Hello!
Is there an official or proven Bitcoin web wallet? To be able to create a wallet without exchanges.

Why don't you use blockchain (https://blockchain.com) .
It is the best and most trusted web wallet for me.
But if you want to really secure your crypto buy a hardware wallet like nano ledger.

Well, there are actually a lot of trusted wallet and it all depends on your preference. You can try coinbase and blockchain wallet if you want an online wallet. However, if you want to secure your bitcoin it is best for you to buy your hardware wallet, Trezor or Nano Ledger is the best option for hardware wallets.

There is no official Bitcoin web wallet existed nor proven to be reliable and trusted. After all, I suggest you to not put your Bitcoin on a web wallet since its too risky, and more prone to a hacker. There's no official web wallet, only official wallet which is bitcoin core. For proven web wallet, there's already some of them are trusted. From bitcoin website https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/web/ . There are more option which are blockchain and coinbase extra exchange feature in them if you want.

Using web wallet for storage your big amount of coin or store it for long time is risky. Only use them if you want to store it for short time or do daily trade.

bitcoin is not a centralized company to have an "official" wallet software. bitcoin-core is called the "reference client" because it acts as reference implementation of Bitcoin (protocol) but there is nothing "official" here.


it is worth adding that although both of these options are bad, but there is a big difference between them. Coinbase is not a wallet but an account since they control your keys and you only have an account which they can close. but blockchain.com does not have any access to your keys so they can't close anything.

Blockchain wallet is good, maybe has the highest users, and it supports some altcoins too and support swapping of coin at a network fee, it has both an andriod and IOS app, you should back up your private keys and enable 2FA.

I know it, since i use both of them back in the past. But since op wanted to know web wallet then these two should be good option and they both quite popular too.
