered as the best coin. There are some good altcoin as well. Binance coin is growing fast.

Now I still consider that bitcoin is the most perfect crypto currency. Bitcoin is a great crypto currency technology. Bitcoin is able to attract public trust so the price can really skyrocket. As a crypto currency coin, bitcoin can be said to be a perfect success. But I don't guarantee that bitcoin can become a perfect crypto currency in the future. Tight competition in crypto currencies makes other coins want to be the most perfect. My prediction, eth will be the most perfect crypto currency coin in the future. Eth's technology is truly beneficial so that people's trust in eth is also high.

Personally, the perfect feature that i want to see in cryptocurrency is the features of anonymization and freedom, becasue the government have treated us so badly, that we need to be free from their enslavement. Personally, the government of my country had clamped down on us several time, and enslaved us till now but thankgod for the cryptocurrency, am happy to be here becasue at last am free!!! because cryptocurrency is all about "anonymity".
