Title: What emotions does cryptocurrency make you feel?
Post by: Frink on May 09, 2019, 11:16:30 PM
From an emotional point of view, what emotions drive you to adopt cryptocurrency?

Fear of the government? Desire to get rich quick? The desire to be a part of a movement? A little bit of each?

One of the preliminary lessons I took from a crypto expert before I joined crypto was not to trade or invest with emotions because crypto is dynamic and can make sudden change in trend at any point in time. The lessons was furthered with the essence of performing extensive personal research into projects or coins before choosing to invest in them and once this happens, the significance of patiently holding till it rises when bear markets set in.

I do Believe that cryptocurrencies would be the future of transactions that people will use. It's practical, thinking that in commutes, buy and sell, etc. Anything that involves the exchange of value, anything of trade, cryptocurrencies Would be applicable. Whenever I believe in something, I apply it in my life, and that's how I feel towards it. Everyone should be able to use this if it becomes mainstream.

Well I can say a little bit of each, but what really made me join the Crypto space was my love for new technologies and move, I was introduced to bitcoin in 2014 by a friend call yazan, I remember him sending me satoshi’s whitepaper, and after I was able to read it, I saw wonders in this technology that haven't been created before, we might not be able to maximize the capacity of the Blockchain in 150 years to come.

I have mixed feelings now. It is clear that crypto is not a miracle. A lot of money has come here, gone and will disappear like water in the sand. For crypto to come into our lives, many need to work a lot.

A desire to be part of the trend maybe. To experience little freedom financially and to explore. There’s a lot to explore to in cryptocurrency, to discover how the movement goes by myself and not just hearing from the experts. Another is to have a taste of what other have enjoyed already and be part of it. I’m quite late in this part but nevertheless, there is no late for a person who wants to try.

Definetely two of this Desire to get rich quick?  A little bit of each?
In addition, we want to be rich, but the presence of a new market excites us. Obviously, it is very primitive to use the currencies physically as it is now.

I do not think it is about me to be afraid of governments and to be rich. In fact the main goal of all of us is to make some profit. But the feeling of being rich with crypto is the main cause of the loss. In addition, I believe crypto will be more useful in the future.

I think the emotion that drives me to adopt cryptocurrency is desire to get rich quickly. Don't be sarcastic I know that all of us will like this concept that's why we are all here in crypto industry hoping for a better life and looking for something to do to become rich. And when we see that our investment start to multiply we are so excited and make our adrenalin to change our life and become rich.

I was very emotional when at that time Bitcoin reached the highest price I didn't have bitcoin, if at that time I had several bitcoin seeds maybe until now I became rich. but that doesn't matter because I have high determination here and I'm sure when bullrun comes, the altcoin price that I have also increases too.

Expensive cost of transactions also boost my certainty in the survival of crypto

Cryptocurrency for me greatly affects emotions in me. Some things can happen unexpectedly. But my principle is when I have made a decision and I have to accept that. Cryptocurrency can provide self satisfaction in learning it. New insights and technology, sharing and sometimes sadness with what happened in the crypto world gave a meaningful impression to me.

Your listed point are not emotions; they are desires you claim for participating in crypto currency

Emotional has to be happy, joyous, glad or sad etc

Instead of emoticons and desires, do your own research

It was mixed of all except the fear of the government.  I was brought in the cryptocurrency industry because I am looking for a good way to earn from investments.  I learned that cryptocurrency is just starting so my interest was been captivated by it.  I know that if we happen to be one of those pioneers in every investment, there is a huge possibility that investment would give a huge return.  Then the more I research about cryptocurrency, the more I get amazed by its technology and concept.

I know that altcoins will increase some day and I determinantly hold my altcoins, but to be honest with you my emotions moved ups and downs due to bitcoin movements recent weeks. This current wave of bitcoin that forced it from below $6000 to even above $7500 before starting to correct hours ago, made my feelings mostly negatively. I understood that I won't get losses because I have not sold my altcoins, and they will rally later, but bad feelings are undeniable.

Getting that desire of getting rich quick will lead you to fall earlier. The emotion that cryptocurrency is giving, this is the market for everyone, a free market where everyone can believe that it's an opportunity that came to majority who doesn't afford to join the rich's market such as stocks although it's not just for the rich people but crypto is different from that. There's that feeling that makes me comfortable to stay in crypto and no matter how low and how high it will show, that feeling won't change.

