now the bitcoin has reached 8000$ and the altcoin is starting to move up. can this survive or there will be another fall. can this be said that the bear market is over?

The way I see it, it's going to move up again in a day or two. There are some circulating news about ebay accepting bitcoin and also about bakkt. Maybe we'll see another $1K increase by the end of the week.

From the assumption that my bear market might have gone because a few weeks ago the market showed an increase and only the correction remained. the market goes up and you're still asking " then what?" take advantage of the moment to gain profits, don't waste the opportunity that already exists.

Why people always said the bear market is over? lol. Calm down people, the bear market is just starting but it's not means it will always go up. The market is just calm down for a second.

The bitcoin price is stable at $8,000 right now and if there is a fall, no need to panic. It will go up again for sure.

Then maybe we should actually stop focusing on the price of bitcoin all the time and just be patient for the long-term.

Price has since started to stabilize or just play seesaw in between $8200 and $7900. It seems that it is struggling to go higher than $8200, although sell orders doesn't seem to be of concern right now albeit the buy orders being thin on most exchanges. $9000 is still possible over the next few days if momentum is kept rock solid by the bulls, but for now, it's normal that people will be taking profits, hence the slow trading days.

And you are right there is no need to panic I am seeing it being stable or safe at $8k marker.

Bitcoin is now worth $ 8000 and I do not think there is any reason to worry. Bitcoin prices will increase further. I do not think Bitcoin's price will be reduced again now. Bitcoin's price seems to increase.

bakkt and ebay I don't think that must be true. and ebay, until then I haven't seen official information. and if that happens won't there be a problem with paypal?. I'm sure if there is another drop later, bakkt will be delayed again.

i think it's wrong, if we don't pay attention to bitcoin right now. we will not be able to get profit. buying and holding without knowing the latest situation is very risky. you could buy when the price can't go up.

Compare the market growth since 2018 up until now? Then tell me how did you say that the bear market is jus t starting, we had recovered from the recent bear-market and we cannot speculate whether if the prices will still push thru. A lot of people are expecting $10,000.

With all these current figures we have to analyze the stability ratio and how long will these figures stay in the market.

I think the bear market is over ever ta confirms this also, but for how far and fast it can go up or will, its hard to say.
But at this pace we have right now it would not suprise me to be back at ath before this years end.

On short term it is possible to see some retraction after the bull race we saw the last days.

Currently altcoins has taken the lead as Bitcoin stay stable now. Has this happened before now? am curious about seeing Altcoins on a bullish status and Bitcoin not be affected alongside. Binance hacking doesn't have an effect of the price still the barrier of the bear market was broken by a bull market and now we are seeing that the market price was pumping up and the price of 8,000 dollars bitcoin price will have a chance to become $10k. As what we have saw seen now also altcoins were breaching up and perhaps it will be followed by the Bitcoin price movement especially Ethereum. You're right. Based on my technical analysis, it will continue to bull run for the next few days but I am thinking that it will bounce back and we will experience again the big red candle. As you can see, the market seems exhausted and another big dump will gonna perform. Oh well, that depends on how whales will gonna react on this current market state.

It is still going to pump up for me but I think it if it wouldn't then I think it would stay between $7,800-8,000 .
We couldn't really know what's going to happen next it could start to pump again or just stay at it's current price.
But I think it is just taking it slow from this point and it would continue to go up again soon.

for some miner the current price of bitcoin is lot cheaper than mining it using their rigs when the halving occur

Price changes will always be there and we will not be able to know exactly what will happen. The movement of the price of Bitcoin at this time does look active and the direction of movement is in such a positive method. We could not say that the bear market is over because the market is still unpredicted. Perhaps you remember what happened in a few days ago when bitcoin reaches the very high price but then suddenly, the price has dropped deeper and makes people panic for a while. It looks like $8,000 is temporary resistance, so we may either linger, retrace, or head higher to a new level of resistance. It's hard to say exactly how this will play out, because the market is filled with FOMO - which is a strong emotion - and thus is somewhat irrational. In my view, no one knows what will happen in the short term, but in the long term the market seems highly bullish.

I think the bear market is over for a month and a half already. However, as much as I enjoy to see the price getting higher, I am more concerned with what's happening than happy. I was pretty sure Bitcoin would get stuck between 6 and 7 thousand something for a while. Instead, it only took a couple of days to reach $8k. This looks way too much like the 2017 case. The fees already jumped, people are trading a lot, the price is moving up too fast. I think that if it doesn't slow down, we might see another long bearish market soon.

