Title: Ban user Lumen111
Post by: lumen11111 on May 10, 2019, 07:17:09 AM

Dear moderator, my account Lumen111 was banned today.

The reason, as I understand it, is to repeat the message.
This is not plagiarism, not spam.
On the bounty page of the company that I led more than a year ago, I repeated my message to users.

Today I was banned for it on the forum forever.
I consider it an inadequate punishment for the mistake made.
And please reconsider your decision.

1.With that message went more than a year.
2. I answered the users on my page. They repeated the question, I replicated the answer.
Who considers the punishment for it adequate?
For a mistake made over a year ago?

I am sure that's not the reason you were banned as the posts were deleted by mods. Somewhere somehow, you must have posted text without citing a source since you were so notorious with those auto translate tools.

You have been reported to be breaking forum rules quite a handful times
- Massive spamming
- Rampant usage auto translation tools to make fake translations for bounties.

I don't think you will get any chance of getting your ban lifted.

- Massive spamming
When?

- Rampant usage auto translation tools to make fake translations for bounties.
When?I myself do not translate. For bounty, the more.
I hire professional translators to translate texts.

I don't. If the punishment were adequate, people wouldn't keep making these "mistakes".

I suggest we start requiring two-factor authentication to log on, except instead of a token, the second factor is a tamper-proof shock collar under moderator control. I'm sure this will increase the adequacy of forum punishments. 8)

I am not sure exactly  why you have got ban. But when I visited your profile find this two post on the first page that are same with each other in different thread without any reference link.

Have you seen recently that your post deleted automatically  by moderators? If you saw then there is a chance that the deleted  post was reported by someone clicking on " report to moderator "button.

Yesterday, almost 300 accounts were banned, that's about 4 times more than most days.

I am not sure exactly  why you have got ban. But when I visited your profile find this two post on the first page that are same with each other in different thread without any reference link.

I don't think multiposting gets you an instant ban.

where was it reported?
Who reported your bad posts or when they reported are not matter with you. The matter is you should spend a minute to remember that you actually did copy & paste post from other sources (beyond the forum) or from other forum users' posts without source links or quote block. Or if you did not remember, you should check your post history, most of time such copy & paste posts are long ones. If it is what you did in the past, you deserved permanent ban, and you won't have chance to see your ban lifted because I don't think (just my guess) you are a really asset of the forum. An asset of forum means you are a member whom did lots of contributions to the forum community.

Fast check, you actually posted in four (maybe more than four) languages, English, Korean, Chinese, and Russian, so I guess plagiarism is highly reason of your permanent ban.
No source link and maybe duplicate posts in different languages, like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2449967.msg25449264#msg25449264
Additionally, bumps in a row, more than once in a single day (but this reason might lead to only temp ban):

Dear moderator, my account Lumen111 was banned today.

Quite possibly because of this:

From this rule-
12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting it in the local language boards if it's translated).
User Lumen111 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1083364) has posted his service thread 4 times in two different boards. I think this user deserves a ban.

you think for two years I can remember everything that is written in the rules?
If there were violations, the moderator could indicate this immediately, I would draw the appropriate conclusions.
You can apply a temporary ban so that the user thinks about his mistakes.

or you could just read the fucking rules and not break them - as I said bitcoin.com is calling, I don't care if you do not support BCH your behavior and lack of respect for this forum shows you do not support this place.

now jog on, Ver is calling!

So, now you blame on forum admin or mods?
You should at least read this one first (and should read more on forum rules);
  • Plagiarism: If you copy some text from somewhere, then you should have a good reason for it, and you must link to the source. Doing otherwise is plagiarism. Changing a few words around doesn't matter. If we find that you plagiarized, then you absolutely will be permanently banned, even if we find it years after you did it.
  • Multi-posting: Do not post twice in a row in a topic. Instead, edit your old post.
  • Low-content posts: Do not post low-content garbage like "agreed!", "nice project!", etc. You can be banned for this, and it's also pointless if you want to increase your rank, since you will never get merit for such posts.

Warning: Anyone caught copying other users' posts or plagiarising content from elsewhere on the web will be immediately permabanned. You shouldn't need a warning to know that this isn't acceptable under any circumstances.

Here are the rules>https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

Rule #12:
Quote
12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting it in the local language boards if it's translated).
You posted the same thread in Economy > Marketplace > Services and Alternate cryptocurrencies > Marketplace (Altcoins) > Service Announcements (Altcoins) + you opened 3 identical threads in the same board on DEC 20 2018.

But I don't think think this is the reason for your ban since the threads have not been deleted, probably there were other instances of spamming or copy/pasting.

Shouldn't that be a reason for a 7 day ban? It seems like a "minor" thing compared to others who didn't get banned.

Once again, I emphasize that these are my messages.
I do not plagiarize !!!
If I suddenly repeated the message, only my own.
I understood my mistake and have not repeated it for a long time.

At the same time received a life ban.
Therefore, I consider the punishment is not adequate offense.

I do not plagiarize !!!
Multiple posts likely are not reasons of your permanent ban, like LoyceV said, if it is the first time you banned. There are three times of temporary bans before you get permanent ban in case it does not come from plagiarism.

Who knows you did not plagiarise? I don't spend my time to check your posts because most of them were not written in English, but others might check your post history. You should wait for hours, then someone will point it out.
If you actually did not plagiarise, it is good because you will have chance to see your permanent ban switched to temporary ban. Just wait for more proofs.

You should wait for hours, then someone will point it out.
As always proofs of plagiarism found, and they are not English posts. There are likely more plagiarised posts, but a single plagiarised post is enough to close your case. Staff actually shown three plagiarised posts. Another reason to think that plagiarism is what caused your permanent ban is you posted in four languages (at least). That's abnormal. Some of your posts are potentially plagiarised posts like this: New sort of plagiarism (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5120180.0)
Fast check, you actually posted in four (maybe more than four) languages, English, Korean, Chinese, and Russian, so I guess plagiarism is highly reason of your permanent ban.

Then maybe this?
~

now with Xal0lex's finding on those 3 (of many) plagiarised posts, permanent ban on OP is appropriate and justifiable
perhaps in the beginning only a few spam posts of OP was reported by someone
then after thoroughly checking all OP's post, the reporter found a plagiarised one and reported it last
that could be the reason why I'm seeing these recent entries on modlog page quoted below