Indeed, in every ambition there is someone who needs more than others but other than that it can be done with good and uncomplicated strategies or compilation of inaccessible pressures.
In investing all there are phases and it is not easy because there are many risks, as we know Cryptocurrency is a lot of things we must understand before acting and every time we move far more things we can learn.

Really emotion must die when you decide to make money with cryptocurrencies. If you have any emotion you didn't receive any benefits. Because you can't feel a real situation on the crypto market. Emotion will only stop you when you want to find what optimal time to sell or buy any coins. That's why rich people don't have any feeling. They are only hunters for money.

To be honest, I enjoy being part of cryptocurrency and in a time when everyone fears, I try to be greedy and I am talking about bear market right now. If you look at the mindset of people after Binance got hacked, they would call it the failure of blockchain and the best exchange but to be honest, we have seen great websites getting hacked which once used to claim they have the best security system.

We can say fear of politicians on accepting bitcoin, because if the good people run the government then all will be good. This is the lacking thing through out this world and this is the reason we still did not see the bitcoin as a worldwide recognized money.

If the bitcoin accepted as a main payment system and blockchain stream to handle the government data. Then we can easily trace the every transaction will be open to citizen in the country. This is the emotional thing for me and believe this change soon.

It is a pity that I came to the crypto market late enough to earn big money. Now I try to continue investing and making money on it and it starts to turn out for me.

I feel quite excited from time to time because crypto is unpredictable making you create your own set of predictions and making you more excited as times pass by. This also creates anxiety whenever you create a bad decision or a decision that turned out to be great for some point but in the long run it is not. At the end of the day a good profit always makes me happy.

Yes. Whatever our emotions we felt brought by cryptocurrency, one thing for sure we all strive hard to make profits and that will surely make us happy. We come up with positive or negative predictions but admit it we are all here to gain good profits before thinking it of becoming a mainstream as a currency.

For the first time, the emotion that drove me to join a crypto currency was curiosity. From the curiosity arises the desire to explore and learn more with crypto currencies. Finally I started to take part in the bounty campaign. I study while practicing on my own. I really can take advantage of the benefits of crypto currency. I am increasingly in love with crypto currencies and appreciate crypto currencies as one of my passions. I work in the crypto currency, there is no boredom, so I am increasingly excited to do anything related to crypto currency even though I am in an unhealthy condition.

Cryptocurrencies are not only excitement. They are the greatest stress - you always follow the market changes if you are really serious about the work with crypto. When the market is down, it is very difficult not to be upset or even start a panic.
When it is growing like in May 2019, it is also not easy to stay a realist and do not start making the illusions about the best future that will come soon, almost tomorrow.

And my curiosity is so high and I want to learn altcoin. I do step by step to learn altcoin, even though initially it takes time to generate income. But with high enthusiasm within 6 months I have begun to feel the results. At that time I was very happy with the results I got. Feeling excited when following the bounty and it turns out the results are satisfying, and sometimes feel disappointed when following a bounty scam. For me the emotional reaction will continue to exist in following the development of altcoin.

You can't generalize everyone with the stereotypical thought. No, not everyone is into crypto currency to be become rich real quick. There are people out there who are using crypto currencies for financial freedom. Again, there are people who are using crypto currency just for their privacy. They don't care much about the price.
There is nothing to be sad about the price going back to $7,000. Remember we were once only around $3700  just few days ago.

After I discovered btc 2 years ago, it makes me realized that  future is very bright for humanity (but of course we should also learn to erase and minimize the bad footprints we left to Mother Earth). This emotion is hard to control, I have this kind of feeling before but believe me, it didn't worked for me.

Yes! our emotion has a big effect on us because it can really affect our decision just like when the price of bitcoin rise we can decision whether we convert it in our national currency or kept it because of more higher possible increase of price of it same as if the price of bitcoin is low it has a possible to hold the bitcoin and wait it until it get high again or just get it.

Cryptocurrency is a great work of technology, a great way to do so many things such as buying and selling or what we call trading. This is also makes me happy because there’s so much I can learn in a manner that I don’t even need to go places but only in online it’s possible. It makes me persistent to earn and save money but sometimes it makes me feel sad because of the unpaid projects and stuffs or mainly disappointed but it doesn’t matter most of the time.