Based on the charts, we are having a nice positive slope for the top coins. This might be the end of the bearish market and the start of the bullish market. For sure a lot of us are very excited witb the progress that is happening these past weeks. The charts look green again. Bitcoin is really pulling the altcoins up. Can't disagree, i think that the halving is crucial to current price rises, and will have tremendous affect on whole market in the next months.

whatever this is and whether bitcoin is going to go much higher than $8k this month or not, we are already sure about one thing and that is the fact that the bear market has been over for a couple of months now and many people have been having a hard time accepting that for some reason! in fact ever since price started the accumulation phase and then the slow rise it was a good signal of the end of the bear market.
what we are seeing these days is just the reality kicking in for some people who then FOMO buy and cause the fast rises.

Well is something happen and maybe now will follow again some drop and possible the grow will continue next month only, but until then we need to wait and hold if we buy on last bull run.

As I always thought that the market goes in cycles and repeats the schedule, You wonder what will happen next ? I will say my opinion and it is that no one knows exactly what will happen next. I can assume what would happen next 9000$ - 10000$ - 11000$ ...! But maybe coming again on the bottom )

I do not think so. The jump will be too much if it crosses above 10K which is still very far. As we can see, the price still has trouble sustaining above 8K. It keeps on sliding back when it reaches this level.

I hope that this is a sign for a long-term uptrend. Of course a slight decline will often be seen and that can be an opportunity for short-term traders. I think the price of 10k usd could be achieved in the next few weeks if nothing gets in the way

Many are saying the bear market is certainly over and even cnbc announced it yesterday on their crypto news forecast.
Wall street journal has an article put out earlier today about the bulls taking over for good.
So these are good signs for the progress of bitcoin and it reaching the all time high of a year and half ago very soon. ;)

Most of us if not all are still positive that after reaching $8k another level will be reached, small declined will be expected as those who's aiming for short term benefits will also begin to sell out and cash out their profits, but because of uptrend possibilities more investors will buy in and make this bull to be much wider.

Sure, the bear market is not absolutely over as we may see a little bit of market correction before we rise up again. This year is good for crypto investments so i have decided to invest into ethereum and ripple and hold till the end of the year before selling it.

If you have followed the market especially in the past years then you can say that the happenings are keep on repeating.
This kind of scenario will surely continue until the bitcoin price will hit it's peak and once it hit it's peak.

I think that the good news spreading out has a positive effect on bitcoin's price increasing trend recently. If many shops that will be rising up and promote bitcoin as their new way of transactions on basic services they had, that will be a bigger impact to digital currency economy drive. Price will be stabilized at higher value and bitcoin will not be moving all alone but also for the alt to have sustainable and profitable value in the future. We will not only see $8k to remain to that level, because greater potential of making that price twice or more when bull run strikes.

Looks like we have settled around $8000 for now. Both market are now being pump, ETH crosses $200 already so obviously more people are entering the market. So reaching $8000 is already a achievement in itself, who wouldn't have thought that April-May month will be very positive after a long bearish trend? As to what's next, we will have to wait and see, it looks like it settled down this week, speculators are taking profits, so let's wait if you can push the price to $8200-$8400 short term.

We have All Time High Volume ( about $100Billion ) in a day, but we all know almost exchange have fake volume.

Nobody knows. There were people saying BTC will never ever reach $5k again. There were people saying it will go down to $100.

Now the price is rising. How much and how long? Nobody knows. Maybe it could go up to 10k until Wednesday. Maybe it will decrease back to 5k in a few hours.

In my own opinion I don't think anyone can foresee the future and relate the next price move of bitcoin or altcoin.

Expect another dip. The market always moves in waves. It will need to go down to gather strength for the up swing to reach 9-10K.
It's always a question of when is the dip and when is the upswing going to happen.

Obviously we wanted the price to continue it's dramatic rise. However, at some point we should need a pullback as well. Sometimes pullback is healthy in the long run. People will have a chance to get and enter the market.

