Post by: di-livio on March 13, 2014, 04:00:29 PM
Hi all,

Im going to build my second mining rig. My previous rig contains 3 sapphire radeon 7950 GPU (around 1600kh/s)

Im thinking of buying the following hardware (planning to mine around 4000 kh/s):

CPU: Intel G3220 http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/348265/intel-pentium-g3220-boxed.html      € 53
RAM: 8GB Kingston  http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/353848/kingston-8gb-1333mhz-ddr3.html    € 95
PSU:  Enermax  http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/295463/enermax-platimax-epm1500egt.html       € 332
GPU: Asus R9 280x http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/350974/asus-r9280x-dc2-3gd5.html     € 1400
Harddrive: WD 500GB http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/340173/wd-blue-wd5000lpvx-500gb.html  € 50
Riser cables: https://www.pcirisers.nl/product-informatie/1x-naar-16x-Riser-Cables/RISER-1x16x-19CM-POWERED/PCI-Express-1x-naar-16x-19CM-Molex-Powered-Riser-Cable.html                               € 60

What do you guys think, can it be cheaper?

Thanks in advance

MOBO: H81 Pro BTC is crap. I just returned mine. It didn't managed to get 3 GPUs running.

Effectively that can be cheaper to buy outside the eurozone.

+1 I tried the H81 Pro BTC as well. Gave up as I couldn't get it to work with 2 GPUs.

For that amount of money, I would buy some gridseed asics. It's hard to cover your electricity cost with GPUs.
