gotsatoshi.com for a period of time has put a countdown to revealing the real identity of satoshi, the bitcoin's creator.
They seem to have some info or at least some influence as they are covered in various media.
What can we expect to get after 12 hours? The real satoshi? Is he willing to reveal himself or is someone blowing his cover?
Or just another fake satoshi who is trying to get attention?

I suspect that it is nothing more than a publicity stunt.

True talk, we have severally seen people of such poor publicity all in the name of revealing the real genius Satoshi Nakamoto, but end up given us unmerited project without a product behind it. We are no longer fools to believe them bet you.

This may amount to nothing and it just to get people into acknowledging the website because I don't believe their can reveal the real identity of santoshi and at that when the time expire they may simply go into exit. Just 12 hours left and they joke will end I have never trusted that site and I don't even visit the site cause I believe it just a waist of time.

I think I have read this announcement about weeks ago. Visited their site and it requires email. I had tried putting an email that I just occassionaly just to see what is this about. Seems that this is just a good marketing strategy to promote their coin. Well, only a few hours left, lets just wait and see.

They probably just want a good promotion, attracts attention to their project and nothing more.
After all, real Satoshi has no reason to discover his true identity because nothing has changed in the last 10 years.

Another great publicity stunt or you can say a smart way to collect email addresses so that they can build a valuable list. Almost everyone might have given them their correct email address.

Scamming has gone one notch ahead now, Interestingly there are so many out here who believe them. Like the BSV community.

Who has no information about that person will not hide it and try to present it in such a way, this site is propaganda exactly as 2012 phenomenon.

They will most likely sell your mail addresses for advertising. I'm sure Satoshi is much smarter than that!

Like the past scam ICO and airdrops they are just collecting the details and IP address and it is evident from the details @TimeBits posted, never visit those shitty websites and expose yourself, with the price of bitcoin starting to move up, we will see many forms of attacks against bitcoin to steal the coins away from you, so make sure you think twice before visiting any sites if you store any sensitive information, like private keys or other details.
No one is going to find Satoshi unless he comes forward and prove that he could sign in from the genesis wallet.

Why in the world are you guys diverting attention towards such useless sites op? Do you actually believe that they will reveal Satoshi? I don't know what set off this whole Satoshi mania recently, but it needs to stop. Give the man/woman/group the privacy they deserve people.

Just an hour left in the countdown but I don't expect any surprising announcements. They might be doing some publicity stunt to attract attention to some other much important matter than knowing the true identity of satoshi. The way this site's countdown is spreading in news makes some sense.

Satoshi title is now obsolete to bitcoin or crypto currency. He left Bitcoin on an early stage and Bitcoin has prospered without his help. He may as well be the creator of bsv but no one cares.

We all do care about Satoshi honestly, how couldn't we be curious about a person who creates a significant impact on the worlds, and made a revolutionary technology.

It's Satoshi but not the Satoshi, creator of Bitcoin but Satoshi something different.
Nice way to advertise their product but I don't think such negative advertisement would yield them any positive response.

If Satoshi was going to announce who they were, it is unlikely to be a clickbaity site with a phishing email addy.

I'm expecting this is a clever marketing ploy, because I am seeing some promotional material being tweeted by this person. The mystery behind Satoshi Nakamoto is certainly a draw for many, since people naturally love mysteries. If it's Satoshi, great, but I am expecting this is a clever put-on.

Of course, nothing will happen. At best, a person will be named without any serious evidence that this person once used the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. Most likely, this is just a publicity stunt.

I think it's just a publicity stunt. I think that if Satoshi wanted to disclose his identity, he would have done something differently. I can hardly believe the news.

Satoshi Nakamoto is probably the best name you could use to attract more attention to you when talking about cryptocurrencies and if you mention something about revealing his identity then you have the perfect marketing campaign. There is a reason why Satoshi has not revealed himself yet, either he is waiting for a special moment to do it or he plans to die anonymous just like he was created. Anyways, I'm not expecting Satoshi to use a website to promote his revealing. If he wants to do it he will do it somewhere publicly where everyone can see and know about this.

I agree. I am not sure why people are obsessed about this. This always makes people lose their minds about famous people. It isn't even that important. People have an obsession with knowing who someone is.
There is no way to prove who it is and it will never be revealed. Just hype nothing more. Maybe it is one reason bitcoin is mooning right now?

The site got popularity in the short time, and I think many people have disappointed to know the reality of what they want to tell them because they do not reveal who Satoshi Nakamoto is, but they are promoting a project which is not related to Satoshi Nakamoto.