Many have been excited about bitcoin reaching the 8K mark, I guess it's safe to say that the bull market is now confirmed. However, my worry remains for those who filled up their bags back then when the value went to a low 3.2K. There might be some price pullbacks since they want to cash out their hefty profits. Well dips are only normal but you should not talk about the dip this early because bull run is only getting started  . Didnt you love the bull ?  Why cant you just enjoy it . Yes of course. For people who buy bitcoin at $3.000 it is good time to get 100% profit. Those bitcoin holder maybe use the profit that they got to invest in ICO or altcoin. It is normal, but I think bitcoin price will still go up until $9.000-$10.000 aproximately then it price will fall again to $7.000 then the price will rise again. yes maybe you are right, this is very different from yesterday's downtrend. not only one or two coins have increased, almost all altcoins in the market are green.I don't think it's excessive, 6000$ is the normal limit, especially bitcoin goes up too fast. based on my experience, if there is an unnatural increase like this. then there will be a big correction.

I am more worried about the declining Bitcoin dominance. So far this week, it has gone down from 60% to 56%. I am afraid that it may be a repetition of 2017, when many of the worthless altcoins went up by 100x and 200x. These alts are like parasites, leaching off volumes and users from Bitcoin. For me theres a chance for bitcoin will pump up again for this year hopefully it will increase because people expecting that all altcoins will grow up again so there are few people willing to invest and hold.

Considering the changes in the market price of Bitcoin for the pass two days now, Bitcoin's market value will be hitting $9k very soon and it will remain between $8900 and $9000 for a long time before making another increase. But for that increase, I'm not too sure it will happen any time soon.

I was surprised that the market did not crash when the news broke out about Binance was hacked and a few thousand dollars was lost because of that because usually, the market reacts when something like this happens. Back then, price of Bitcoin will drop 10% - 20% or even more.  Maybe the community now is thinking the other way, its not their coin that was lost so why panic and sell.

With a continuous growth in the crypto market,i think there are more chances that its price will keep rising even more and might reach above $10k in the long run.Hopefully we can see some potential altcoins too start to increase so we can also make good profits by holding our altcoins in the long term.

It is the best year so far for bitcoin in after it decreases its price in 2018. Bitcoin now have reached $8000 and i think it can surely reach about $10,000 within a month since it rises in a quick pace now in the market.

I was surprised by a price crash. Actually I was expecting the prices to move up, after the favorable decision obtained by Bitfinex from the New York Supreme Court. Anyway, I guess that the profit booking phase was long due. Those who purchased the coins at 3K and 4K are selling their coins and booking the profits. Now we can expect the prices to remain at 6.5K - 7K levels for the rest of the month, before moving up probably by the first week of next month (June).

That's really a surprising fall as most of expectations are for uptrend to continue, but you most be right for holders who bought from the bottom it's a good timing to sell and then buy it back whenever the value again went to a good fall do the cycle and take the advantage.

The bear market is definitely over. It ended at the very moment when we crossed the upper boundary of the global downward channel.

Bitcoin does have criteria that are unpredictable and can change rapidly when going down or up. but this time after a long period of unmoving period a few months ago. after bitcoin has broken through to $ 4K, until now it continues to move up, even though the movement is always followed by a decline as well.
this year is the year where bitcoin will move well and will even match like 2017.

I think, it's not that easy. bitcoin will never be like in 2017 again. even though it will rise later, there will be a decline afterwards. btc will not be able to survive above forever. if you don't believe, you can see now. when everyone thinks it will continue to rise, suddenly the price drops.

And it dropped down by 10%, I mean that's pretty normal that people will sell few or even all of their assets because they were worrying that it could be just a bubble or something or they just want to playing safe. Let's just hope it will back to $8k someday.

I see many posts on both here and facebook on how bitcoin is going down but some of us that has been in this market for long really understand what is happening. There is no sound reason why bitcoin is falling currently and that means traders are currently taking the advantage of the current gained to take profits.  The wise and skillful traders are trying to find the bottom now and buying for the next stage of bull run.  I am happy that some of us here are learning fast about the up and down of the cryptocurrencies assets pricing.

Yes, Btc has reached $ 8000 and then it started to pull back again. Ups and downs are very normal in crypto industry. Apparently this was not the bullrun that we were waiting.

Generally, the increase of bitcoin in this year,2019, has shown us a better mood than it did in 2018. The sign of bulling market is predicted to be more dominant than the bear one. However, due to its highly volatile, we cannot know exactly what it will be. Today bitcoin has immediately decrease had made many people get surprise as i see. Anyways, i think it's just a normal thing in market, it will soon have recovery.