I think most here is all about making an ROI with their investments and I can't blame them! Money is what drives the world and its so difficult to move without it.  I felt that adoption is key to these certain countries where for example, PayPal is not allowed. Looking at that perspective, all the people there know that cryptocurrency is the key to solving that problem. While others, they love the feel of getting the rush in gaming in cryptocurrency, those gamblers who will either get rich in gambling, or lose big time. While for some and me, I'm into collections and I recently invested in a cryptocollectible project which has augmented reality (http://ecomi.com?utm_source=ecomilx) to make your collections come into life. It's really about finding your passion and looking for projects that you will truly believe in, and getting you rich would come in second/act as a bonus.

Maybe the emotion about how we can make a bigger profit from cryptocurrency and we don't know how to make that profit.
Some people will not realize the hardest thing to make a profit because they could only imagine how easy people making a profit from cryptocurrency.
But we can beat the emotion to make bigger profit by controlling the emotion itself and accepting how much profit we can make and never stop for searching another profit in the other days.

From an emotional point of view, what emotions drive you to adopt cryptocurrency?

Fear of the government? Desire to get rich quick? The desire to be a part of a movement? A little bit of each?

My emotion is torn between two: the strong desire to be one of the early adopters and of course, it'll follow that I'll gain and thus become rich. But it's more of leading the movement as early adopter. It just feels good to know when this crypto thing succeeds, you are one of those who stand by it during its gloomy phase and supported it. Undeniably, you are part of its success. And that, I believe, would pay off one day.

Crypto makes me feel in different ways I had never felt before. I get really optimist when there is a surge in the market value of the coin I hodl. I love the down cost of investment and a bear market excites me greatly to put in my money in the best coin out there and HODL till bullish trends starts. A loss could be taken as a lesson so yeah, it’s so many things.

My desire to get rich led me to the crypto market. I saw the potential of cryptocurrency growth, and decided to try my hand at making money on them. Thanks to cryptocurrency a lot of people have already been able to earn big money. The main thing is to have patience, not be nervous and the desire to learn and earn.

I'd say a little bit of each.  ;D
Don't like the government being able to take your money thru taxes and devaluate what you've worked hard for by inflating the currency supply.
Being part of the movement as well that may bring wealth distribution to the masses.
Getting rich quick is no longer the same as 2017 but I think the 3rd wave in crypto will bring the most massive transfer of wealth.

Well, I would say a desire to get rich quick and a desire to be part of the movement, lol. I've never had any issues with government or anyone. I'm always on my own and trying my best to do the right thing at all times. So I don't see why I would have any issues with the government in any way. And as for those that keeps saying they had problems with their bank, well, I guess you must be into some illegal bad business and that's why you don't want to make use of banks. Cause I don't see why your bank would be tackling you for no reason, if not for you doing something suspicious. If you don't like your bank, there are other banks you can switch to, simple as that.

Learn from emotions control, some for fraudulent news tokens price rise and rising even in short period all gone. Don't fear of the government just be the part of the cryptocurrency and MTC checked,so i was controlled myself.
The emotions that crypto traders feel are when observing prices that are always moving at all times. If prices rise, of course emotions are influenced by excitement because it is profitable.
But if you observe the price movements that continue to decline, of course emotions because of sadness, fear, anxiety and even stress because of imagining the losses that you will suffer.
So from that emotional control is one of the factors that can affect the success of crypto traders. This is clearly seen in professionals who have been able to predict the direction of crypto price movements, compared to amateur players who immediately emotion observe crypto price movements.

That's a big dream mate, but I would not discourage you although it's less likely to happen.
Because you believe, that's already enough for you to choose your best coins and hold it for long term.
You can be rich here if you hold longer and if you can choose a cheap coin that could be successful in the future.

For example, BNB, I am sure investors are already rich at the current price now, it was below 1 usd at the start.

Greedy and fear, sometimes overlaps between two sorts of emotion. Crypto market changes fastly, so emotions of investors move ups and downs considerably too. Control emotions should be one of the most priorities, beside skills and knowledge to do analysis on projects before having good reasons to invest. Do not feel fear and sell at bottoms, and do not feel greed and buy at spikes.

