Title: Any thoughts on Casa Node?
Post by: superbotolo on May 09, 2019, 11:36:55 PM
Hi all,

I'd love to have a node running 24/7. The Casa Node solution seems to be a pretty good one. Any thoughts?

I wonder if raspberry PI still handles bitcoin nodes. There are a couple projects out there doing just that. Should do it, just need proper storage. I don't think it matters too much what node you end up running, as long as it keeps supporting the latest official updates and releases.

If you have the money, then go for it even though it's a bit expensive in my opinion. But if you want to save money and at the same time don't mind hours of learning and tinkering, you probably can buy yourself a Raspberry Pi device instead, and set it up on your own.

I just wanted to share that I ended up building a RaspiBlitz and I am super happy about it. I paid $120 in material and it's working very well.

I find the Casa Box very interesting, because everything is already preconfigured.
But is it right that I have to pay $ 300 annually?
So I do not buy a complete box, but a subscription service?
Or can I get the box alone?