Now bitcoin has fallen in price to $ 7,000 and this can be considered quite normal for him. It can not grow for a long time in price without adjusting its course in price. Therefore, his behavior is quite normal. It would be the opposite, it would be bad if bitcoin grew in price for a long time without correction, it would indicate the possibility of its price fall and a long period of stagnation. The market has improved in terms of prices of most of the valuable coins yet it is not confirmed a bull market. Bitcoin has set the pace straight and now most of the altcoins are moving along with it. There is more probability that this upward movement will trigger the initiation of the bull run. I don't see another fall any time soon.

The strength of btc has a lot to contribute to the crypto technology in terms of price to every alts because the dump of the king "btc" is the dump of every other coins and as it move the whole market will change in USD price while the btc value to alts will dump which has a very good indicator for it to be king .

The LEO token (from Bitfinex) will be listed on Monday and I'll be very curious about its market performance. Bitfinex is currently dealing with a $850 million shortfall in the funds, and my honest opinion is that they are only a few steps away from declaring bankruptcy. But it looks like none of the users here are taking this issue seriously. In case their token get listed successfully, then it will just confirm what I said.

Yes bitcoin price has reached $ 8000 This is almost the year after we can see. But the next price is likely to get $10,000. However, many investors will try to double the profit. Because 2018 has brought them down a lot.

I just checked the Bitstamp prices and we are at $7932.08 per coin. This is nothing short of miraculous. The correction has been wiped out in less than 48 hours. Either the supply has been trimmed, or the demand has increased tremendously. The trends indicate that the bull rally will resume shortly and we may witness the 10K level very soon (probably by next month, if not earlier).

Today bitcoin is trying to break the $8,000 barricades again and hoping to hit the $10,000 value before May or June ends(but of course this is hard as rock to break)

Very able, because in my opinion bitcoin has come out of a bearish period and has entered a bullish start. This will continue and I don't think it will stop at $8000. Bitcoin in the next 3 months is still able to penetrate the value of $10,000, so we just look at the process and don't forget to buy it from now before regretting it.

The next resistance level is going to be 9.5K - 10K, and 8,000 is not a significant milestone. I expect the 8K level to be breached anytime soon and then the values should move towards 10K. As at today we are seeing some selling off from the $8000 trading Area and it is currently close to $7500 support level. If that area is broken we may experience little set back based on the last month trading channel. Yeah, I think so, it it goes up to $8k again, it will break another barrier maybe $9k or $10k. It's just btc is having a hard time getting back up. You don't need to worry more about it since this is how the market really works, it is sometimes going up or going down. Since we were growing for almost a month, this time is the time to reverse it back again, and so on. I don't have to worry about this price though since it is still bullish and it hasn't broken a resistance below so this is normal.

Aren't you glad the the bear market is over? $8k is a miracle for me because I was only speculating that btc will only  reach $5k and will either get stuck there or go up and down on that value. And now, I am starting to believe those articles about the time traveler that btc will hit $100k next year because of turn of events.

It cannot grow too fast yet, its growth will be slow and it will not reach any price records this year. It's really hard to predict when the price of bitcoin will go, either down or uptrend. I have noticed this movement of bitcoin now. When it is having a correction it takes 1 week to recover and it is having a surge of a massive increase. Reaching the price 9k dollars after this short correction also possible to happen like what happened last month or the other month. So, in this case, all I can say let our hand make strong to hold at the dip and wait when the bull market comes.

price recovery is currently unstable. even now the price of bitcoin is below the price of $ 8000 after rising above it. we might need to wait for the price to rise again, and however, this is a good thing. we cannot say that this is the end of the bear market, but we know that this is the beginning of a bull market.

I wouldn't give people that kind of expectation on what will be the potential price of bitcoin with a certain period of time. We know it that everything on the market is very unpredictable and there's no way to know on how much it would be. Well then it's still your prediction and you can kind of stick to it but as I've said, I won't give that kind of hope to others. The tip that I can give to them is to believe that the market has gone out of the bear and this is just a slow process of recovery which is better for us.

I have always been in favor of bitcoin moving up with healthy correction. In case bitcoin move straight up (like in 2017), then it will be dumped hard. We already seen bitcoin dumped from 20k to 3K in a period of almost 1 year. I hope this time bitcoin move up slowly. The more stable the bitcoin will be, the more will be the chance that it will not fall down from the current prices.

