Title: Correct Order Of Operations To Get Optimal Hashrate Help
Post by: boxraider on May 13, 2019, 05:48:55 PM
Hey guys, I'm new to mining and have a rx590 fatboy which WAS mining at 31.5mhs but i was trying to lower the voltage a hair and she crashed on me. Tried to do the same thing from last night and now im back to 27mhs. I have no friggin clue why my One-Click-Memory wont register. It'll say applied and all that but when i pull up AMD Tweaker Tool to see my actual CAS timings, etc, itll read stock, but timing will say setting :1 (0 - Default). Any clue as to how im getting sometimes able to get 30+ mhs but most of the time its 27-28mhs.
Memclock - 2200-2300mh, 850mv
Coreclock - 1200mhs, 850mv

I'd like to get this operation to properly work consistently, and quite frankly its frustrating being given a tool to make it better but unable to make it work for me. ???

NOTE: If you haven't flashed custom bios up until now, back up your original one before proceeding further.
1. Reset everything --> Flash original bios and then find a custom bios which can OC higher for your RX590 according to the memory vendor of the card (Google for VGA bios).
2. OC mem clock in intervals of  +50MHz and keep doing it until failure.
3. Downclock core clock in intervals of -25MHz and keep doing it until the hashrate is affected.
4. Down volt Memory and core respectively again till failure.

User OverDriveNtool and save your configuration once you figured out the best settings possible.