Adoption isnt all about money mate. Sometime people into crypto just love the idea on how this is process and how it works. Many people obviously care alone on profits and possible instant bigtime here but that is depend on the luck and youre perseverance to learn and pick projects that is likely to be a hidden gem like btc. We feel optimistic about cryptocurrency. Since 2017, there has been significant changes on its market, as well as, its mass adoption. Despite the FUD, we believe that crypto will be an economic and secure solution to the challenges we have in our financial system. More and more institutions, including government, are integrating crypto for its transactions. In our case, we aim to give the people a primary crypto for a seamless, transparent, and convenient online shopping experience.

You can actually achieve your goal through this industry if you do the needful diligently. One of the secret to successful trading is for you to first acquire all the necessary knowledge and skills necessary for you to have a smooth trade.

Bounties nowadays can no longer make people rich, but for the smart ones, whatever they get from bounty is what they use to trade and continue multiplying their income. This was where I started from too, I never have any fund to trade or invest in coins, so I participated in bounty and from there was where I raised money for my trading that is already making me thousands of dollars now.

Knowledge, and skills are the most important factors that contribute to general success of traders and investors. However, there is another factor that has nearly the same importance or even more importance level, that is patience. Without ability to control feelings and trading behaviours by waiting patiently for good chances to enter market, traders and investors mostly end with failures and losses. Without patience, they hardly to control their emotions and their orders.

I had the biggest fear this year, this is when Ethereum began to fall below $ 100 and reached $ 80. I thought I was already losing my investment. But Ethereum has already grown almost 3 times.
Crypto has been pretty impressive and I love it when I see the profits people have been making in crypto. I had invested back in 2018 and in the recent dip and things are pretty good right now. What else you need if you are having positive profits? The rate of crypto adoption is another reason of the rise of the crypto era. Facebook and many other giants are getting involved in the game.

I dont think i like cryptocurrency because i hate government. I like cryptocurrency because its secure and when make transaction, its fast and cheaper than banks. Crypto is new investment and i think i just want make profits in the future
In as much as cryptocurrency brings anonymity to one’s transactions, I still don’t like the fact that government are not able to have little control over it because this lack of control is what has made all these scammers take advantage of it, and moreover, if people are happy to use cryptocurrency because they won’t have to deal with government, that will be wrong.

Government still needs us, they need our money and without the taxes we pay, there is no way we can enjoy some of the infrastructures we see around our country and some of the serene environments that we have. But for transactions speed, cryptocurrency is the master of them all.

If emotions was important then I won't have got into cryptocurrency because of the volatility, it's makes me sad to see my portfolio down. But like in any business or hustle, you don't let your emotions cloud your reasoning and judgement, so I don't consider emotions at all.

Crypto makes me vibrate for many reasons: ideological first, by its anticonformist and revolutionary aspect. Then it satisfies my intellect to learn new things in different areas: economic, geographical, cultural through the use of a foreign language and the discussion with people from other countries. And finally, the adrenaline produced during some trades is comparable to a drug, which can lead to a possible enrichment :) What good points!

yes, there are benefits, meaning Crypto teaches us to be patient and think positively, because if we are impatient and not optimistic we will definitely be emotional so we can take actions that can be dangerous.
Cryptocurrency can make us different, if we can manage well so that positive things are in us.

Relating to emotions, I can say altcoin holders have temporarily nearly same emotions as bitcoin holders back in late of 2018. However, altcoin holders will be all fine later, as bitcoin holders all surpassed their hard time, and currently enjoy sweetie ride of bitcoin. Patience, and time of waiting will help holders winning the game. It's not easy, because it's uncomfortable to look at balance everyday and see it falls. However, eventually holders will be fine if they can control their emotions.

yes, I agree with you, if we place emotions while in crypto trading, it will certainly influence in making decisions when trading, I would rather call it a goal, where some people aim to get rich by investing in crypto and of course that will provide an economic life better.

I think the fear of the government is unreasonable because now the world is connected to the internet and we are doing transactions freely. The government will certainly regulate cryptocurrency if the transaction gets bigger because the government must protect the investment of its citizens

Sooner or later the government will do their best to interfere and to have good authorities to regulate this market to utilize and protect their jurisdictions, we need to be ready as adoptions is nearly to come and more and more countries will show up there Support and simply use this system with regulated terms to make sure the secureness of this chain.