I think because of the price is adjust a little dropped. Its a usual on the price of btc is changing, so will say that its a bear market is already ended. Bitcoin price was around 8000$ but now it is dropped a bit , maybe due to weekend. Bitcoin is mostly shaky on weekends. I am anticipating bitcoin to reach 9000$ by the end of June 2019.

Weekends can be a cash-out day for winning traders and gamblers, time for them to enjoy their profits and spend some relaxing for their friends and families, small downside will not affect the market that much be calm and if you have some spare money you can observed and do some shopping

There are many speculatiions that weekends influence  in negative way on Bitcoin price but there is mo actual proof for that. I would say this weekend was the opposite, Price has moved up a bit but it seems that 8000$ boundary it's still hard to break again. Even in the upcoming week I don't expect that.

  I don't doubt that bitcoin can reach $8k, but I think it will happen in the mean time as the current market has carrying high volatilization that affect its price on bouncing $7k. Blue line is 2 day average and yellow the 8 day, its quite negative action for the moment and looked this way Friday similarly.   However I dont know it will pass the previous low of 7500 without first trying to challenge 8000 again

Something occurred to me today. Litecoin's halving is supposed to happen in early August. If we were entering a multi-month correction to the $5,000s-$6,000s then that means the "halving pump" would already be over.

But what do we see on the LTC charts? LTCUSD's weekly chart closed green despite all the blood on the BTC chart. So LTC is still looking quite strong. Litecoin retaining this sort of bullish momentum is a good sign for upside continuation on BTC.

As of now from experts view the price could go upwards and if this didn't take place we can expect the price to drop low reaching close to $5000. Anyways, with several exciting news 8K was in sight and twitter space was full lambo, moon and rocket pictures. This is generally a time where my sell orders get executed.
Tweeter were very sure over the last three weeks. Bitcoin masters and superstars claimed that, should the bitcoin break above $10,000 again, and this was all but a foregone conclusion in their view, it would be the last time investors would ever see 10K.

This is a big fail so far on the price of bitcoin but hopefully it will not affect the market for the rest of 2019. Its sad that we are not able to go beyond $9k but yes we still have time to achieve that though that news is quiet not reliable, i hope big investors will not move like this and push the market up.

Yes slow but still increasing, sometimes I see the correction as a defense mechanism that the Bitcoin technology is beginning to use to defend itself against damage again.

If you look at the last bull run, we were really not seeing much corrections, and when the price was spiking continuously, it amazes people and everyone started putting in money out of FOMO until a whale decided to dump a very big amount and because such action were strange to people, they all started panic selling too including me.

But with this new strategy of Bitcoin, people no longer react to FOMO or react to correction that much, they just allow the system to play well, which I believe is a little bit better for Bitcoin system.

Bitcoin is rising, and in some time we will see new ath, that some time can be soon or not, we need to be patient for that. At the moment the price is above 8000$ again. But the question is could it stay there and move forward or not, will it pull back again. as i said earlier in this topic, there are a lot of newcomers who are still stuck in the trend that we had last year mainly because it lasted too long and also because these types of people when they choose a mentality they stick to it until they are either out of money or lose enough to wake up.
that is why we still keep seeing these kind of comments in speculation circles "wishing" for the drop they have been expecting to happen and being disappointed about it every day.

This crypto world is something else. Imagine something that was very low few months back but now it keep increasing almost on a daily basis. Funny enough I still don't have any btc stored any where for future use but I strongly believe crypto has come to stay irrespective of the price of btc at any point in time.

That is why only those that keep holding and patience enough for the market to recover are those that will keep making money in this market. I think you should learn from this because many investors and traders' eyes has not been open to this. Some of them sell out of panic when the market is on the bearish directions and I do tell people that if they desire to make money from the market then they should buy when bitcoin is down and only sell when it is bullish.

The bear market is over but we are far away than the bull run! Right now, Bitcoin price has come under 8K USD! So, it is difficult to say what next! I believe bitcoin price will come to 9K USD once again in this month! But we need to cross the 10K USD mark!

We have crossed $9k already, as high as $9200 but looks like we have a correction. However, I disagree with you saying that we are not yet in the bull-run, the last bottom is like $3100 and we are somewhat move past that almost 3x. Do you mean we need to get to $10K before saying that we are out of the bearish trend?
